Drove 3.5 hours to get here because my daughter had major surgery scheduled for the following morning. We arrived after check-in time started and still our room was not ready. They did provide us with another room, but things just got worse from there. The room was warm, the toilet ran all night, and it sounded like our neighbors were having a party next door. The rap music coming through the wall was so loud that we called the front desk. After the second time we called down, they turned the music up. The music was finally turned down after the third call, but remained where we could hear it through the wall until about 3 am. We had to wake up at 4:30am to get up and out for my daughter's surgery. While this was not a great experience by any means, the manager did reach out via phone later in the day while we were on the long drive back home following the surgery. She was apologetic and seemed genuinely concerned about our experience with the hotel. Her efforts went a long way to potentially keeping us as future guests of the hotel.

The staff didn't have the rooms available that I booked, even after being charged extra for an adjoining room. Two different staff, including the manager, argued with me over the room issue. They failed to inform me until AFTER check-in that the shuttle would not be available for our requested time, which was part of the reason for choosing this hotel. The only thing manager offered was breakfast, which we couldn't use due to early departure before breakfast was even served, which i told her as much. I could continue, but I don't see a point past this. I will never return.

Update: I really wanted to like this place because first impression was great but service was not helpful and kept saying they'd speak to management but no resolution is being made. Now the water doesn't work/toilet isn't flushing. Will need to relocate - needed to call corporate despite paying $200+ per night. Would not recommend.
Edit: had to remove a star as AC stopped working in all rooms. Staff said nothing they could do, offered no money back/ way to make it right. Expected more when issues occur from a large corporate hotel chain and for the cost.
First impression: Our room was much nicer than we had anticipated. Very spacious, even has 1.5 baths! Very convenient location, lots of things like coffee, pharmacies are within walking distance.

Is this really Hilton? Old room, you can hear the room next to you so easy , the double bed room bed was like a bed for small kid size wise. The $20 parking ticket is ridiculous, do not recommend this place .

Excellent location for access to the Medical Center and next door to Rice University in a quiet residential area. Modern and updated. Walking distance to great food options for quick lunch or dinner. Hotel lobby is fully equipped with a lovely cafe and helpful staff. Rooftop view on 9th floor is serene as well. Good for solo travelers and families.

+ nice clean room but worn out
- didn’t know their clock was set to go off at 6 am! :)
- no microwave!! We asked before booking for a microwave and was promised. We needed to warm up milk at 3 am and just realized they didn’t have a microwave in the room, we called early morning as we were promised and was told they will get it to us, nobody went to our room. Called again and was told will check on it.—- nope nothing— they couldn’t just tell we don’t have it and we can’t get it to you. I have a toddler and I have to take him with me from the 17 flr to find a microwave to warm up milk. Big inconvenience.
- No laundry bag
-toilet clogged- had to flush 3-4 times!!
- shower handle needs fixing

We were able to sit back, relax, and enjoy our weekend thanks to Howard at the pool side bar. He is very knowledgeable about the area, and suggested many things to see and do.
Walkability: Within 1-2 blocks of food and 10 mins from attractions.

My stay here would have not been perfect if it wasn’t for Mrs. Beatriz!! Mrs. Beatriz went above and beyond to ensure I was taken care of. From the moment I came in I was greeted and she was very knowledgeable about the property and what there was around the area. I will definitely come back, hope to see Mrs. Beatriz again. ?

Today, I spoke with the General Manager of Hilton Houston Medical (Michael Valore) due to an issue involving my room. Mr. Valore's professionalism and concerns for his guest/patrons at this particular location were heart felt. Mr. Valore assured me and my family that the issues would be resolved and, in fact, has taken these rooms out of service to guests. The Hilton Houston Medical will go under renovation. I'm sure it will be its best, and I can't wait to revisit again. The area is really convenient to downtown Houston and its gorgeous cityscape. Please keep this location for easy commutes if you're in town. Just be patient as they are in renovation planning and stages. I have removed the lower rating to a higher rating as well as photo removal due to Mr. Valore's attention and concern. I will be glad to 5 star this location upon the next visit.

The pool area has amazing vibes, great place to chill and relax on a hot day.
The bartender and staff were very helpful. The management staff was amazing too.
A company called Hargrett Electronics LLC did the speakers system there and it sounds amazing.

I recently had surgery at a nearby hospital and planned to stay at the Hilton Hotel for recovery. Unfortunately, upon arrival, I discovered that all services were unavailable due to an employee strike affecting all Hilton properties. After my successful surgery, I waited over an hour for the hotel shuttle, which never arrived. Each call to the hotel provided a different excuse. Eventually, I opted for a Lyft, which was efficient and timely. Ironically, the shuttle arrived just as my Lyft did.
The Hilton shuttle driver, who claimed to know the owner and had been with the hotel for 20 years, attempted to discuss union issues with me. As a retired union firefighter, I understand the complexities of union matters, but this was not the time or place. I was recovering from heart surgery and needed reliable transportation, not a union debate.
In the end, Lyft got me back to the hotel, where I decided to switch to a competitor. I had a restful night and a smooth drive home the next day. This experience was not about union issues but about the lack of personal care and service. I hope Hilton addresses these concerns to prevent future inconveniences for other guests.
Summary: This employee should have been walking the picket line and not scabbing out and butchering their product!
Their response fact check: Yes, there is currently a union strike involving workers at various Hilton hotels and other major hotel chains like Hyatt, Marriott, and Omni. Around 15,000 workers are striking for higher wages, better workloads, and a return to pre-pandemic staffing levels.

Opted to stay here last minute since I had been in that area all day. It was long day so i just decided to relax on the rooftop by the pool/bar and it was amazing. The weather, the views, the service. Phenomenal. The bartender, Howard, provided excellent and timely service all night even though he had many guests to serve by himself. Will definitely be coming back when I’m in the area again.
