I went with my husband to do his taxes with Lata Dave. I’m used to the standard fee of $89 plus $39 for the fee to come out of the return. The fee said $134 which did not add up. I asked what the fee consisted of since the math wasn’t adding up. She assured me it was the $89 + $39. I told her that didn’t make sense. She looked at the breakdown of the fees & sure enough it was a fee for $45, which we later found out was for my husband starting a new job & earning low income. However, when I asked what the $45 was for she said “Whatever the fee is don’t worry about it just pay for it” which is a ridiculous thing to say to anybody in any situation. This was my first time at this location & I will not be coming back. They hire people who are inexperienced in something that is really important.

Lata Dave at the Tomball Pkwy location in Houston is always so friendly and knowledgeable. She gets me taken care of quickly in office and helps me get the most out of my return. I highly recommend this location.

I'm undecided. I feel like H&R isn't looking for the best tax outcomes for my family. They are very on the surface and does not like to dig deeper. Especially concerning more complex taxes. Also some of the tax specialists are rude and treat the customer as if the customer should be honored to work with them
