HEB is what I've always wanted in a grocery store. I use to frequent 3 stores in the Houston area: one, for the best prices, one, for the superior products and one, because they carried the "hard to find" gourmet items. I ran myself ragged until I found HEB. It has all three. I'm fussy about my food and, with HEB, I can be!

Whatever you do don’t call the pharmacy. Either you’ll be on hold for eternity or get hung up on after pressing umpteen options to get through. Embarrassing customer service.

I've used this pharmacy three times for drug info and counseling. The pharmacists were always patient, helpful, and gracious. As a senior, this is an essential service. I thank HEB and this staff for being truly great when I needed them. Until you face drug issues as a senior, you can't truly appreciate how vital this help is. You must read and understand what medicines you are taking, their side effects, and how your body might react to them. I had a terrible reaction to a Prevnar vaccine 2 weeks ago. I had it at Walgreen's, and it almost killed me. I'm still dealing with side effects days later. Be very careful with vaccines. Get your doctor's guidance here, don't be a walk in like I was. If in doubt about side effects, don't take it. All drugs and vaccines carry risks. Be sure you know what they are, read all patient inserts, and ask questions. Don't be careless, your life could be at stake.

I got a text that said prescription would be ready by 10a on Monday, Sept 9. I came to pick it up at 7p on Monday, Sept 10 and they said they already put it back on the shelf. No apologies and tried to tell me I was wrong even after I showed them text evidence that they were in the wrong!
Oh, and they don’t take Apple Pay. Get it together HEB!!

From amazing to HORRIBLE! I don’t know what happened here, but myself and a few colleagues recently spoke about how we had to switch pharmacies. They have become overly strict with getting your medications, refusing a refill down to a day or hour too early. Mind you, I have zero controlled substances filled! I am now met with aggressive, angry employees that try and WORK AGAINST YOU!
I had finally found a pharmacy that was efficient, friendly, and worked with the patients, but that has truly fallen by the wayside! Ridiculous!!

Completely unprofessional! I have a 7mm herniation in my back and have been prescribed hydrocodone for years. I have always done my business with HEB because I thought they were actually operating in order to help people that have VALID prescription's.
Funny how it's never been an issue until now because it's a controlled substance.
Why is it any pharmacy employee can log into their system and tell me if the medication is available but because it's a medication that's commonly abused the employee asked the pharmacist instead and I guess policy at that point is all based on their discretion. Ridiculous practice to make it almost impossible to get the medication I need.
Like I said it's interesting the pharmacist gets to play Dr. and looks at you and must decide of you fit their "customer profile".
I would highly recommend any another pharmacy. I can call and they don't judge you because you need pain medication. They are there to help not judge and supersed a medica doctors request.

I came from cvs to HEB, best decision ever. The staff is a lot nicer too! I will say going inside is a lot faster than the drive thru. I've never had issues with my medication.

On April 17, 2024 I went to pick up my prescription. I waited in line for over 30 minutes!!!!!!!!!! Once I got up to the window it was around 8:06p-8:07p and the horrible tech refused to give me my prescription she was very rude but the person in front of me got theirs and it was after 8 too!!!!!!!!!!!! The customer service is awful!!!!!!! Slowi slow slow!!!!!!!!!!!!! After I pick up my prescription tomorrow it will be the last time I use this horrible horrible poor excuse for a pharmacy!!!!!!! They need faster more competent people and another pickup lane!!!!!!!!!!!

I go to the HEB by my house, but this HEB is close to my work. I got a massive migraine at work and wanted to get my migraine medication refilled to pick up as soon as possible... When I asked the soonest that they could get this ready for me, they said it would be at 1 pm, which is 3 hours from now... so now I am unable to get much work done for the next 3 hours while I wait for them to fill this one simple medication that does not even need to be counted out. Literally just need to out a label on a box... never coming here again and possibly finding a while new pharmacy in general
