Ray and Patti were amazing! I'm a new roller skater, and they were still knowledgeable despite it not being their primary specialization. They confirmed that my current skates are a half size too large, then suggested an orthotic insert to help manage the issue and hopefully prolong the use out of the skates. They also took the time to let me try on properly fitting skates and test out the inserts for any discomfort/adjustments before leaving. I really appreciated their time and attention, despite it being a busy afternoon in their shop. Thanks again and I hope to be back when it's time to upgrade!

I've been at Houston Skate 5 times and each time they have went out of their way to take care of me, educate me on skating and really make sure I'm satisfied before leaving. There's a reason why people even come from outside of Houston to service and get fitted for skates. I roller and figure skate and decided to look into getting Jackson boots for my rollerskates. Ray took the time to help me decide over the phone then spent more time with me in the store to make sure I had a comfortable fit. He also went out of his to make sure I was satisfied with the plate mounting. I'm so happy with my skates and time spent with them. I could literally sleep in my Jackson Freestyles.

I stop by to get my skates sharpened whenever I’m in town. They are the only ones that I trust with my blades. Always a very pleasant experience!

Wonderful place that has everything an ice skater would need, at a very reasonable price.Both of my daughters got their skates there, all of the staff are super friendly and patient. They made sure the skates fit perfectly and would make adjustments if needed.

I have a new pair of skates that fits my feet! I have had trouble with skates causing pain on my ankle bones in the past, but my new skates are very comfortable, and my ankles feel great. I am so happy! I will return when I need a new pair of skates.

Patti is an expert! Just trust her, she knows what she is doing. I came from Dallas to get new ice skates after years of wearing skates that gave me lots of pain, in which she had the solution for. Spent roughly 3 hours there, but every minute was worth it!Edit: Do yourself a favor and don’t give away what your budget for your skates are.

I’ve heard many, many times that Patti’s is where you go when you need the best and most thorough advice about your or your young aspiring skater’s fittings. Patti has a wealth of knowledge about the sport of figure skating and general body dynamics (youth to adult) applicable to any sport, and she shares it with us at every visit. Amazing resource to us and the sports community in Houston.Plus, there are experienced skaters that she can talk to about everything (Katie :), as my daughter likes to remind me!

The service was really great! The only thing they need to do is let people know beforehand that $85 dollars will be charged if you don't buy anything. They should either put it on the website or put it when you are making the appointment.

Patty set me up with new skates, boots, and insoles for both my shoes and skates. She explained how my boots were supposed to fit and how I should be bending and skating in them as well. So happy to have skates that actually fit well and won't hurt my feet anymore ! I will most likely stick with this shop for the rest of my skating career :>.
