Mark is always there with knowledge of some unique inventory you won't find elsewhere and Ryan is always kindly informing you of what will be the best deal for gold and silver as well as being welcoming to both the seasoned veteran and the neophyte alike

Wonderful, family-owned firm!We love going into Houston Numismatic Exchange. They are always friendly and so helpful! Whether you are looking for rare coins or want to learn about precious metals to diversify investments, this is the best shop in Houston for precious metals. Mr. Harris and Mark are so knowledgeable and always ready to answer all customer questions. They always have an off-duty police officer in the shop for security, which is so helpful.FYI, they also have vintage and antique jewelry for those who don’t want the same-old-same-old engagement ring from chain jewelry stores. And, if you are an avid vintage baseball card collector, this is an under-the-radar great collector’s spot!!Go down to Rice Village and speak with these wonderful gentlemen.

The men were very helpful and friendly. I am trying to learn about coin and metal collection and don't know much about it thus far. They walked me through what I was interested in. I'll definitely return and would recommend them to friends.

I'd been going to Houston Gold & Silver (it's closest to my house) until I heard about this place. Wonderful place, fantastic atmosphere, outstanding selection, knowledgeable staff, best prices. After my trip there today, I will never go anywhere else if I can help it. Thanks for making my day fun and informative.

This is a sneaky good place for older baseball cards. Called them a couple of days before Christmas looking for a specific player and they had what I was looking for. They were friendly and knowledgeable, and the cards they had were reasonably priced. Obviously if you're into coins and watches they have a good selection. A good experience, and I will reach out to them again.

I have been doing business with HNE for over 40 years. They are professional, courteous and knowledgeable. Wonderful people to work with. Collectibles, bullion, jewelry, watches, the staff is simply outstanding. The founder, Pat Johnson, would be proud of how his legacy has been carried forward since 1965.

I've dealt with this family for over 25 years. They are at the top when it comes to dealing in the coin / precious metals business. They are always busy and if they are short with you on the phone, that is because they are busy dealing with customers in the store. I've referred many friends there as well. I highly recommend them.

Have visited this store a few times in the past. They have always had a great selection and were very friendly. But today I had a terrible shopping experience.And it was because of the bald gentleman that was working the counter. Yes, the very same bald guy that MANY of the bad reviews speak of. I did not catch his name.I do not think I can recall a more miserable human being. This is a terrible shame because I really like the store. Many neat coins and artifacts. And good prices.But this man and his attitude, is the reason I left and will not ever be returning.I have read some of the other reviews speaking how bad he was to customers and I have to say he treated me with the same rudeness, shortness and general disdain.He seemed to be annoyed at any question. Even when you are asking prices. There are many items with no price, so if one was interested in an item. You have to ask the price. He was not happy to answer any questions period. He would constantly sigh and get agitated if you asked to actually hold something.After reading other reviews speaking about this same experience, I am completely amazed that this man is STILL working in sales.I would NEVER have anyone who treated customers this way work for me, especially on the sales counter.

Overpriced and very limited selection. Your paying for the overhead of a brick and mortar store. Prices and selection simply cannot compete with larger online retailers.
