I recently had the pleasure of working with Emma, a stylist at Knot Standard, for my first experience with a custom clothier. Emma was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process, offering expert advice on fitting, materials, and design options. She guided me seamlessly as I ordered a suit for a wedding in Napa and a quilted jacket for Park City. The results were outstanding—both pieces turned out even better than I could have imagined. Emma’s professionalism and attention to detail made this experience exceptional. I highly recommend her services for anyone seeking custom clothing.

This was my first custom clothing experience and I’m happy to report it was exceptional. I worked with Emma to find the perfect trousers for my body type and needs and then ordered a beautiful silk blouse to accompany them. I told her I wanted a polished pair of black trousers that could take me from business casual to a night at the theatre, in a fabric that would be good year round for Houston, and she delivered exactly that. I love the custom touches she suggested, my name embroidered in the trousers and my initials on the cuff of my beautiful blush blouse. I felt spoiled and yet was happy with the final cost of my custom items, I will be back for more pieces and highly recommend Knot Standard and Emma.

My fiance ordered a custom blazer to wear to our wedding. He asked for a modification which they promised they could make in time for the civil wedding. They said it will be done in two weeks. We never got any updates til we reached out to them ourselves four weeks later, only to find out that they are not able to fix his blazer in time for the wedding. Now my fiance is sad and this dampened our wedding weekend. It was $1600 for this blazer--you would think they would get it right.
They then offered to give us credit for the blazer. Let me repeat that my fiance will not have a blazer to wear for our WEDDING. We do not want credit. That's an embarrassing offer of an apology, and honestly they can't fix things because they didn't do the reasonable thing of letting us know beforehand that they can't do the job and we are now out of time.
So my fiance requested a refund and they said they will refund him. That again doesn't fix things because he is unable to wear his blazer for our wedding day. We don't want a refund. We paid a premium because we didn't want to deal with this low class incompetence. But here we are.
EDITED TO ADD: We came in and they tried to give us the blazer that we said we don't want, and they still had not refunded us at that point. VERY SNEAKY, trying to sell us an item we specified we don't like and hoping we will settle because it is too late? We talked to the manager and looked for the lady who helped us. They kept saying she was "not here today" but she magically reappeared when she heard us talking to the manager. The manager said she will make things right. Suddenly, a blazer that they couldn't fix in four weeks was fixed in a few hours. The manager then called my fiance's cellphone and requested that I remove this review.
This whole experience was pretty trashy, and caused some drama and stress that we did not need on our wedding weekend. I am trying to figure out how I can do 50 things before the wedding and now we have to figure out what pants match his blazer in 24 hours when our schedule is packed. They were not even the least bit apologetic for this mess they caused.
I recommend going to a different custom suit maker, especially if you're getting married and want a nice suit. I suggested this place to my fiance and now he's sad and I feel like I contributed to it. Embarrassing.

My now husband and I worked with Emma to design my husbands tux for our wedding. She was INCREDIBLE to work with and so communicative from start to finish! Her and Saad, their tailor, ensured the fit was exceptional and were extremely detail oriented. I even brought in my own garments to Saad for various wedding events to be altered. He is amazing at what he does and his prices are very reasonable for his expertise! My husband continues to see Emma for custom work clothing and suits and she does an impeccable job of helping his vision come to life every time! We can’t recommend the knot standard, Emma, and Saad enough!!!

Allison was absolutely amazing! She has an amazing eye for design and made my experience so enjoyable. I had a custom suit made for a wedding I was officiating. I decided to book an appointment with Allison after we had a custom suit made for my wife for our our wedding! We both continually get compliments on our suits and have been able to wear them even after the special occasions they were made for!

I got introduced to Allison and Knot Standard by a CEO pal who gets his sport coats and slacks there. So I tried it out and have been back four more times. Three nice looking jackets and three business pants (the non wrinkle travel kind). Plus a nice all weather coat for the damp fall and winter months It's great to have clothes that fit right and look great. And Allison makes damn sure you look great in her fabrics! All measurements are on file so you can order more on the phone (unless you change sizes...), but the office is a nice friendly place in mid-town too.

Allison is fantastic at what she does. She’s a great communicator and keeps you updated throughout the process, always making you feel like you’re a valued client. For someone like me, all of the fabric and pattern options can be overwhelming. Allison, just by asking a few questions, is able to narrow down to a few recommendations and takes feedback very well. I’ve enjoyed all of her recommendations so far. Even if you’re not completely sure what you’re looking for, I highly recommend you go in and give it a shot.
