I'm going directly to where I know this Company went wrong. The hiring of a very rude, non personable, disrespectful, ignorant, volgur, unprofessional and an abusive speaking individual. Daniel Finscher, that's how your are perceived by most. Please leave me and my name out of your conversations. You didn't then nor do you ever deserve someone worthy like myself. I didn't call in, I showed up when scheduled, I gave 120% even when I couldn't. I was operationaly sound. I didn't steal from the company. I was instructive and productive. I worked hard to develop the team. I weaved most together when when most had fallen apart. I stood firm when we werehighly understaffed and overwhelmed. What you didn't know, is that I came with over 40 years of Retail Management experience. As a department manager, an assistant manager, store manager and as a district manager. Always leading by example, exceeding set goals, providing consistent customer service, and strived to form an effective and efficient team. So, if you're gonna put my name in any conversation, please do so by my true performance. Not as you have done, by words of others that were in fear of losing their jobs or for some reason were intimidated by me. You continuously cut hours, and yetexpect 3-4 people to do the work of 20-30 and yet want to hold them accountable? The problem is that were very few people to get it done with in the 1st place. Unrealistic, unreal and definitely out of normality, given what we had to work with. Especially, under the pressure that you impose, under the abusive micro managing tactics that you enforce and the awful mannerisms for in which you approach your team. That's not leadership, it's clearly abuse! You should know when you enter any facility, to say hello to your guests. You never do. Your arrogance sets the tone for your presence. It clearly rubs off wrong. You wear your hypocrisy on your sleeves. Definitely, the wrong person to lead this company. All Goodwill has to do, is sit down with any of it's Store Managers and Assistant Managers in private and gain in debt, feedback from them to know that what I'm saying, is 100% correct. Most would agree, you make it very intense, it's apparent that you're very ignorant and yes, you are very abusive in speaking and directing your peers. Goodwill has to do something to change it up and treat it's Managers and it's employees with some respect. You must do better then this, and it starts with replacing Daniel. I've struggled with having to come on here to post this but came to the conclusion, that I must. I really enjoyed my job there, in spite of the many unfortunate circumstances and all that I had to deal with. I didn't deserve to be terminated for some lame reason, and then to have;1. Terrance cowardly lie and use a bogus claim to fire me. Because we didn't meet rack count? After so many times they've missed it or came short of it? I had no DA, the cashier was sent home early by the ASM whom left early and was very short on her production. I was the cashier and had a pricer sort, hang, tag and on top of that, be the DA. With NO one else on the floor but me. We came up short but tried, just us 2 but we really tried.2. Daniel uses me as an example of what he doesn't want hired. You use someone who never called in, never was late, always did his job, went beyond to satisfy customers, worked well with most employees, was sound with the store operations, was very dependable vs those who always called in, whom were very irresponsible, hid from their duties, their responsibilities and relied on others to get them through. Whom carried an I know it all attitude, were uncoachable, resisted instructions and directions. Some were questionably favored over your actual hard workers and honest producers. Please stop it! I stand with hopes that Goodwill Industries moves forward with positive outcomes and better more professional leaders in their future. The one you have driving this bus, has driven it

I moved here from IL and often purchased items from goodwill. When I moved to tx went to the store and was terribly disappointed. The are a disorganized mess, dishes you can't even see on top of clothes racks, clothes that the homeless shouldn't have to wear. I took some clothes over that I had washed and made sure they were in good condition the young man dumped them out of the bag and on the floor. Disgusting

Went to the Goodwill store in the Heights on 20h. Unfortunately was embarrassed by the store manager who would not take cash for my purchase, only a credit card. There was only 1 clerk cashier who took cash checking out a lady with a larger full basket deciding what she would purchase as she placed the items on the counter. In the meantime the manager checked out 4 people behind me. Then I was asked to step aside 6 feet by security, the manager stood there with a deer in the headlight expression on her face. She said nothing to come to my aid. To be asked to stand aside like a piece of trash was embarrassing and humiliating.

