I don’t think anyone in their right mind would want to rent and live on this property. The website and the pictures and even the initial first contact and touring the property was very very promising. I really pictured myself living on this property. Doing renovations and upgrades that they had shown an advertised was a real deal sealer. Are usually posted my deposit and my application fees and waited and once I was finally approved for an apartment they said that the unit I wanted would be available in the middle of July. The only thing I needed to have done prior to move in was having the electricity transferred to my name which I couldn’t do. Centerpoint energy had a hold on the unit. They locked the meter box and I couldn’t set up an account so when I came in to move in on the day that they told me, they told me that my unit wasn’t available because there was no electricity. I informed the leasing manager that I was already staying in a hotel because the apartment was not available on the day that they said it was going to be and I couldn’t afford another two or three days or however, long it was going to take to have the unit ready. Ada, the leasing manger, since the power was just getting on my unit that there would be a longer delay, and I told her that that was not acceptable. It is not my fault that the unit’s previous tenants Pay their light bill.I was stuck in a very difficult spot either spending seven more days in a hotel or taking the unit that she did have available, which was almost $300 more a month Instead. I believe that that’s her was her plan the entire time that was actually the unit she had intended for me. It was a very stressful afternoon because of her. Her customer service was horrible and she blame me for not being able to keep my cool. The maintenance sucks. It almost took two months to get a washer switched out so that I could use it. There are cockroaches everywhere no matter what I do no matter how much they spray I pay their fees for spraying there everywhere. In the month of December I had some difficulties because there was a delay in my paycheck and also because of clerical error there was an error in my paycheck amount and so I was not able to pay my full amount with fees, I could pay the rent and I sent it and she said that that was no that was not acceptable, this time she wouldn’t take my rent without the back up fees. I guess that I had paid. She made me feel like a criminal like I had broke a law. It was absolutely unnecessary the way she talked to me.It was that moment today I decided when my renewal comes up in July I will not be renewing with this property. I turned down four other wonderful properties so that I can live at this one and it was one of the largest regrets of my residential experience in Houston, don’t rent here.

This is a horrible place. All during the summer the ac does not work and in the winter the heat does not work. The price your paying for rent is so high for you not to get ac or heat. Do not rent from these people. Management is very rude once you sign the lease. They know your stuck

I have lived at Hollister Place Apartments for a few years now and it’s nice community to live at…They provide a safe living area with affordable apartment, unlike other apartments in the area Hollister stays pretty competitive with other apartments around, more so because i have lived here and they make me feel safe..As far as submitting work request is awesome they try to get to everyone as fast as possible but i also understand that emergency’s happen and have to be dealt with, other then that they do get to you as fast as possible.. I love living here its been a safe living experience at Hollister Place..

For one security! There is always something going on! Gates always breaking down! No cameras work according to office. Theft! Yes tires being carried out like nothing and your car left on bricks! Car break ins! There is always “new” management and they never have anything in order. Any questions and they get passive aggressive like they hate their jobs! Where is the pest control? You pay money for security and pest control you won’t see it! Roach infested apartments! Also if you live in the back side! Let me tell you! You’re their least of their worries! It’s all about the looks and presentation the “future residents” will see. Avoid these apartments at all cost!

I wish I didn't renew this year. The last few months I've seen more ppl move in, and I can't even walk my dog without walking into broken glass and the strong smell of WEED. It's so dangerous & disgusting. Even my upstairs neighbors chain smoking & its coming into my home and all my rooms. My closet even smell like weed, and now my clothes has a lingering smell. I can't wait to get out of here.

My review is based on the experience I had with the leasing agent on 8/9/2023 and property care. My car was stolen from the property on 7/9. When I went to check to see if there was any camera footage I was told they could not access it due to it being under the old management name and that they were working on it. I was also told that we did not have night security during that time as they were waiting for the new company contract to start. We were not informed of either one of these issues/changes. I went today for a follow up on that and the leasing agent I encountered was immediately rude. I stated why I was there and asked questions regarding that and I immediately got attitude from her. Every answer she gave me contradicted with what the manager told me when we spoke. She then accused me of recording her and with the way she was talking to me I wish I did record. I’ve already reached out to Disrupt Management regarding this issue. Now on to the issues with the property itself. Its almost a year since I’ve been here and it’s not the worst but it’s not the best. I submitted 3 work requests same day and asked that they enter on days that I’m home since they would be in multiple areas of my apartment and I didn’t feel comfortable with strange men being in there when I’m gone. Instead I got a note on the door saying they tried to access the apt but it was locked from the inside, I even gave the my number to contact me, nobody tried/knocked as I waited all day for them and they marked all 3 completed. Nothing is ever operating or open on the property. (Pool, gym, gate). Also note that they use one gate code for everyone, even if you no longer live there you have access to the property cause the gate code don’t change. We have pest issues cause ppl are allowed to sit their trash out for days at a time. And they only come out when you request them to but you still have to pay for it monthly. There’s a whole mattress in the breezeway of my apt that’s been there about a month. You always see trash/furniture thrown all around both dumpsters and it’ll be there for a sec before it’s picked through/taken away. You smell dog poop cause residents leave it on the balconies for days. The internet that you have to get cause it’s been included in your rent is iffy and goes down frequently. Overall it’s not the worse place I lived in. If you have time/money to, I would recommend you continue looking for a different complex but if not and you can deal with paying for amenities that aren’t available then go for it.
