The customer service at this location definitely 5 stars. I had an emergency with my tires and I came right before closing and they took my car in and helped me out! If you ever want GREAT service. Come to this location. They will not let you down. Really appreciative of this staff for everything they did for me

Travis was 10/10 helping as soon as I pulled in to discounts lot. He let me know my tires were bald and needed to be replaced. He also let me know which one was the worst if I didn’t want to do them all at once. He was super patient with me and helped me find the right tires for my car as I decided to replace all.

I have had consistently good experiences at multiple Discount Tire locations in the Houston area. I recommend them. Paul was very helpful at this location today.

Never coming back to this location, service was ok. The serious issue is when I went to get my tires changed and replaced, they did not properly install the wheel weights after balancing the tires. When I returned 10 minutes after driving and noticing a vibration. I noticed the wheel weights fell off. When I asked them to rebalance the tire they told me that my rim was bent and couldn't be balanced. I then went to the location on west road and they balanced all of my tires. I did not have a bent rim after all. They were not doing their due diligence at this location. This is a major safety concern.
CUSTOMERS BEWARE THIS LOCATION IS NOT GOOD, STAY AWAY.

It’s true, I’m one of those- I only leave negative reviews when I do decide to review. I want to do better about leaving positive reviews when I enjoy experiences and services but there are only so many hours in a day and this unfortunately is not one of those times when I get to engage positivity.
This place is chaos embodied and needs much better management. When called to schedule an appointment, I was told they were wide open and a time was selected for 1:30 PM. Showed up to be checked in at a tent while in my vehicle where I was ignored by the check-in attendant for two people who walked up in person. Then was told to “park over there” and wait for someone to come do a “safety check” with me.
I waited in my car in a parking lot for 15 min, temp is 90 degrees. No one came. I walked back up to the tent and waited to talk again to the attendant. This time I was told to go inside to wait.
I waited inside until around 2:15 when someone finally helped me. I watched as a man came in around 2 PM and said he was here for his 2 PM appointment and he was helped right away. I’m not sure why I received such a different reception and was ignored, maybe because I don’t know the secret *man* handshake.
When I was eventually helped, I am told that they waived an installation fee but I have no idea what this fee was so it feels meaningless. Obviously they realized they were messing up, but it really wasn’t enough to erase everything else, sorry. I left about an hour and a half after my appointment time which was for one tire to be replaced.
This place was absolutely jam-packed full of people waiting and clearly the workers were overwhelmed. I have NO idea why they offer appointments since it seems meaningless (except for that one guy…) Why did they say they were wide open on appointment times? Just don’t offer appointments when you are that busy!
It’s like they have never heard of “underpromise and overdeliver” which should be like management 101. Just tell people they are gonna have to wait for 2 hours and they will be happy as clams when you see them in an hour and a half. Giving the false impression of appointments just makes everyone’s lives worse.
The place seems hurried and run like a sweat shop. I am honestly worried that a rush job was done on my vehicle and don’t feel great about having come here.
For the record, I have had a completely opposite experience that was pleasant calm, and respectful at a different Discount Tire location so this seems location specific. I’ll avoid this location in the future.
Edit to add: The tire that was replaced was overfilled at 38 PSI and my car manufacturer recommends 32 PSI. Since they don’t think women brains can handle this, it was also confirmed by my husband and we corrected it at home. Check. Their. Work

I bought new tires couple weeks ago.
They put too much air in my tires and they tightened the screw way to much t that one broke..
My tire is missing one screw or tornillo or whatever the name is .
I don’t feel safe driving.
I stop by the shop to see that I get help with that .
But I got cero help .
One of the boys that work over there ,told me I don’t speak Spanish.
Rude .I was talking to him in English .
The thing is they work very fast and they don’t put attention to details.
I probably need to find a new place that appreciate me as a customer.
Also my TPMS light is on since I got to that shop.
Thanks

I made an appointment, they were great dropping off my car and taking care of everything checking in. They sent a app saying track you vehicle. Well I guess it wasn't working that day, because it never told me my car was ready. So I called before they would close and I felt I got the run around a little bit. Then the last person I talked to said "do you want to pick your car up." Hello who doesn't need there car these days. Maybe they should work on their checking out procedure.

Went in to get new tires and a mount and balance. When done there was a tire pressure light on, was told that I need to drive 10 miles and it should reset. Oh man, just because I'm a female don't play me, you broke the tire sensor. Yes that was the case. But other than that, Teddy was an extreme helpful and happy worker, made my comeback all worthy! Kudos to you,Teddy!!

Not content with being one of the most reliable retailers in Texas, Discount Tire has embraced shameless upselling for a quick profit.
The last two times, before even beginning to discuss my tires, I was advised, despite all the modern technology and improved performance, all windshield wipers should be replaced every six months.
New York marketing has infected the best of Texas. To quote Joseph Welch: “Have You No Sense of Decency?”

They consistently exceed expectations … every location … every time. Next level customer service. They not only listen to the customers needs but they seek to understand and then provide solutions that include options that fit your immediate financial needs in an effort to get you safely back on the road.
Whether you’re an existing, long-time customer or you suddenly experience a tire issue and it’s your first visit, they’ll patch, repair or replace - often free of charge. When buying from them, always purchase the contract / warranty for the tire - you’ll easily recoup that expense either due to road hazards or your next purchase. They provide credit based on the amount of tread remaining on the tire. I commute 70 miles each work day to and from my office - driving Houston’s notoriously highways and roads. Hazards from giant potholes and broken pavement to roadway debris - not to mention random nails and screws. I’ve experienced more than my share of incidents that impact my tires. Anytime my low pressure sensor comes on, my first stop is my nearest Discount Tire.
Pro-tip: book an appointment online. They claim that customers, on average, experience 30% shorter wait times. On my most recent visit, I ruptured a tire and damaged another near my office - just before a long holiday weekend. Went online to check that they had 2 tires available in the size I needed and booked an appointment for 3:30pm. Within minutes, I received a call back from the store, confirming details and he invited me to come right into the store for service. When I arrived, the location was very busy. Before I even got out of the car, a store associate was present, greeted me by name and knew the issue I was there to resolve. 38 minutes from start to finish to have 4 new tires purchased, installed / mounted and balanced. Impressive considering how busy the store was and that it was just before the start of Memorial Day weekend.
Loyal customer for life.

Had to stop by this discount tire since it was the nearest one close by as I hit some debris in the road that caused me to swerve into the curb and puncture my front passenger tire flat.
It was a hot memorial day weekend saturday and I had my two young kids with me. I pulled up and Teddy greeted me with a smile and checked me in. Then he walked me into Kris and they made sure to replace my tire to get me back on the road and I had ZERO issues with my road hazard certificate being used.
Later Teddy came up to me (as he could tell I was flustered) and told me "Dont worry about it, this happens a lot, and especially at this time when their is so much debris from the storm. We will take care of you." That little extra touch put me and my boys at ease. Kris made sure the rest was smooth sailing. I really appreciate both of these men for helping me and my sons out today. They will always have my business. Thanks

Had the best experience with Teddy “the bear” and Stewart (May have gotten this name wrong… I’m so sorry). I had a simple issue that had been bugging me for weeks and they fixed it in literally a minute. Everyone was very friendly and it was a very welcoming atmosphere.
