My experience since transferring both of my dogs to Neartown has been amazing!! Dr. Miller is truly wonderful!!! I’ve been at the ease since moving my girls here and with Dr. Miller’s approach to their care. I wasn’t pressured to make rushed decisions or overwhelmed with lots of treatments/medications, etc. Instead she listened and truly took time to become familiar with my dogs to recommend the best treatment. I feel confident my dogs will never be over medicated or in a constant state of change and that they will always receive the most professional and well-informed treatment plans. It doesn’t end with Dr. Miller. William, who scheduled my first appointment and handled my checkout, was exceptional. He made the whole process easy and shared what options were available for getting my dogs’ medication. Daisy greeted us when we arrived. She could not have been kinder or more welcoming. My dogs loved our vet technician Alexis!! Even my shy German Shepherd puppy. She was gentle and patient with them. I’m pretty sure they’d be excited to go to their next appointment just to see her…and the rest of the team. Thank you Neartown Animal Clinic!!!

I have been bringing my dogs to Neartown since I moved to the neighborhood in 2017. They have always been accommodating, and able to handle last minute needs. The doctors and staff are friendly, caring and warm, and take a personal interest in my dogs.

Neartown has been a part of our pets lives for many years. Their staff is helpful and compassionate. And, they really listen when our pets have a medical issue. Highly recommend.

Appalling Care and Disrespectful Treatment at Neartown Animal Clinic.
I am writing to express my utter disgust and frustration with the abysmal care and unprofessional conduct exhibited by Neartown Animal Clinic. My 6-year-old cat, Luna, has been in excruciating pain for over two years, a fact I explicitly communicated during our visit in June 2024. Despite the severe condition of Luna’s back legs, which has forced her to live under my bed and led to weight gain, the response from your clinic has been nothing short of dismissive and negligent.
Dr. Brandi Miller’s handling of Luna’s case was shockingly inadequate. Rather than addressing the serious issues I detailed, she attributed Luna’s suffering to her weight and trivialized her pain by labeling her as a “talker.” This response was not only dismissive but also deeply insulting, given the visible distress Luna was in. I also informed Dr. Miller about Luna’s injury from squeezing between fence poles, yet this crucial detail was ignored, and no proper examination or treatment was provided.
The dismal service did not end there. My boyfriend, Shane, followed up with an email last night, seeking assistance for Luna’s worsening condition, but we were met with gaslighting from Brandon, the receptionist. Brandon insisted that he had not received the email, which felt like an attempt to dismiss our concerns. He refused to let me speak directly to any veterinarian and instead offered to read the doctor’s notes, which was utterly unhelpful as I was present during the visit and know exactly what was discussed.
To add insult to injury, Brandon now suggests that we need to pay for another exam, despite the original visit failing to address Luna’s pain effectively. This is outrageous and completely unacceptable. It is beyond frustrating to deal with such a lack of empathy and professionalism.
I am appalled by the dismissive attitude of both Dr. Miller and Brandon. your clinic’s inability to provide proper care and communication is both disgraceful and unacceptable.
This experience has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I hope it serves as a wake-up call for your clinic to address these glaring issues.

We love Neartown Animal Clinic - for real !!!!! It is a wonderful place - and we take it personally because our animals are family. We have been going here for a few years now and have NEVER had any issues. The care from the team - from the moment you walk in the door, to the Vet Assistants, and Vets are amazing. They are on top of everything. Their care and treatment of our cats is nothing less than perfect. We were just in this week and Destiny somehow magically had one of our cats fall in love with her and her personality and handling, along with her insights for us. Then, Dr. Miller examined with the utmost care and transfer of thoughts to us. I highly recommend this place. They will surpass your expectations each time.

Overall I have been pleased with this vet and staff. However, the fee for a 3 minute nail trim for my cat has steadily been increasing and it went from $21 to $24. On top of that, when I was told my total at checkout I was told that all services now have a tech fee of $16 dollars. So basically a nail trim service has more than doubled in the last few months with no update. I did price check around the area for similar situations, and this definitely does not seem the norm. In this economy, I am certainly going to have to reevaluate if I want to continue going here as I normally need her nails trimmed every 4-6 weeks. It’s unfortunate but I did call to confirm I wasn’t overcharged and the response I got was that’s the policy. It would be nice to receive notice of price changes.

After waiting for four hours and spending a lot of money on tests, they didn't even prescribe a painkiller or administer antibiotics through injection to help my cat feel better.
