I hired North American Van Lines for a move from Houston to Portland, Maine. Everyone I worked with every step along the way was helpful and professional. The driver and person most responsible for the move, Jerome, was great. Everything arrived safely and on time and Jerome worked hard to make sure everything was moved in up two sets of stairs and assembled where necessary. Their pricing was fair as well. I highly recommend North American Van Lines.

Bill Brock’s response to my calls and texts were immediate. What a fantastic problem solver. As was Heidi. Ricardo our driver was very professional and courteous as was his crew. A-1 NAVL is probably the best moving company I have ever worked with. I am a realtor and have sold lots of homes for people moving around the country. I will always recommend A1

Would not choose same service again.
1. On picking up day they arrived 5-6 hr late
2. A lot of my furniture had scratches and I had a couple of missing items.
3. I was told that the furniture that had to be unassembled at my house was going to be re reassembled at my new place but delivering crew had a terrible attitude about it and only assembled part of the furniture ( and did a terrible job) we had to do it all over again.

We couldn't be happier with North American Van Lines! From start to finish you did a professional, efficient and fantastic job!
Our North American Van Lines driver and his team delivered our furnishings safely to Florida (from Texas). Even during the rainstorms they covered things and kept them dry, efficiently moved things from the rental to storage, and got our things safely into the rental.
We have already referred several people and will continue to do so! Thank you again for making this long-distance move so smooth!

The overall experience was good. If none of the furniture had been damaged in transit, I would have given 5 stars.The field representative definitely knew what he was doing and provided the most accurate estimate of expenses at the best price against 3 other companies.The move coordinator kept us informed from start to finish, taking care of every issue as it developed.The best person overall was the driver of our truck. He contacted us in advance to arrange for both the pickup and unload of our family belongings. As a seasoned trucker, he offered driving directions to avoid areas of bad weather (snow). He checked to make sure we were going to arrive in time to meet them for the delivery.The crew members the driver selected for the load up and the unload were all friendly, professional and courteous. They were as careful as possible throughout the whole ordeal.I would highly recommend using North American Van Lines for any cross country move. There were no issues that they didn't have a resolution for, and a schedule that actually worked for us.

My stuff got picked up on the date I was promised and dropped off on the date I was promised. The driver kept in touch with me and we actually got along quite ?? Y’all moving is not easy and extremely stressful and getting a few laughs in while getting this done was therapeutic. Not sure how to explain it, you just have to experience it. Thank you ? Over one week after initial delivery, heavy crated tabletop is still in the carport and A1 Freeman informs me that they have to find assistance they can afford to get it in the house. The moving team left an armoire totally wrapped in movers’ pads in the wrong bedroom as they said it would Not fit through the correct bedroom door. Since it was left in one piece, wrapped up, looks like they did not try.

The move was almost flawless. The driver was the best part because he was reliable, timely and communicated very well. The only part that wasn't flawless was the packing. There were a few things that were packed or labeled incorrectly. For example, some brackets that were needed for an office shelf were put in a box that went into a room for David. Also, almost every box from the kitchen had "plates" on it when it really had other things in it. There were some things that were frustrating to find and some boxes that we would have put straight into the basement for storage if they had been labeled incorrectly. I know it cost me at least 5 hours extra times searching for things that were in the wrong place or labeled incorrectly. But overall the experience was great.

Unfortunately we did not have a good experience. We had enough household items to fill a large truck. On moving day a trailer showed up that was already partially packed with someone else’s goods and we were told that they had gone over their estimated allowance. This meant that they were going to have to get another truck at their convenience. We had to wait until they found another truck to get our remaining shipment. The first truck arrived beyond their estimated delivery date. The second truck was unloaded and reloaded somewhere along the way as it arrived in a different trailer a week later. Our belongings were partially unwrapped and looked worse than when they were initially loaded. The driver said he personally and on his own loaded the truck. He claims he loaded our upright piano by himself. This is inexcusable and completely unprofessional. Not only did we have to adjust our schedules to meet theirs, we had 2 separate days to spend meeting and unloading our goods. Not everything is unpacked but there is visible damage due to the reloading and careless care taken with our belongings. Personnel was always courteous but the inconvenience and lack of care was more than poor. I would not recommend this company to anyone. The sad thing is that I was assured that all our belongings would be loaded and delivered by the same driver at one time.

All of the personnel were extremely professional throughout the process. I had contacted multiple movers, but only one responded quickly and demonstrated that they wanted the business.The follow-through was exceptional with the packers and movers working with us during the holiday timeline. I have absolutely no comments on how they could have been better.Exceptional service. Thank you to the team.
