Keyana has so much customer service. I forgot an envelope in my rental a black Rouge and she left herself a reminder to see if it was still there and it was when the car was returned and she called me to retrieve it. NOW THAT'S GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE ⚘️? I will always rent at this location for sure. Especially if she's there. Ms. Lyons

The place stinks. I’m not gonna totally blame the people that work there because it seems they have a small team and a busy store. It would help them to have some sort of line where you can’t just get skipped. The hertz rental car model is just outdated. Save yourself some time and download turo, although it’s new it’s way less of a headache. Don’t take your frustration out on the workers they are just workers .

Small amount of cars at this location. They offer electric cars but never fully charge.....customer needs to waist time their vacation or work to charge vehicles.

I booked a van rental with 7 passengers 2 weeks in advance through Expedia. The rental agency called me on Friday, minutes before close. They said my vehicle was damaged and offered me a vehicle with fewer seats as well as much less space than I required (a Nissan Rogue) I paid for this booking in advance
I waited on hold with Hertz for 45 minutes before I got someone on the line. This person listened to my issue, then immediately transferred me to the location, despite being fully aware it was closed. I waited on hold another hour. While next individual recommended I contact a Hertz location that had a vehicle that suits my needs and apply the balance towards that vehicle or they would provide an upgrade t no additional cost. When the location opened. I drove up there and confronted potentially the worst sales associate I've ever heard of. She attempted to not let me into the storefront. Despite the fact it was raining. I asked her to discuss this out of the rain, and she relented. She refused to do anything to rectify the situation or locate me a replacement vehicle. She claimed there was no way to refund me as Expedia had the funds. Expedia customer service claimed the opposite. Hertz had the funds. I filed a resolution through both companies. Both have rejected my demands for a refund, despite offering me no recourse or doing anything reasonable to accomodate my needs and our agreement. At this point they have stolen $647.00 from me. Expedia was only willing to return the 120.00 i paid for additional insurance and roadside ssistance. I had to rent a new vehicle from Budget on short notice, which cost me double, and delayed my trip.plans by 5 hours. Do not rent from Hertz, especially this location. That employee as well as everyone I dealt with are awful. Hertz are a bunch of fraudsters and are horrible in general. I don't recommend their services or that if Expedia any longer. I have filed a dispute with my credit agency.

Worst service. @Hertz, you need to take a look at this center and either remove the location or have better staff. I have been a long time Hertz customer and never have had this experience.

Beware, arrive w/ NO CARS available in the branch at your confirmed reservation time. While at the branch with a reservation but no car, you will be given a 1-800#, and you will wait for 1 hour on hold for the 800 specialists to pick up your call. However, if you put the hold music on your speaker phone, the branch staff will get annoyed and finally try to help you by calling other branches. You will also not receive a courtesy call prior- letting you know you won't have a car at your reserved pick-up time or even that day. You will not be reimbursed for the UBER that got you to the branch to pick up your non-existent car or your sad return trip home with no car (ruined travel trip or transportation to work that day, etc). Prepare for surprise and disappointment.
Top all this off with a snippy attitude from Ryan -the #1 rental car company in the US. While I was there, 4 other customers came in; some received a car, and some did not – I was told it was preferential treatment for regular customers and insurance companies. Tell my "no car travel trip" that you prefer other customers. PS, I was still charged for that rental even w/ no car and am now in a loop with Amex dispute/rebill/dispute, rebill. I’ve rented here before, and Ryan is not a pleasure to work with. He is scripted but condescending. You have that YUCK feeling when dealing with/ him as he is well-armed w/ boxed customer nonresolution responses and the half smirk/ half smile. For example, the first time I rented, I called him 2 hours early and said I would be 30 minutes late to pick up the car; he said – the car wouldn’t be available. Overall, I’m disappointed for both of us – I rent often and live in this neighborhood. Hertz, where did you go? Ryan, if you go through all of the trouble to be so good w/ the scripted responses - why not put those talents to use and help every customer feel wanted - not just the ones you have deemed worthy?

Terrible experience. I showed up and they said they had no cars. The manager completely fumbled my reservation and wasn't able to get me a different car before their system shut off. I showed up to a different location the next morning like he recommended. Still no cars. I asked about the no show fee and he said don't worry about it. Sure enough, I checked my statements later and they did have the nerve to charge me $63! Customer support ghosted me for over a week, so I ended up just having my bank resolve the matter. I'd like to get reimbursements, but their whole setup is so bad it's not even worth it.

This is my first time doing a car rental so in my personal experience I received an excellent service from Kenyatta! She helped me out from start to end. She explained the process, it did not take more than 30mins to wrap things up. The car I got was a Honda HR-V 2023 , super clean , no issues, rides super smooth and does saves up on gas. I would recommend this location!

We booked a 4 door pickup for May 2 a month ago. So they called me today, May 1, and said that no pickup is available. Either they over booked or they planned poorly or both. We called Enterprise and got immediately a 4 door pickup on the So. Loop. I'll never again call Medical Center Hertz (So. Main), I wouldn't hire them as street sweepers. I failed to read the string of negative reviews before calling this outfit. They have far more negative than positive rfeviews, a very, very long string of them. Check it out.

dont rent here. go to enterprise or check available rentals on priceline. we made reservations months ago and received a call a day before telling us they dont have any car available for us. this is not acceptable service, you at least let the customer know a week in advance at a minimum, preferably a couple of weeks in advance.
Edit to the reply down below: bullcrap. You run on some lean strategy and overbook your cars. What's more, telling local management obviously, doesn't help, when I see more negative reviews due to your service than all of the other reviews put together.
