I had a really unorthodox challenge that I have been trying to resolve for over a month. After mitigating the issue through the Best Buy customer service dept the problem had still not resolved itself. After working with Montse at the Best Buy galleria Geek Squad department she was able to recognize and resolve the issue without further headache or drama. I can't say enough good things about her ability to calmly work towards a resolution while still managing to successfully multitask and solve challenges presented by other customers. This experience has encouraged me to use the galleria Geek Squad department exclusively. Thanks for being so awesome!

Please Beware of Online Ordering for Store Pickup!!!!!!I ordered a laptop for in store pickup. I received my email receipt that they were working on my order. I then received my receipt that it was ready for pickup with the stores address. When I got there they said they shipped it some where in another state. I have yet to get my money returned. I also had them lie to me several times about what needed to be done to get my money back. I have recording I will be sharing online. Please be careful because I am still trying to get my money back. Who takes someone's money and doesn't give them the product, then tells them to wait till it is delivered. I didn't order for shipping!!! It is going somewhere in another state! They can see someone did it after I completed my order but claim they can't tell who. So why are they holding up my money. Please be aware and share if this is happening to you also. I want to know if this is some type of major fraud from them. You can clearly see they keep acting obtuse when anyone can see I had in store pickup!!!

I purchased a brand new washer/ dryer for their Labor Day sale. Was extremely happy with the purchase as we had done our research and this seemed to be the perfect match. The washer was delivered first, and dryer came a couple weeks after. Washer works perfect, dryer never worked. We were pushed around to their customer service number to get a tech and see if they could fix it. Before pushing the problem back to the original store. At the original store we were told there was nothing they could do as it just so happened that Samsung retired that set, we were sent to the outlet store to get a matching pair and their management was awful, machines were destroyed. Upon being sent back to the original store the managers have bounced us off each other, the problem has not been resolved. This is a nightmare. Will not be shopping here again. Very disappointed and upset.

I have been going to this location constantly because it is very close to its new place in Houston. I mean it when I told you how many things we bought from this location from April thru July this year. After buying so many products, there is a time when you want to learn about different products. At that point, they want you to contact Geek Squad by appointment, located right side of the store. At that point, you expect to like this is the last step, and all will be ok. Unfortunately, people who work there are insulting and literally make fun of you to your face, and they are allowed to disrespect you. I guess after spending 3 to 4 thousand dollars, we have no choice left. I met more than 4 or 5 people but especially two workers who seemed to be young guys with no basic training. One name is Maguil or Manuil, and the other guy is Deye because he gets upset when I try to say his name. When I asked a few concerns about apps related to the products I bought, they were laughing, and I wondered what was so funny, and they told me that's all we could help. But you both didn't even help me because you were having fun. Drinking water dripping from your mouth and smiling over questions asked, that's all you guys did. In this heat, Best Buy's AC was not working, worsening the situation during these visits. Today I noticed this location has only two stars, and now I know why. If you want to visit this location, please do your homework, buy the product, and leave. Their Geek help is not worth it. I am hoping managers will do something about it. Otherwise, try other locations.

I appreciated the help of associate/LG Specialist, Mr. Taylor Richardson provided in the TV department. If it were not for him, I likely would not have made such a large purchase with confidence! He took his time explaining all of the latest technology of OLED TVs and demonstrated a great deal of patience answering my multitude of questions. "In Taylor I Trust!"

No more in-store service. There are way better HI-FI stores in Houston with people who will be glad to help you when you want, not just when they can fit you in. I’ve been buying form Magnolia for over a decade, as spent quite a bit of money. I want to be able to wake up on a Saturday morning and go take care of errands, and I want to be able to make that decision when I feel like it, not according to someone else’s freaking schedule.

Only a hand full of employees and every thing pretty much is locked up to you can't self serve and there predominately staff is really only interested in helping the women in thought yoga pants. Went in to get a sensor for my nest thermostat which would have taken someone five seconds to get it out of the glass case for me. The sales man walk by me to help a lady with big boobs and yoga pants. No wonder they are losing business. So went to Home Depot to get what i needed. By the way when I said something to the security guy by the door about the lack of staff he just smiled and said have a nice day. So they really don't care

I have been coming to THIS Best Buy for years. Bought the Xbox when it was first released here; party in the Parking Lot that night. I have seen this store adapt with the times. From a huge CD sales section, to DVD'Ss taking up most of the space. Who could forget when home audio and car systems were what drove business. A tech support team that really tries to help you. Now if you act unreasonable, you probably then felt the need to post a bad review which is a shame. Maybe it is time to look in the mirror. This store is here for your electronic and appliance needs. Your Toshiba or IBM Thinkpad needs to go in the dumpster and you need a new laptop.

I took my hard drive to Best Buy as it would not communicate with my computer. It took over two weeks, but I was called from their data recovery center and told that they could transfer 70% of my data. I was charged $600 for the service and a new hard drive. I picked it up, took it home, and found that I could not open the Photo file on it. That was the main content of the drive. I tried to call the store, but you cannot call a Best But store. Your calls are sent to a central number. It took a half hour, and I was given an appointment for the next day at 10:40 AM. I arrived at 10:35, and I was finally waited on at 11:05 after a person with no appointment ahead of me was serviced. It took another half hour, and I was finally told that the few files that were salvaged was all they could do. Basically, the service was worthless but cost me time and $600. DO NOT USE GEEK SQUAD.

