“I just discovered this rare gem in Katy Texas. This is a division of H-E-B and this is the most affordable grocery store. Their groceries are quality. You can get 3 pounds of bananas always for 99 cents. You can get a 1 gallon bottle of spring water for $.95. They have such affordable pricing and it has saved me so much money in the long run in the past several months. This store is constantly busy, but it is worth the trip. I absolutely love their product selection and would recommend others to check them out.”
“This was my first time buying meat from this place and all I can say is so far so good. I haven't had the opportunity to taste the quality of it yet. Will update soon.”
“Very good halal food and very nice owner, he helped me, he shared wifi with me during the storm when att was down. I bought a very tasty baklava and Arabic desert here, thanks you so much.”
“Fresh variety of meets, fruits, veggies, Latin section foods, soul food , the variety of homemade buddan is the best in Houston that I have found, I travel even too LA, TX and never found as good and the best tastings , flavors, pork, chicken, Beef my favorite ? Service is great too, Security is there all day sometimes even bagging groceries, you don't see this kind of service anywhere, bilinguals , English , Spanish, Vitatnamiees , Highly recommend, clean restrooms etc...”
“I witnessed the owner/ guy on the the counter being generous towards a customer (which is a rare sight to behold at such troubled times) and thought of awarding them a 5 star review since they very much deserved it in my eyes! Such people need acknowledgment!”

7125 Scott St, Houston“I enjoyed this establishment. It was very clean and bright. The items were clearly labeled. There were a variety of items which made making my choice a great experience.”
“Found Herbert's by accident. I love Cajun cuisine, so I gave it a shot got lunch today. When I first saw it, I thought it was a meat market-it's is (more on that later). It's clean, sunlit and sizable. There are two doors, one goes into the eatery and the other enters into the meat market. I spoke to the staff and asked was there a Mr. Herbert's. They said there wasn't, but they introduced me to the owner, Mr. Capp. He informed me the Herbert's didn't want to leave Louisiana, but he has the franchise rights in Texas. The meat section was full of meat (Mr. Capp said they have a processing area in the rear). My lunch mate wondered if they would process a deer if you brought one. Mr. Capped said if you bring a wild deer or wild hog, they will process it. The meat you bring must be skinned & quartered-if not, they'll decline. They didn't have standard prices nor do work by weight, but Mr. Capp said they'll discuss prices once your ready to go. THEY DONT PROCESS FARM PIGS.Now to the eatery. Sadly, there's not a lot of seating area-that's the only drawback. There menu is section in appetizers, sandwiches, platters & special. I had boudin egg rolls & a boudin link. My lunch mate had a sandwich with tater-tots.Herbert's has several locations on Houston. I will be back and I'll try to bring my friends from the boot when they visit Houston.”
“They have to have the largest selection of Wagyu beef in Houston. There were several cuts and items, even wagyu jerky! The cheeses, beans, and other items look home made and delicious. Can't wait to try more”

12675 Fondren Rd, Houston“I’m from Louisiana and one of my friends also from Louisiana pointed me to this store..Mannn, when I tell you they have the best pecan candy (pralines) boudin in the city!!This is the closest I get to my hometown of Morgan City,Louisiana. I go there often n buy out the pecan candy!Deeeelicious?”
“Great corner store with a friendly neighborhood vibe you don't get much of any more in this city. Easily the best bang for your buck breakfast / all day tacos you will find in a 35 mi radius, I always forget this and order 2 but only eat one for breakfast and the other for lunch - and I'm borderline too full at each meal. Everyone is super friendly and the ladies who cook the food know what they are doing. Best carniceria in Das Zweiter in my book - and did i say the staff is fantastically friendly.”
“OMG I ate the best baklava in Houston! When the doors of the food mart opened, the aroma that hit me was insane! I didn’t bother to look at any of the products on the shelves. My nose literally led me to the back of the food mart where the bakery is.I saw trays and trays of different kinds of baklavas in the display cases. I got greedy (as usual when it comes to sweet food) and asked for eight different kinds of baklavas. The baklavas were sold by per pounds. Luckily I brought my Turkish friend along which helped in the communication part, and I was able to get a few pieces of each kind. The baklavas weren’t too sweet, and they were so awesomely good. If I have to choose one favorite (trust me, it is tough to have one favorite only), it would have to be the cold baklavas with hazelnut or pistachios. Eat them straight out from the fridge is just aaahhhh… Diyarbakir Burma with pistachio had a good texture contrast that was so good.I also got the rice pudding (forgot to take a pic because I gobbled it down before I remember to take a pic) which came in a small rectangle aluminum tray. The rice pudding was baked well, and it wasn’t overly sweet. I enjoyed it thoroughly.Other than sweets, the bakery sells breads too. That would be the food item l will purchase on my next visit.”
“My favorite speciality meat bucher shop with ready-to-go food made fresh daily! We had amazing tamale, beef stew, marinated chicken thighs, spicy pork sauce, and flan! The store front is hidden but the store workers are super friendly! You may be able to meet the owner’s daughter who works here and regularly meets customers!”
“I can't say anything you have to try it your self I went to every where I drove from Kingwood 1hour drive and item worth it they have chicken meat frish when I say frish I mean it this will be my Dailey to go place for house groceries”

