Gena was so very helpful. Our tour went well. She was very patient, showing us every reason why we plan to move to La Maison in the Spring. We had coffee from the coffee bar as we sat down to discuss the process.

La Maison at River Oaks looks promising from the outside, but once you move in there are glaring management and design issues that need to be dealt with. There are some good things, but its been mostly bad and frustrating.1. Design flaws1a. The showers were made to look cool, but without the door they splash water everywhere. We had to get a tension rod to put in a proper shower curtain. The rain shower head also sucks, you might want to replace this with your own shower head and a hose.1b. The fans have these wall controllers that use RF to control the light and fan speed. But the dummy who designed this place didn't realize the range of RF waves, meaning your neighbors can accidentally change your fan speeds and turn on your bedroom light at 3 AM. I've had to disconnect the light to prevent this problem. I've been told they plan on replacing the fans, but who knows when that'll happen.1c. The parking garage gate uses one of the apps to be opened. But you won't have cell service in the garage. So you have to time when you open it perfectly so you can make it before it closes, and sometimes it will close too fast and you'll miss it. Instead of providing clickers to fix this, management wants you to pay another $35 (one time fee) to get a sticker. The stickers ought to be free with the amenities fees we pay each month.1d. The package room is cool in concept, but the mail carriers (especially FedEx) don't care to actually put your packages in the system. You'll need staff to let you in on occasion to actually get your stuff. You also sometimes have to wait because packages will sometimes get delivered to the front office staff, but wont get put into the room until a day later. So you just end up waiting another day for your stuff.2. Management didn't have a mail key for us when we moved in. It took over a week for us to be able to get our mail. This wasn't exclusive to us either, we noticed other residents had the same issue.EDIT: Maintenance has been significantly better since we've moved in. We were able to get all our issues resolved and subsequent maintenance requests are handled much much faster. I appreciate that La Maison was able to get this handled. I'm changing my review from 2 to 4 stars.

La maison is amazing there’s so many amenities. It’s very clean. The management is extremely helpful, especially Rigo. He helps us all the time and makes sure that we continue to have a great experience here. Also, can’t beat the price for what you get in the location. Would highly recommend

Did not have an appointment the day of my tour but Adam was eager to assist with all my questions. The community is very pet friendly and the dog park was an eye catcher for me. Highly recommended!!!!!!

La Maison could have been a nice place. It's got a fountain, a couple pools, outdoor and indoor areas for cooking. But it suffers from a few fatal flaws that ruin everything. These are the following:* The floors and ceilings here are thin and have no noise isolation.* Management is apathetic to the concerns of the residents. They will pretend like your concerns mean something but ultimately either do nothing or have you waiting weeks to fix something. What this means is that if you have a noisy neighbor above or below you, your new home will quickly become a nightmare to live in. They have free range to be as absolutely terrible to you as they want, and no one will do anything about it. If you have a neighbor who happens to play the drums, or has a child who loves to run, you will hear no end to the noise. You will suffer until the end of your lease. You can complain as much as you want and call the night guard as much as you want, but ultimately no one is ever going to do anything.I used to think it was a nice place. But now I think it's terrible and am just waiting until the end of my lease to move somewhere else. I completely regret signing my lease here.

I’m looking to move close to the end of the year and not many apartments I’ve visited have my timeframe availability. So it can make looking for apartments exhausting but I can’t wait to call this place my home! I worked with Adam and he was so helpful with explaining the application process and painting a picture of my future apartment. The community is beautiful! I can’t wait to take my fur baby to that pet park! The staff in the office is very friendly and always eager to help!

Maddison and the dog park are the ONLY good things about this apartment complex and even the dog part smells like year old pee most days. I moved in in April and since then every week essentially something is broken. You pay almost $100 for a smart apartment for half of it not to work. The doors are supposed to be fobbed but they don’t even close fully most places so you can just walk in. The mailroom? A NIGHTMARE. Don’t bother paying for Amazon prime cause you’re not getting your package quick regardless. God forbid they try to deliver after the office closes (WHICH MOST SHIPPING COMPANIES DELIVER TILL AT LEAST 8) now your package is just sitting outside for the taking. they do mailroom audits all the time most times with no notice so you go down to get your package and can’t. Overall the mailroom situation will make you want to move by itself cause your packages will be held HOSTAGE then you have to enter into hostage negotiations just to get the leasing office to get YOUR package. The hallways aren’t well kept there’s a huge stain on the carpet as soon as you enter. The elevators half work and are always down plus they look like they’ve never been touched since the place was built. I don’t even bother putting in maintenance request anymore cause it’s going to take 6 weeks for it to get handled. There’s supposed to be security but it’s really just a golf cart parked out side cause I’ve seen a security guard actually watching the property once. This property needs a town hall we’re residents can address there issues cause lord there are so many and so many residents complaints. I can’t wait to move this place makes me so angry lol.