If there was a zero star rating, I would assign it to this store. Best Buy has teetered on going out of business several times, and I think it will not be long before they do. I purchased two Chris Pine DVD's for $19.99 each. When I tried to play the first one, it simply would NOT play, just perpetually tried loading, but to no avail. I returned it to Best Buy and was given another disk of the same movie. When it would not play, I tried the second movie. It would not play either.I returned to Best Buy with both and asked for a refund as the DVD's were clearly defective. (Every other DVD plays on my device, so it's not the device)The young man, who says he was the manager on duty, told me he could only give me a store credit because of store policy. I showed on the receipt that it was clearly within the return period, and said I wanted a refund to my credit card. But, I was told I should have read the sign. When he took me to the sign, it was in a frame next to the store's operating permits on a side wall in the entry alcove to the store! CLEARLY NOT MEANT TO BE SEEN OR READ BY CUSTOMERS.Also, remember I didn't just change my mind about the DVD's...they sold me defective and unusable merchandise!!!I asked to speak with the General Manager. The young man said the GM was not there. I asked for his/her name. He said it was Leslie Castille, but he really didn't know how the last name was spelled...HIS BOSS. I will pursue contacting Mr. Castille...and Best Buy Corporate Offices, but clearly will spend much more than the $43.28 that Best Buy has already cheated me out of.

I walked into this store fully ready to spend between $5,500-$6,500 on a camera and lens.I wait in the camera section for about 10 minutes looking to talk to someone. No one is around to help. Meanwhile, staff is standing around talking to each other. I walk to the checkout and ask them for assistance. They page someone. With an attitude nonetheless. A couple of minutes later someone comes to me and says he will help to the best of his ability because there isn't a camera guy scheduled to work this shift. With a terrible attitude yet again. Mind you, I am not rude and am very mindful of how I ask for things. It truly seems like the staff simply doesn't want to be there. Fine, I already know what I want and just want to see how it displays in person. I ask to see the camera. The battery is dead and they can't plug it in because "unfortunately they don't allow cameras to be viewed before you buy one." ????? In what world can you not turn on a camera prior to purchasing it? This guy clearly just didn't want to work. Horrible team training, horrible staff, horrible scheduling, horrible store in general. Save yourself the hassle and just order from Amazon or somewhere else. It's no wonder that Best Buy's are closing down like crazy. This store needs new management and a staff overhaul.

HEY, ANGEL GONZALEZ AND BLAKE BARFIELD, WE GOT OUR MONEY BACK, DESPITE YOU GHOSTING US! Things that I would rather do before buying electronics from Best Buy or having Geek Squad or Magnolia to install them:- Have a colonoscopy awake- Go streaking down the Southwest Freeway during rush hour- Share an elevator with Harvey Weinstein- Ask Bill Cosby to watch my drink while I go to the ladies' room- Go hunting with Dick CheneyMy husband and I spent over $20,000 at this store to order two top-of-the-line TVs and several AV components, including installation to our existing home theater in-ceiling speakers. The centerpiece of our order was the 85" Samsung QLED, which--at the time of order--was over $7,000. Be careful with that thing, right? Our trouble started on their very first visit. They had shipped the TV to our home, then they hauled it up the stairs and unboxed it. Both top corners were out, internal display wrecked by handling damage. Weeks later, they came out to install the second TV that they had delivered to our house. They shipped it, they unboxed it, they hung it.They made so many calls out to our house before the second TV failed, changing settings here, replacing wires there. So many issues like the sources weren't switching, or there would be a picture lag, or the picture would outright go out for up to 30 seconds on any source. Just utter nonsense, and we would sometimes wait weeks for them to be able to come back out. Mind you this was football season, and we missed nearly the entire thing. We ordered the first TV back in September, and mid-January is where everything went really sideways. While watching a movie, we paused it and went to the kitchen, and when we came back, there was a bright white spot at the top edge of the screen--9 feet above the floor-- with a streak of pixels running vertically to the bottom edge of the picture. It looked like somebody had taken a hammer or a very strong thumb to that top edge, but we were the only ones in the house, and we are the only ones that live there. We don't have any friends that are 9' tall, either.Samsung was actually pretty nice, but they evaluated defect and determined that it was . . . handling damage, not covered by warranty. Best Buy were the ONLY ones who handled, unboxed and installed this TV. As predicted, they washed their hands of it, said that the replacement TV was well outside of the return window and that damage does not manifest later. The hell it doesn't. I used to assess the reliability of electronics after handling damage in a test lab, and I can assure you that the life of them is much reduced! It was at this point that Angel--the manager that we had been coordinating the install and service calls with-- brought in his manager, Blake, and Blake himself told us that that was handling damage. He just tried to insist they hadn't done it. Well, since my husband and I are not into parkour, trampolines or circus stilts, I'm pretty sure neither one of us accidentally fell into the top edge of a TV that is 9 ft off of the ground. If you've ever been ghosted by somebody you'd been talking to for months, that's what happened to us. After Blake told me over the phone that he would help us out in any way to substantiate our claims that it was damaged, he pretended he didn't do that. I have an email chain so long, it makes War and Peace look like light bathroom reading. (Get it in writing, yo.) I'm glad we had all that, because Card Services for Chase Bank agreed and refunded us every cent of the purchase price. This is America in 2023. Best Buy was trying to hang us with a $7K TV that didn't even last 90 days because someone squeezed the fack out of the edge when they were handling it. Not today, Satan. To add insult to injury, we were dealing with this mess for so long that the price of the TV dropped well under $5,000. But we got back every cent of our original purchase price. NEENER NEENER, ANGEL AND BLAKE.It took some searching, but we found the awesome TV Installation Houston. Their