11913 Bissonnet St, Houston“Royal Halal Supermarket is a hidden gem for authentic Bangladeshi groceries in Houston, Texas. Their Deshi fish selection is hands down the best in town—fresh and diverse. The store boasts a warm atmosphere, knowledgeable staff, and a wide range of quality products. If you're craving a taste of Bangladesh, this is the spot! Highly recommended.”
“This is not as cozy as the Lake Charles location. I found the selection to be sub par but not a lost cause. The fresh side had a few options. Frozen side had too many options but slim pickings. There is no store brand seasoning for sale which was also a surprise. All in all I’d probably just return to the Lake Charles location for future purchases. This store is basically an outlet with no character or warm boudin balls to enjoy.”
“I usually have a hard time eating or even craving food. However you posted something which made my stomach growl I ordered and let me tell you it was one of the best meals my tummy ever had and thanks to ya for helping someone with colon cancer finally eat. Will highly recommend to everyone”
“Fresh meat, great service, welcoming staff. Freshly stocked. Everything you need in one place and very convenient for people of other faiths as they have halal meats. Get yourself a Fresh coffee while your over there getting groceries.”
“Best Barbacoa in the East Side of Houston…family owned and operated for over 30 years at least from what I remember. You better get there early Saturday & Sunday morning because they run out fast!”

“My boyfriend and I found them on Google, they are closer to us than a lot of halal meat markets. We came in looking for good quality meat, and that's exactly what we purchased. We were lucky enough to meet the owner, who was very hospitable and helpful to us. They aren't fully open on Tuesdays, but that didn't stop them from giving us exactly what we needed at an excellent price. Better than Costco. We will definitely be coming back ?”
6AM - 10:01PM
3401 Broadway St, Houston“I wanted to take my mom to a great little taco spot. They did not disappoint. I just pulled in here, knowing they would be good. It was the best quesadilla i have ever had. They didn't cut it. It was a two-handed sack of fajita beef and cheese. We were on the way to a concert, so we ate it on the way in the car...just passing it back and forth. I saved a couple of bites to give to a friend. The bites did not make it.”

“been a regular here for many years, their tacos are honestly some of the best, always feels fresh and well made. the store itself really gives off the feeling as if you really are in a corner store from Mexico, absolutely would recommend to stop here for a quick bite and light grocery shopping.”
“Always came to this Pancho’s Meat Market since I was a kid. Enjoy coming here for goodies, food or tortillas. Yesterday 3/2 I wanted to get some cheese but didn’t know what to get. Shoutout to cashier Oralia! She went to the meat section and asked for the cheese I had described her. She went above and beyond! Thank you! ?”

11655 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston“What happened to the smiles and customer friendliness? A lot of facial seriousness.
Good variety of groceries and fresh meat,
On this occasion the barbecue did not turn out very well, it was dry, similar to dry mashed meat. Fajita was well prepared.”
“Eating in La Potosina is a true delight to the palate and the senses, its food is truly Mexican as it preserves the flavor and aroma of Mexico, apart from its cooks and waitresses who are more than attentive and always with a good attitude, I recommend this place. for lunch or dinner knowing that the most demanding palate will be more than satisfied”
8AM - 11PM
7445 Calhoun Rd, Houston“Curly & CJ are great store owners. They always look out if you are short and a regular customer. The service is beyond great. They are friendly people persons.
