I purchased my first home with highland homes and i went with their lending company due to lack of knowledge and experience. The one assisting us with our loan was RENE ALVAREZ. We had the worst time with him during that stressful process. He explained very little to us and provided the bare minimum amount of assistance. He always brought up fixable circumstances at the last minute and we always ended up scrambling in a panic. It was almost as if he did not want us to get approved. Although, I am happy with the home itself. I made the mistake of recommending my friends to their lender thinking they would not end up with him but now they are having the exact same problems because they ended up with RENE ALVAREZ. He has zero customer service and always gives them a hard time. He reports fixable circumstances to them at the very last minute. My friends are coming from out of state and he does not take that into consideration when tells them his last minute requirements. My friends are very kind people and they do not have experience with real estate. I feel like they are being taken advantage of. They told me that he treats them as if he does not want the to get approved which is exactly the same way we felt working with him. Is there someone i can report this to?

We had a great experience (for the second time) working with Highland Home Loans. We worked with Amanda LeBoeuf (for the second time) who was so easy to work with. She kept us informed with changes to rates and process, answered our many questions quickly. She is very genuine with her desire to help, which isn't easy to find. We selected HHL over a couple other lenders - rates were very competitive and service was top notch.

Our Highland Home build process was extremely smooth. From the very start with our sales representative to the loan representatives we couldn’t have asked for a better experience and team to work with. Amanda LeBoeuf’s communication and customer service was top notch. We never had to ask her where we were at in the process or to be concerned about anything and was always quick to respond and explain in detail for any question we had.

Amanda and her team were amazing. We are first time home buyers , relocating from MD. They assisted us every step of the way. If we had any questions they would have an answer for us within a couple of hours . They all were very professional and a joy to work with. We had an issue with one house, the house came in under VA appraisal. Amanda worked with us in finding another home that we love. Ananda and her time would call us with updates with the loan process. They made our first time buying a home a smooth process.

Had a totally great experience with Highland Homes. My home was built quickly, but not at the cost of quality. Also priced just right. My new home is beautiful. I would like to recognize Matt, Magdalena, Colin, Amanda, Karen and Rabeea. The "team" worked extremely well together and brought my dream home into fruition. They were professional, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. All in all this was a wonderful experience and I would recommend Highland Homes to all of my friends and family.
