Really great place. Had a tear in the leather of some expensive Allen Edmonds that I thought I would have to replace. Turns out $40 and 4 days at this place and they were perfect to wear back at the office.

Something seems to be missing...I find it difficult, however, to put my finger on it. The Houston Shoe Hospital gets the job done, period, but that's where the buck stops. The employees are nice, but they do not go the extra mile. We will start with the discount that is offered via email. First off, $5 only covers what they would charge you in taxes. It doesn't really feel like I'm saving anything. Secondly, the email is hit or miss. Sometimes I get them, sometimes I don't. Moving on to their level of work: it is amazing. I fall in love with my shoes every time I get them back, but then there are times like the following example: I was notified that my shoes were ready for pick up. I then drive up to the store only to find out that the work is incomplete. On one occasion, I was missing heel savers. And, just today, after two weeks of waiting, I go to pick up my shoes, but they have no sole protectors. They are consistently inconsistent, if that makes sense. A simple QA inspection prior to emailing or calling the customer is simple enough to do. It just isn't happening. I drop off my shoes here religiously. A rewards program would be nice. I just don't feel like my business is appreciated and it would not be missed if I went elsewhere.**update** It happened again. Was told to return Friday to pick up my shoes and they were nowhere to be found. The apologetic gentleman at the front could not even locate the box. He had to check on his tablet and that's when he discovered that my shoes weren't even at the store.

Houston Shoe Hospital does excellent work, very well established company, well organized & professional, warm & friendly atmosphere, feels like the mom & pop business of the olden days!

Houston Shoe Hospital did a good job of cleaning the shoes, with some exceptions, but there was some glue left on a part of one of my shoes that hindered the overall quality of the work.

The place feels like a throwback to the 90s. Ive seen their work and is often recommended from people I know which is why I came in looking for help with my leather jacket. I personally don't know much about leather and was curious about how I would lessen the look of my scratches ( now I know its not possible from they said).I was greeted with disdainful attitude about my concerns or questions that I had (didn't give much help). They have a terrible way of showing it. I am never coming back, nor would I recommend anyone to come here.

Houston Shoe Hospital did a great job on my shoes. The polish and conditioner on my alligator loafers made them shine like new money. They almost look brand new I really don't want to wear them now because they look so good. Heal saver on my new suede shoes were a must. Thank you cobblers

The craftsmanship is terrible. I paid $70 for them to fix the straps of two bags. The stitching is extremely messy, especially for the price, and they refused to fix it when I asked them to.

After being a loyal customer for decades I felt the need to write this review. This is not the first occurrence, this is the second. Don’t call this location and expect any help over the phone. They are an in person service provider! I called to check the status of a shoe that had been in well over a month. Might I add that the shoe was ready for pick up and I was not informed, however the gentleman (Oscar) was In Such a rush to get me off the phone that as I’m asking the questions he’s answering them for me. Not once did he ask for my ticket number or phone number which are two different forms of identification for merchandise look up. Don’t get me wrong their work is very good, it’s just the customer service aspect that I have a problem with. Especially being a long time customer!

I had capped replaced on a pair of my pumps and when I picked them up I noticed some of the color was missing from the heel. I made the gentleman aware of it that waited on me and he asked me to leave it and he would send them back so they could touch up the color at no charge but I refused because I would have to make another trip to pick them up. He went above and beyond the services, he told me to bring them back at any time and he would repair them. I didn't get his name but I appreciate his customer service because it's hard to find these days. Lee

I went to the heights area location terrible experience. They didn't call me to tell my my purse was ready for pick up and when I called they couldn't locate my bag. The cleaning was not gray at all.
