I have nothing but great things to say about my two visits to HVC so far. My young male Labrador had a terrible UTI that instead of running its course with the antibiotics from the ER vet decided to return with a vengeance. I was already casually shopping for a new primary care vet as I didn’t love the offices I had tried for various wellchecks for both my dog(s) and training clients.
While at VEG I had asked a vet tech there who she personally recommended and this was one of the two options which by happenstance had an open same day appointment when my dog became incredibly symptomatic and uncomfortable overnight a few days after finishing his antibiotics.
We have seen Jung as our vet tech and Dr Slack as our vet for both the initial appointment and the follow up we had today. Both allowed me to utilize the handling drills we have been working on since he was 8 weeks old because while he is incredibly social with zero behavior issues, he is a 7mo giant Labrador who is happy to body slam into anyone who he deems to be his friend if they start in with baby talk voice. Which I would rather not allow him to practice, so I am incredibly appreciative of these two being patient and afford Ghost the opportunity to practice good vet behaviors that we want as he grows up and gets even bigger.
Dr Slack had great attention to detail to the timeline I presented ant the first app
and my concerns about the bacterial skin rash that also seemed to be off and on brewing on his stomach. With this in mind we decided to go with a longer course of a different antibiotic that let us address the rash at the same time as the UTI. I was also provided with anti inflammatories and pain medication as needed for his first 2-3 days of starting treatment since he was not having a good time existing and this gave us relief until the abx kicked in full force.
We just finished our two week check up where they took another sterile urine sample and verified that the UTI was completely resolved. Dr Slack also took the time to talk through a medicated shampoo plan to deal with the remaining skin concerns and how to then taper him off of needing medicated baths to not turn into a cycle of treating and overdrying, which I greatly appreciate.
Overall 10/10, already recommending to others:
- quiet office
- quick moving to an exam room
- staffing that allowed young dog learning/training opportunities versus overwhelming with baby talk and too much affection for a bouncy wrecking ball of a Labrador
- great attention to detail and patience
- and honestly, REALLY affordable exam fees

Dr. Yu and Dr. Slack are the most empathetic, caring and attentive veterinarians I’ve ever had in a lifetime of pet ownership. They have helped me through some really hard decisions with facts, data driven insight, AND most importantly - empathy and patience. They take the time to explain diagnoses, they take the time to discuss test results, they take the time to brainstorm treatment plans and they take the time to listen while you tearfully look for guidance to help make tough decisions. I cannot recommend either of these doctors more.

The facility was exceptionally clean and had a pleasant aroma. Every staff member, from the receptionist to the technicians, demonstrated remarkable professionalism and friendliness. Dr. Mai exhibited patience and gentleness in handling my 9 year old, and the technician, Melissa, displayed commendable knowledge in addressing my inquiries. It is wonderful to have a positive experience for our first time at this clinic!

Man, I just love this place. I've been to a few different vet clinics that were really pretty good but this is the first place that makes me just want to gush about them for awhile. Everybody I talk to here is just wonderful; from the front desk to the vet techs to the veterinarians... They're all so patient and kind. I always leave in a better mood than when I got there.
But the care is fantastic too. We have an older dog with some health concerns and got labwork done at another vet before we found this place. They were saying right off the bat that it looked like cancer and it felt very much like a scare tactic with how little info they had. Came here for a second opinion and I'm so glad we did... Dr. Slack was so level-headed and reassuring. She said that while the results COULD indicate cancer, there was a whole slew of other things it could be so she recommended additional testing that could narrow it down. She gave me all the info I needed to feel like I was making informed choices and I felt confident that I was doing the best thing for my doggo every step of the way. And as it turns out: it wasn't cancer!
Dr. Slack and the vet techs made a stressful situation much easier to handle and I'm so grateful.
Today I brought my cat in for the first time here, and again I'm blown away by this place. She's generally sweet at home but we've had issues with going to the vet... She actually growled/hissed and hid at the last couple vet places we've tried out... but here, the vet tech (I wish I could remember her name! If you see this, you were seriously awesome!) was sooo sweet and patient. My cat was just in love with her by the end. At first the kitty got a little nervous when Dr. Slack came in but the Dr just stopped, made sure to get rid of any dog smells on her hands that may be upsetting to the cat and just kinda started fresh with her. She adjusted her approach to ease into it and calm my cat down a little... and it worked!
Pretty soon my cat was trying to get head rubs from her too. Totally turned it around, which can be really hard to do once my cat gets anxious.
I'm really impressed. Great vibes from everyone and the entire staff just seems so capable and knowledgeable. I wish I found this place YEARS ago!

I’ve had nothing but exceptional experiences with the team here, from routine veterinary care to emergencies. I’m a dog behavior consultant and refer many clients, as well as friends, to this clinic - with several Fear Free veterinarians - due to their commitment to exceptional veterinary care. Dr. Rodriguez and Dr. Slack in particular have been absolutely wonderful to work with. I’m incredibly appreciative to Heights Vet Clinic.

Wow I’m amaze how hospitable they I walked in asking if they saw my fur child yes he was lost KAT help me out tremendously they even made a post and shared it on social media now he is found they are so kind if anybody has any questions about their fur baby with open heart they are there to fully answer your questions to their knowledge or even help out I couldn’t ask for more. They are awesome.

When I brought my dog in he was sick, barely able to move and having lose bowels. They were very caring, thorough and offered a treatment plan customized by my requests, needs and desires. I received great customer service and my dog, Rocko received great care. I am very happy and pleased with his new doctors office.

This place has gone full corporate. This used to be a great neighborhood vet clinic with caring compassionate staff and doctors. Once they went corporate, they became cold blooded money hungry. Beware! They are not taking your pets needs into consideration, they are following corporate guidelines for billing you the most!
