I had an amazing experience at Maida’s. I purchased a pair of leather Hermes sandals that were severely damaged in the front & top of the leather during my first wear. After Hermes refused to do anything and told me it was impossible to fix them, I found Maida’s. Maida’s did an amazing job color matching the paint for the leather and repairing the damage. It looks like new! Thank you for saving my shoes.

I had 2 visits at Maida's when I came to Houston last Spring '23 for a short trip. They refurbished a favorite old pair of good leather shoes. They looked brand new again, and Maida's even carried a hard to find polish I purchased. They also replaced a too-high heel on a pair of boots for a lower walking heel. On another visit, I brought my puppy's new leather collar that was too long. Mr Maida cut and sealed the new end, and put in an extra hole. The staff was always friendly and helpful, and I enjoyed conversation with Mr. Maida. I felt welcomed, and will be bringing all my shoe and boots repairs to Maida's for their quality work.

These folks are the real deal. My grandfather's boots were starting to come apart and were badly scuffed up, and what Maida's handed me after working on them looked like an entirely new pair. Gorgeous craftsmanship, will never go anywhere else.

Maida's Shoe and Boot Repair is the real deal! Its a long standing family owned from father to his sons. They are very knowledgeable and will give it to you straight. They are probably 1 of 4 places in the U.S. able to do what they do in both repair or building your own shoes, boots, etc. Its fun how they explain how the production process happens in the shoe development. With that said, its no cheap event to have your own shoe's manufactured so bring the brix bank account. Regardless of the price come in and take the time to meet these folks and get a bit of Houston history too.

I brought some white shoes for them to clean them up and make the posible to look white and they didn't clean them good. Stains all over the shoes even the sole. I just feel like they didn't wanna do their job good. Also they charged me $30!!!! Just for them not to look good

I bought a nice handbag in Paris a couple years ago and noticed it was wearing badly on the corners. It was going to cost a small fortune to send the bag to Paris so my husband suggested I try Maida's. I'm so glad I did! My bag was repaired perfectly and for a very fair price. I will definitely bring any and all of my leather items here when they need a refresh. (For some reason, Yelp isn't letting me upload the "before" photo, but trust me, it was bad).

I was clearly told my shoes would be ready on a certain day. Went in and they were not ready. No call no apology. Siad they would be ready the next day. Went in and they were not ready. No call and no apology. Went to Houston Shoe Hospital. Less than half the price and ready in half the time.
