I was charged for pre paid fuel that I told the guy no to. I returned the car full and when I got my emailed receipt, here comes the charges. The. You can’t call anyone to complain too. The local off never answers the phone and to complain to customer service you have to do it online only

When I arrived at the desk I was told I had rented an electric vehicle which was a little surprising because I am not familiar with operating electric vehicles. So my daily rental fee was increased by 10 dollars a day to 44 dollars per day for a lurching Chevy Malibu. I voiced my concerns all the way up the chain to Hertz customer service and was shrugged off. I’ve been a gold member for years but will never rent from Hertz again.

Huge kudos to the staff for finding the backpack we left in our rental, and then sending it with the next shuttle going to the airport. Saved us tons of time, headache, and potentially lost belongings.

PLEASE READ Receipt before leaving the building. I made a prepaid reservation. I arrived and the process was pretty fast. No wait time. Nothing came on the keypad and the attendant didn’t mention any additional charges. Walked me out, handed me the incomplete receipt and pointed me in the direction of a vehicle. While I was asking other questions another customer came out and got the last vehicle size I rented. I was told to get another vehicle which was larger. I noticed when I returned the vehicle that an upgrade was assessed. I was not asked to upgrade and I shouldn’t be charged when my vehicle size rented was no longer available. I called and charge was refunded so I gave stars

The woman who helped me refused to honor my prepaid reservation and required me to call Hertz. After 45 minutes on hold she was then somehow able to proceed reservation and added a damage waiver I verbally declined. Hertz customer service has been slow and unhelpful in resolving this issue, I would not recommend renting from this company.Edit: For anyone who thinks their response is helpful, the link pasted is broken and there is no way to reach support besides the survey (nobody calls you back) or calling in (30 minute wait time with support reps who aren't authorized to do anything except email the branch, the same branch that directed you to the phone!) Worst rental car experience I've ever had.

I wanted to leave a review for Kenny who was our shuttle driver at the Houston Hobby Hertz. After letting him know we didn't have a reservation, he phoned the office to let them know we were on our way and to make sure they could help us out. After arriving to the office, he walked myself and my two coworkers inside and spoke with a gentleman at the front desk to ensure that we are able to get a car. Kenny went above and beyond to help us in a stressful situation.

Fraudulently charged me for gas on a car I returned with a full tank, and I have receipts to prove it. The local office never picks up the phone. I've tried to get this fixed since February. NEVER using Hertz again.

If I could give zero stars I would. I booked a mini van through thrifty/Hertz the same company. Pd in full weeks ago just to show up tonight and be told I could not have the vehicle because I only had a debit card. But already pdf in full and could have put a hold on funds. Manager refused to come out. When he did he screamed at me me. And then said I could have a compact car. Why could I rent that but not the car I pd for? I ended up not getting the rental because I was refused. I called Priceline who I booked through to get a refund they put me on hold and called Hertz, the manager there said they denied me because my DL and Debit card did not match?!??! I am waiting for a full refund I had to fight for, I sent them a picture of my DL and debit card and they could see it was a lie. Meanwhile the woman behind me had been stuck there for hours she had also already pd in full flying in from another state to see the birth of her grandchildren that she was missing because they were refusing her rental also for some random "policy". Please do not do business with these people they are rude and will try to rob you blind.

Don't use Hertz. When we go to rent the car, no one let us now if we use the paytoll, we have to pay for their partner company platepass 9.99 per day extra fee. After we finish the trip and go home, we got the email bill and they have charged my credit card directly and without any notifications and agreement. When we try to contact this company, ask them why they changed me directly without my agreement. They just said they have to charge because we use pay toll. I told them if I knew you would charge me 9.99 per day I would not use. But no one let me know. Then, they have no more respond. They are liars and try to cheating people money.

We often rent vehicles to save wear and tear on our own cars for long haul drives. This time, we rented a convertible. As always, cars are in excellent condition and clean. However, it was the EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONALIZATION of the service we received from our agent, Kevin. He walked us out to the vehicles and gave us the signature Hertz choice that comes with our membership. Took the time to explain how the vehicle worked with the convertible top and made us feel like family. This type of service provided by Kevin shows his commitment to his company and the exemplary person that he is. Because Hertz invested in Kevin, we will always come back to that Hertz location.

I ran into a bad situation with another rental company. So I went over to Hertz late at night with my fingers crossed. Ebony and the crew came in clutch. She helped me get what I needed. And her bright smile and happy demeanor saved the day. Thank you, Ebony and company!