I moved in on May 22nd (currently August 18th). I still have service requests from the day I moved. I have either called or been down to the office in-person once a week asking what’s going on. They always have an excuse. In the beginning, they kept telling me that maintenance would be coming up “the next week.” Then it was “it’s the summer so they’re busy with the AC units.” Now they’re telling me how backed up the maintenance team is. The biggest issue from day 1 was all of the fans/lights turning on and off at random. Would go to bed with the fan on and wake up with the fan off and light on. Horrible issue. They didn’t fix it until living here for TWO AND HALF MONTHS. One of my other issues is that there is a painting the last tenant did on one of my bedroom walls. That was a day one service request. Never got the sense they would actually do it. Then about a month and a half later, I see that they have the man power to paint the entire hallway of the leasing office. I asked if that was an outside company or one of their guys, and they told me it was their guys. Really insulting to see that they can paint an entire hallway but not a single wall in my apartment that they should’ve taken care of before I ever moved in. I told them to give up on painting the wall because I’d like to finally hang stuff up after THREE MONTHS. The towel rack in the bathroom keeps coming off. They came up to “fix it” and it came off a couple days later. They still haven’t come back to fix it. There is a hole in the vent tube for the dryer. This causes water to build up in the dryer and the clothes to stay wet. They came up to fix it but said they didn’t have the right tools. They left to get them, but never came back. It still hasn’t been fixed. That was around July 1st. And now last night a smoke alarm started going off. Normally that’s not a big deal. Batteries start to die. That’s fine. But they replaced the battery to this smoke alarm only 2 months ago. So what, they gave me a dead battery? This is absolutely ridiculous. And when the maintenance guys actually come they don’t leave the apartment untouched. There is always damage. I was holding off on writing a review in hopes they would actually fix these issues, but it feels like they’re never going to. This is absolutely the worst maintenance staff in any apartment I’ve ever lived. Ridiculous and unacceptable.

Madison is the best part of this property, she made my move in process so easy and has been my go to person whenever I need something fixed. She’s made living here so easy and enjoyable!

(This review is coming from someone who IS NOT A RESIDENT).My partner and I visited La Maison River Oaks for an impromptu tour. We did not know we had to schedule an in-person tour beforehand, but Rigoberto Gonzalez was very accommodating and provided us with a ton of insight! He also displayed great knowledge of the community by answering all of our questions, providing his own insight and experiences, and walking us through all of the information he gave us. He seems like a great asset to the community and company and left us feeling very welcomed and optimistic!

I have lived here for two years and it gets more and more frustrating by the day. Every upgrade they have made has been a cheaper alternative than what was before. Meaning you will constantly be getting repairs. I have a back door gate and I submit a request to have it fixed at least once a month. I used to email the property manager with concerns however she doesn’t respond so I’ve given up. I have been locked out of my building because of the systems more times than I can count. I have gotten 25 fees for not breaking down a small size Amazon box. Also you will not be able to get your packages that are delivered on the weekend. Often the packages get lost in their room or broken into and stolen. Which won’t be communicated with you at all. I do not feel cared for as a resident at all. The dog park and location are amazing and that’s what keeps me here. But everyday I’m frustrated and that’s pretty much the same feeling everyone lives here has.

worst apartment hunting experience,Valerie Romero who attended me at the front desk was totally rude, racist and unfriendly, I didn't know if I was in a bad mood or she doesn't like her job, the treatment was totally disastrous, when I asked to speak to the manager she was eating her lunch at her desk, and she did not look for a solution, she just mocked, never move there or try to find an apartment there

I’ve been living at La Maison for about a year now and will be renewing. Best parts of living here is the location, dog park and Madison! Madison is always sweet. helpful and knowledgeable. There is also a great community of neighbors and lots of walkable places around. Highly recommend!

Just got back from a tour with Brandee and was floored by the space as well as the tour itself. I really appreciated how transparent she was about the units, the neighbors, and the neighborhood in general, it was refreshing after constantly being upsold to when apartment shopping. The units themselves are gorgeous and very high tech. As for the apartment complex, the French touches are beautiful. It’s a lovely gem in the heart of River Oaks that I hope to move into soon!
