John picked a puppy that will be trained to be a service dog for my daughter with several disabilities. It's only been a few weeks, but the puppy seems to be very eager to please and learn new things. Definitely a positive experience, even from about as far away in Texas as one can be from the Houston area!

10000/10 recommend!! I can’t express enough gratitude for this amazing breeder!! My puppy came home to me 2 weeks ago today to be trained to be a service dog~ he just turned 5 months old, and with me 2 weeks, and is already showing signs of natural alerts and responding to my medical episodes perfectly!! My entire family and I are so beyond thankful for my precious Pluto, this breeder is AMAZING!!! If you are looking for a service dog look no further than Hunters Creek Retrievers!!! Mr. John is so amazing, he spoke with me as well as my parents and matched me with the absolutely perfect puppy!!!

We are happy with the puppy we receive from Mr. John Tate. She is everything we asked for. Our puppy is calm, sweet, and joyful. Mr. Tate did a follow-up call with us a few days after we received her to see how we were all adjusting. He also gave us additional tips to help us with the puppy's health and training. We are delighted with our new family member!

My daughter struggles with medical ptsd, I reached out to John at hunter creek and told him our story and he was so companionate and caring about finding the perfect dog for her and he did! The bond between my daughter and her new service dog is beautiful and amazing. He is well trained and we are so thankful for John and scout! Highly recommend!!!

The owner of Hunters Creek Retrievers was trying to purchase fencing from me. He was the biggest nightmare. Stood me up twice for a meet up to pick up the items and then thought it was funny he didn't show up. Would text me hours after he was supposed to be there. Finally acted like he felt a little bad when I informed him that my elderly mother was in town visiting and he had to make her wait as well. Then to top off his crassness, he low balled me after all that. Would never consider taking my dogs here if this is the way he treats people.

I got my male black lab puppy (Apollo) from Hunters Creek Retrievers, and utilized the puppy Head Start program. I could not be happier with Apollo, and was extremely impressed with how well he behaved immediately after being picked up. He slept in my bed the first night with no accidents, and has not had one since. The lab puppies from Hunters Creek Retrievers are amazing dogs, and I highly recommend the Head Start program.

I was looking for a lab that I could train to be a service dog and John helped me find my perfect dog. He guided me to pick what dog would best fit my personality and helped me with any questions regarding my dog, training, or anything else I had to ask. I’ve had my dog for 8 months now and he is very well behaved service dog and my dog & I have a very strong bond. I highly recommend John !

In November, 2021 we got our “Daisy” from Hunters Creek Retrievers and she is absolutely the best dog. The Puppy Head Start Program was a blessing for both Daisy and my family. We would highly recommend getting a Labrador Puppy from Hunters Creek Retrievers.

The first day we brought our puppy home , he was walking with us on heel. Thanks to Johns great training through Puppy Head Start Training, The Puppy Head Start Training has helped both our puppy and us make am easy transition to our home.
