Was in town for work, on a night to just chill by myself. It’s your typical LGS, but one that doesn’t really work for MTG collectors. Can’t speak to any other TCG, but they didn’t have full art lands, tokens, or sorted set cards to look at. Could still be great for hanging out as a lgs, just not for collectors.

Nice shop, collected a bunch of donated yugioh cards and bought some packs. Owner was very attentive to each customer that walks in. If you're looking for singles, it's at display case.

The place was extremely busy. Tyler was kind of enough to do me a courtesy and inspect and authenticate some unopened boxes and packs of yugioh cards for me. He gave me excellent customer service in an expedient manner before asking me if I needed anything else before assisting other customers.
I was very impressed its this kind of customer service, fast/accurate/polite/helpful, that is lacking at most tcg stores in Houston and abroad.

I was there on Saturday an I was chilling there no problem. Till I went to the bathroom an let me tell you. It smell terrible there. Like old urine there an omg Bad. They need to take care of the restroom a bit more. But other then that it was ok stay. Just the staff need to be on point on the restroom

First time in and what great customer service. The employee behind the counter was very helpful. They seem to have plenty of products and singles. Will definitely be back for my pokemon fix!

My kid has started collecting Pokemon cards recently and we've come in here a few times so he can pick out some new ones. The guys at the counter are always great with helping him build up his collection and have even searched for a specific card for him.

I’ve done some extensive research and visited multiple card stores recently and a bunch of people will say the exact same thing about this one particular store owner. The majority card collectors that I have surveyed say that the store owner/managers behavior makes it more undesirable for a second visit.
Every so often I would eavesdrop on conversations with people sharing their own terrible experience about the store manager/owner that he is.
And based on my experience, these people are actually not wrong.
Yes, the hard fact is that people are secretly turned off by this guy.

As a 90s baby I've always loved pokemon.
I stopped past the store to get an update on my current cards. I'm glad I came here! Tyler was a major help. He showed hospitality, and was extremely informative.

Great shop, hard not to say to many great things about who runs the shop and the shop itself, They're not what you would consider a huge store but they do have a wide selection and array of collections. Tyler is very understanding and has great knowledge of many different collections, if he doesn't have what you are looking for he will happily try and direct you in the best place he believes you are looking for. Sometimes on the weekend it does get a bit busy and as they do have card tournaments on the weekends so if you're looking to trade in cards you might have to wait a bit and be understanding as a customer. Polite, Understanding, Knowledgeable, Fairly priced, Authentic product and authentic care for the customers. I've visited many shops in Houston and Hero's is above and beyond my favorite and is a nice change as many other shops are only worry about money.

Been here a couple times before only for a pack every few months or so very cool place would love to play a tourney here but every time I come here the guy behind the counter does not seem to be in a good mood I get if it’s a bad day but I’ve been here 4 times and he’s never happy hope the guy is okay bc it makes me think twice before coming in overall great place

The first thing I noticed was this place was very unorganized. I was “greeted” by a very unwelcoming employee - seemed like he was angry to even be there and I was inconveniencing him. I asked him about trading/selling a couple of cards, to which he cut me off mid-sentence and told me he wasn’t buying any more of these cards for the day. Apparently he’d already made a big purchase and it was my fault for trying to trade in mine? I don’t know what his deal was but I’ve never been spoken to that way while trying to do business with another seller. I would normally take this first interaction minimally but the entire interaction was completely unprofessional. I will not be bringing my business here again. I ended up making a much better deal after leaving his store - so I guess it worked out in my favor anyway? Thanks for turning me away so abruptly, I guess.
Update - I’m being claimed as a fake customer“ and my review being false. I in fact was in your store yesterday while you were holding a Yugioh tournament. Just own the fact that you were possibly having a bad day, at you treated a customer poorly. No worries man. I won’t return but don’t claim that this is a fake review. Because it most certainly is not.