While dropping off donations I actually heard who I found out is manager telling another employee I DON'T GÍVE A F#@K! She was not whispering said she sees customers stealing a just don'tCare enough about that place! Way to go Maria! If this store was managed correctly it would not have to close. Glad Goodwill is closing this location, is not a way to run or manage a store. Trying to contact HR Corporate to let them know so another location is not jeopardized

Almost 2 weeks ago … and several times since, including just yesterday (Sunday, 6/12/22) I was in the Tomball Goodwill Family Store. I’m a senior and I often shop there … especially for books. I love to read an with today’s inflation everyone, but particularly we seniors need to stretch our dollars as much as possible. Plus, with this triple digit heat, staying indoors, and mentally alert through reading, is important to seniors. It was bad enough when you changed your corporate policy to eliminate Senior Discounts; but then you also increased your book prices by 200-300 percent … and more! But, now I find that … at least in your Tomball Store, very little attention is paid to the book section.Back to my visit of 2 weeks ago. I was fortunate to have visited the store as a corporate representative was touring the store with the manager … and was obviously offering suggestions for improving its operation. I apologized for interrupting there discussion as asked if I might ask them a question.. they were both most courteous and very professional, welcoming any questions or comment I might have.So … I pointed to the 3 sets of bookshelves (18 shelves in total, of which only 9 shelves contained books, not a lot, but a few books) … and asked why new books hadn’t been added in well over a month. CRICKETS.Then the manager advised that some had been added earlier that day … and that she would ensure more would be brought out from “out back”. The corporate rep thanked me for bringing it to their attention and said they always welcomed advice from their customers. They both went on to explain that they can only stock that which is delivered from their warehouse, as well as local donations. I said that it was hard to believe that in over a month they hadn’t received books from either source … and was again assured by the manager that much more attention would be paid to the book section in her store. Now … back to my visit yesterday … again, about 2 weeks after my conversation with the store manager and your corporate representative. I took the attached pic yesterday and you will note that it shows bookshelves in basically the same condition as those in the second pic … which was taken 2 weeks ago.It has now been well over 6 weeks since I last saw those shelves with even a reasonable nuMber of books being offered for sale, and I feel that I was simply being placated by the store manager during that conversation. She either forgot the conversation as soon as I left the store … or her store is not being adequately serviced by corporate.I find it very difficult to envision any other explanation.Prior to my retirement, I spent decades in marketing, customer service, and sales … and know from personal experience that over 90% of disgruntled customers never take the time to explain to sellers the reason(s) for their feeling of annoyance.I’ve now done that. In point-of-fact, I’ve provided three separate and distinct reasons. I hope these will be used to improve the customer experience at your stores.Respectfully submitted,Larry MiazgaPlease note

Let me start by saying I visit a Goodwill location every week day, well over 200 times a year, or at least I did up until now.Over the past four years I’ve watched Goodwill become less and less about Good Will and more about becoming a corporate monster. Why does a thrift store with more name recognition than any other thrift store need ads in Minute Maid Park? How much of the revenue you receive from people under the guise of “good will” do you spend on giant ads in a stadium? It’s apparent that it’s a lot as prices have increased substantially. I am talking 3x or 4x the prices on most items in just a four year period of time. That isn’t inflation, it’s greed. But I am glad you are able to host your corporate meetings at River Oaks Country Club because of your increased prices. At my local store, they did away with the appreciation day. Why? I guess you can’t pay for your fancy corporate meetings or giant ads without nickel and diming your customers that you “appreciate”. I can visibly see all of the workers are more stressed in the recent months because of all sorts of changes that have been made. I certainly won’t be donating anything to goodwill anymore and likely will take my business to other thrift stores until they reinstate their old policies and prices that made Goodwill feel like an actual thrift store and not a corporate penny pinching machine.

Hate to do this because of repercussions that I know will happen but I am tired of being treated like I am not welcome in the last store I still shop. I used to love to shop at all stores, got to meet people that I am friends with and enjoyed meeting then on Wednesday for seniors days. We'll here how it is now, I walk to the store I see people talking about me, rolling their eyes when I am spending my money to help pay for their salary. Just yesterday a employee told me that she doesn't want help me because I make her uncomfortable, I asked was I ever mean to you? She said no so why you are mean to me and her answer was because once you touched me in the back.. I truly believe the stores needs changes, less and less people are happy shopping at Goodwill stores..in another words the whole goodwill industry needs a overallrewrewiew

I am very disappointed and will stop shopping there, I am on Social Security and have very limited money to shop with, Discontinued the Senior discount on Saturday and now on Wednesday too. The tag colors aren’t helpful because that’s usually old merchandise that has been in the store too long, not at all helpful to seniors. I can’t think of a store that doesn’t give Seniors a discount on a certain day of the week. Greed is a sin yet you claim to be helping under privileged, lying is also a sin.

I am sorely disappointed in the current changes made towards my senior discount being cancelled on Wednesdays. I looked forward to Wednesday shopping ?️. The cashier announced the change as I stood in line with my little pocket change,I had to put some item's back. For a store that relys on donations is hard to understand why you need to change the rules.I think in the future l will reconsider who I give my used goods to. Good will has lost it's good to me.
