Water pressure non existent, could not get a good shower. WiFi did not work. The room had cheap pillows and bottles/bar soap. Not like most holiday inn express locations. All I want is a good shower and comfortable bed and got neither.
Rooms: No water pressure for shower.

Waited about 10 minutes for an employee to make an appearance at the front desk so I could check in. Then I am given a key to a room different from what I booked, which also had a AC unit full of mold. I’m giving two stars instead of one because that employee was nice enough to let me switch rooms and the second one was better. I honestly feel bad for employee because I think that the management is poor and the hotel is probably understaffed and neglected. There was also a lot of air in the waterlines for some reason. Not a huge deal, but it was startling when it made loud noises when running the shower, flushing, the toilet, and turning on the sink.

Sooo I wanna start this off by saying there is this Hispanic Guy working in the front desk, I didn’t get his name but he’s really sweet,But we had a okay time at this hotel,The water had left but it came back in 1-2 Hours. The rooms are not That bad but I had stayed at a room and the lights didn’t work and there was peeling paint. I booked this Hotel because we didn’t have another option.I don’t think I’m comming back.

On Sept 4, 2024. I had mistakenly booked this hotel for the wrong date with Priceline. I called 6 hours after realizing this mistake. Mind you, the booking said it was cancellable. To my dismay this hotel and Priceline concocted ways to keep my money. I reached out to both. Priceline insisted it was on the hotel digression to return my money. Here is my take. Never use this third party booking sites. The fact they could have offered me a partial refund, which they knew but hide from me is perplexing. They avoid federal regulation. Off course this hotel has bad policies that will hurt their business. I have put them up on social media in the housing area. Perhaps the money they kept is better than the publicity they will receive.
I see why people don’t play with these hotels after getting poor services.
To add injury to salt, i reached out and went to the site saw few cars with broken windows. Their patrons had their cars broken into. The hotel is bad for business. Be aware that the location of this hotel is not good for your visit. Find holiday inn near the westheimer and Sam Houston area.

The hotel was quiet. The location was convenient to what I needed but a bit of a hassle to get to HOWEVER the morning staff was not customer service driven at all. They would knock and immediately come into the room/attempt to open door. There was no breakfast 1 morning with no warning nor alternative, no explanation. The elevators were out the day I left, my daughter had to pack our belongings down 4 flights of stairs in 100 weather several times...not their fault but didn't tell us anything nor offer any assistance. I called 6 times to the front desk for an issue, left on hold 2 times...once for 10mins and the other 6 mins...neither time did they come back to phone. I go to front desk in person and there are no customers being helped...unprofessional!

My employees stayed at this hotel last night and woke up to bed bugs in their beds. Terrible. I have called the hotel manager but I have not received a call back.

Worst Holiday Inn Express experience I have EVER had.
Defective plumbing in both the bathroom and foyer restroom.
Non-functional elevators.
Non-functional telephone.
Non-functional guest computers.
Air Conditioning flooding foyer seating area.
No hot breakfast service as staff did not turn up.
If I had waited around till 1200 I might have been able to speak to a manager but ihad business to get sorted so did not wait. Will not be staying here again, EVER.

DON’T DO IT!
If I could leave this review with zero stars I would. Because 1 star is even to much for this place.
I would NOT recommend staying here. When we first arrived the parking lot was full of trash and all the workers were at the front door smoking. Strike one!
We arrived to check in and as soon as you walked in it smelt like cigarettes and mold. And there was stains on all the furniture in the lobby and on the walls. Strike two! There was also a sign as soon as you walked in that said “please remove your shoes” of course we didn’t. The lady at the front desk was EXTREMELY rude. Strike three! She informed us that we had to pay $100 during check in and we asked why, because our hotel had already been paid in full. She stated that it was the policy and we would get it back once we checked out. I asked for a receipt. She stated she couldn’t give us one. Strike four! We went to our room and as soon as you walked in the carpets where dirty, the bed spread had stains on it, the bathroom has hair on the floor, and it smelt like mold. That was strike five! The final straw. Hotels aren’t cheap, and I refuse to pay $400+ and sleep in a dirty hotel. I jumped on the phone with Hilton and had us a room booked within minutes. We went downstairs to check out and receive a refund. The guest that where checking in before us, where asking for a different room because their room was dirty as well. When we approached the desk she said “room not good?” I told her no and that I wanted to check out and get a refund. She checked us out and stated we couldn’t get a refund because it was non refundable. Which, was not stated when booking! I again, asked for a receipt. She stated she could not give me one because they no longer do that. I told her I wanted her name and the hotel phone number. She refused her name and laughed while saying “The phone doesn’t work. But here’s the number”.
Once we got in the car I started calling Holiday Inn. Of course, no answer. I reached out to the corporate office. They stated they would work on a refund and contacting the Hotel as well. That was a week ago. The hotel is still not answering. Corporate is refusing the refund. Stating “They can not verify that we did not stay there. Because the hotel isn’t answering.” I stated that I told them that to begin with. They asked if I had proof of checking out on the same day, I then reminded them that the lady refused a receipt.
All in all..take the extra few minutes and stay in the Hilton at the Med center. It’s a little more but it is SOOO worth it!
I will NEVER stay in another Holiday Inn again. I don’t care if I have to sleep in my vehicle. It will not happen.
Also to add..after we checked out and arrived at our new hotel. We started getting calls from a Texas number. We don’t know anyone from Texas. They wouldn’t say anything. And when I called back they would say “ohh I dial wrong number” I can’t say for sure that it’s related to this, but it’s just weird that it happen.

This has to be the worst hotel I’ve stayed in so far. WiFi didn’t work, breakfast (I know I know) was terrible the pancake machine doesn’t work no surprise there and their juice machine is “broken”. Terrible management I’d avoid this hotel ?
