Just stopped by to get my hair trimmed. I walked in, was asked what I needed by a staff member taking care of someone in a chair(looked like they were straightening the hair). I was told they weren’t open, they were there because they have no power anywhere else. I thought that was rude, they were clearly working on someone. I suggested they put a sign outside stating they’re not open for business, and left.

*1 month update: Salon never reached out regarding correcting the color. Still a terrible reddish (added pics) now with visible dark roots. This does not seem to be a demi gloss. Thanks to Devon for trashing my natural hair color. *
I had a pretty unprofessional experience the second time around. First time was great. Came in for a color gloss to tone down some brassiness & a cut. Everything went great. I like my hair natural & have only had one set of highlights in the past 8yrs. Gloss toned it up & it looked natural. Last Thursday was the opposite. Came in for another color gloss. This time my color was applied to dry/unwashed hair. Figured my stylist had her reasons. Barrier cream was applied to forehead/ears. After a few minutes I advised the barrier cream was burning my skin. It was not removed. Nor was excess dye cleaned off while developing. Upon rinsing dye, she said she was going to do a mask (I didn't ask for). We had discussed no styling, as I was her last appointment of the day & trying to be polite. However, she begun styling. As my hair dried I realized the color was completely different than last time. It was SUPER dark. A purplish black rather than neutral brown it was last time. I had dye stains all over my forehead. She could see I was unhappy & started telling me it would fade out. Afterwards she sent me messages telling me to use sun shampoo, heat, & non color-safe stuff. Said she "couldn't predict how the chemicals would react" & that she was "doing me a favor making it darker since I don't come in often" (I was out of town for a month). I expressed that I was very upset & it's not a favor to end up with something completely different than what it was supposed to be. I have several major upcoming events. I felt that possibly a shortcut had been taken not washing & wet applying. She sent a LAUGH react to the message. Saying she did extra services (mask & wanting to style) but I feel like those were begun because she saw the color was way different & I would be upset. Now it's a week later & I've reached out a couple times because it's a weird reddish tone & my roots are pretty vibrant & appear lifted, which shouldn't happen with a glossing. I also had scabs along my face from the barrier cream. I asked if permanent was applied by accident because I specifically took note of the fact that she didn't clarify to the assistant we were doing glossing when she asked her to make more color. She said it must be something I've done, but I have thinning hair & take NO risks with losing more...which is why I wasn't taking risks on permanent services to begin. Attached photos of when I left, the day after, what the roots are looking like today. This was so unprofessional altogether- but more than anything the attitude like it isn't a big deal & lack of ownership for it. She treated me like a friend who asked her to do their hair at home for free, like "oh well ?♀️ it didn't turn out".

Been going to D&B for the last 10 years (multiple locations). All of my experiences before now have been good.
Devon did my hair once before and she did a great job. This week, I came in, asked for her to do the same trim and layering as the previous time.
She did not show me how my hair looked after it was cut and dried, before she curled it. And I wasn't facing the mirror. So it wasn't until the following day that I noticed how awful it looks. The "layering" was done so strangely. I asked for medium and long layers in the back and face framing layers in the front. It looks like I have three different hair cuts going on. There are short, medium, and long really random and choppy layers. I can't even put it up. Random pieces hanging from different areas of my head makes it impossible, and I look like a rooster. I know it's just a haircut and it's first world problems. But now for the next 6 months or so I have live with this atrocious haircut.
One of the best things about getting a haircut is the salon grade shampoo/conditioner they use. My hair smells and feels amazing several days after getting it washed at a salon. Even at cheaper places.
I'm broke and I use cheap stuff so I really look forward to the fancy smelling products they use.
As she began shampooing/conditioning my hair it became apparent that whatever she was using was very different than anything they've used over the last 10 years. It immediately reminded me of the coconut Aussie brand. Not saying it was Aussie because I don't know for sure. I didn't ask because I thought, surely they would use salon grade products. At the end when she had me look in the mirror I saw that my hair Looked extremely lackluster and dry/frizzy. And my hair smelled like NOTHING. It smelled how it always does. Making me think that they didn't use their salon grade products on me.
I'm a nice person, and I tip well. Going to get my haircut is a big deal for me. My depression makes it extremely difficult for me to take care of myself. Resulting in getting a haircut done once every year or two. What I thought would be a huge pick me up turned into this horrible experience and really reinforced how incredibly unworthy I feel as a human being. I feel really awful and like I got duped.

Check your receipts closely. This salon is charging it's customers for higher priced services even though you are not getting them done on your hair. To top it off the manager and owner are aware and are actually promoting doing this with their staff. (not all staff agree with this and when I asked them they told me it has been going on for a long while and getting worse) They did also raise their prices and they do "tier" pricing based on the persons experience whom is doing your hair. I had been going to this salon for a while before I realized what was happening. The environment at this salon is borderline toxic and you can tell most staff are walking on egg shells. There are some truly amazing people working here but you can feel the tensions the entire time you are there.Services: Haircut

My first time here and I am a very picky person when it comes to my blonde. Only one other stylist has gotten it right. :) I saw a Facebook post from Kirstin and decided to give her a try. Let me just say…..SHE NAILED IT! She took her time to understand what I wanted and made sure the tone was perfect. I was so very happy with her work. If you are needing someone to give you the blonde you want, schedule with Kirstin!!

Raquel is absolutely amazing! She was able to fix a horrible haircut that had been done at another salon and made my hair look beautiful again! All of the girls are so friendly there and making an appointment was a breeze! I will never go anywhere else!

Megan did my hair and can I just say, she is incredible! Not only did she do an absolutely amazing job on my hair and get it exactly how I wanted. She was also so great to talk with. We chatted so effortlessly and she just made the whole experience so wonderful. The ladies at the front were also super nice and accommodating! Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you!
