My 3 children go to this school and I have never had any problems, the teachers and everyone care that the children learn in the best way, one of my son this year 2017 graduates from this school, he was in the Magnet program from p-k and It makes me nostalgic that he will leave for another, I don't know if he will find staff like here... I recommend them 100% for the education of your children. Excellent Teachers Everyone, especially Mr. Gutierrez, everyone always gave me support for my children, I am very grateful and very happy and my children, not to mention, the entire staff is very friendly. 100 ⭐⭐⭐⭐

My child went to this school last year and I was really disappointed. To start there is a facade that drew us in but once we (the parents of our) child realized what a dysfunctional school this really was it was too late to pull our child out. My child is a special needs child that has faced and overcome many challenges due to neurological reasons. She took three blows to the head on separate occasions because of the lack of supervision on the playground and in class. We presume it was caused by the same student but we cannot be certain because we were never given an official report even though we asked numerous times. The excuses we were given would never be presented by conscientious and educated professionals. We believe this culture of complacency starts at the top with the principle and is reinforced by his vice principle. Our child was enrolled and covered by the 504 program that helps her teachers identify any accommodations our child may need to assist her to be fully integrated with her peers in the classroom and feel as much as a normal child as possible. This is accomplished by meeting with the 504 coordinator as early in the school year as possible. This was done and all requests for accommodations were discussed and documented in an official ARD meeting. Our child received few if not any of her accommodations stated in the ARD meeting. It wasn't until her injuries to her facial area that changes were made, SLOWLY. There is a stark difference in how Crespo Elementary is managed compared to the previous school our child attended for three years. We went to visit the school and discussed these matters but we always walked out with more questions than answers. Some of our child's teachers were not even aware of our child's condition. Why? Because this information was never shared with them, this includes medical procedures to administer medication incase of a rare but potential seizure our child may experience. If I could give this school a negative star I would. We are pursuing other courses of action to at least get the full reports to her injuries and instead of starting at the bottom we are starting at the top this time.

Why is Carjaval still employed at Crespo Elementary? Drunk drivers who kill a college student should not be around children, at least until he has proven himself innocent, which does not look like this will be the case.

I really like this school for my son and although he doesn't belong to it I hope they don't take him away from me. They are very good teachers and I like it because the children learn a lot and for many other reasons.

This isn't a good school. They do too much to show off that they forget whats most important ...the STUDENTS. The Vice Principal is a joke. She may seem nice but if you really listen to her vocabulary you'll see she has never seen a thesaurus in her life. Every child is "BAD" by her book when he/she misbehaves. The Principal has no Idea what goes on in the school if he does he chooses to ignore it. The students of the band and choir were not allowed cake on an event night because it was for the parents. How do you have pieces of cake in front of children and say "No You cant have any". If you're a working parent who cant be at the school everyday then this school isn't for your child. This school doesn't treat students equally as they say on their mission statement. All my observations came from being twice to the school. If I notice this on two separate occasion can you imagine what goes on a day to day.
