We recently moved to the area from out of state and needed a new vet. The first visit was okay, but left me feeling uneasy as the staff and the doctor gave the impression that they had better things to do. We were also waiting a while, but that can be expected at initial exam appointments so it didn’t bother me.Today, I brought the dogs back for their flu booster shots. One would assume it would be an in-and-out visit (I’m 37 weeks pregnant and am trying to only do quick errands right now). After waiting in the lobby for 45 minutes past the appointment time, I finally asked the receptionist if this was a typical wait for a routine booster visit. She said she’d see what the holdup was. A few minutes later, she returned with a vet tech who just gave the dogs their boosters in the lobby. And then left one of the used syringes on the reception desk.If it was going to be done so fast and carelessly, why the wait? And if the sign in the lobby that says y’all treat our pets like your own is true, I feel bad for them. We will not be back.

Really bad customer service. Something is off with their staff. You know that feeling of being welcomed to a place? Well, you are not going to get it there. Very disorganized office. Find another place if you care about your pet. Bill was paid right after the visit ($378.13). After almost 2 months, RX could not be approved because there was a $27 balance due to a nail trim they forgot to charge. I never got a call about that. Called it back to understand what was the reason for denial since I was not aware of any balance and was treated as I did not want to pay for that tiny amount. Never heard the words "We are sorry", like it was my fault that they couldn't even get their invoice right. I don't know why I'm surprised since on the they of the appointment, they couldn't even get the right chart for my dog. Although the Doctor was really nice, I will not come back to this clinic where my dog's wellbeing doesn't seem to matter to their staff. I understand there's an open balance and I'll pay for it, but since it wasn't my fault (cause I never got charged), I feel they could have listened to my criticism instead of keep repeating like a robot that I have to pay the balance, which I never denied I would do. I'm in shock with the lack of customer service / professionalism / respect.

Vets are knowledgeable. I would give a 4 or 5 for services, and 1 or 2 for prices. Hence, the reason for a 3. Mom had a cat with medical conditions. Costs ran over $500 for tests! They suggested a followup visit in 2-weeks...who knows what that would have cost. What is disturbing is that the health condition of the 20-year old cat was severe and euphemism should have been suggested/mentioned as an alternative from the onset. Anyways, decision was made for cat to be euphemnized to end the cat's pain and suffering. The cost was almost $300 bucks with basic services (no cremation, momentos, etc)! Totally outrageous! A vet in Spring, Texas charges $110 which is more in line with what it should be. But hey, it the "if people are willing to pay it, why not charge it" mentally works...then why not?Look, we all love are pets and want to do everything to keep them with us longer. However, a point is reached where a decision has to be made in the best interests of the pet and your pocket book. Vets need to be more forthright and share all options with the pet owner and not encourage or push towards the money making machine. Also, when a hard decision has to be made to put a pet down, you will be saving another animal's life with adoption. That $500 push for services was not good. Suggesting another follow up was not good. Not suggesting euphemism when pain and suffering was obvious was not good. Charging $300 in the end was not good. Think of the pet's realistic well being first and money second. Yes, pet owners are emotionally tied to their pet....let's not abuse this with high prices. Pet owners...stand up and don't take it anymore.

Super friendly and helpful. I brought in a stray cat to get him looked at, and they were very informative and assisted me in making decisions on his health care options.

They were able to see us same day. They were through in their explanations medications and my dog's diagnosis. And the clinic is clean and smells wonderful. It has 2 separate entrances for cats and dogs, which is absolutely genius. The standard is wonderful! They even offer different payment methods. I HIGHLY recommend them.

I felt like I was being judged and side eyed for where I got my dog from. Very likely could have been my own self consciousness, but I didn’t love the vibes when interacting with the vet staff. I did such a simple visit to get established and it went well overall. General weight, temp, checkup and they did great with my dog. Something just felt a little off

I love this vet. We’ve been bringing our dog here for years and she always gets the very best care. The staff (front desk and techs) are very caring and always answer my many questions! The vet seems nice too but we usually just see the techs. We recently got a kitten and also bring him here and they helped us with lot of advice about having our first kitten and getting him microchipped. This is not the cheapest vet, but for the service and location I will keep coming here :)

Desiree was such an amazing person to work with. She was willing to sit down and listen to every concern I had and let me know that every single one of my concerns was valid and something to expect, especially with my pups age. The doctor was incredibly friendly and quick to answer some other questions Desiree couldn’t. I appreciate this team so much. Desiree if you see this, keep being wonderful and the amazing person you are. You really made mine and my pups day yesterday ❤️Kaylan and Bud

Fit my loved one in without an appointment, because she was in pain. Everyone is very caring and knowledgeable. You can trust them to do the best for your family. My girl is feeling better already. I love this place.

Such a great visit with Dr. Randall today! She was kind, informative, & really spent time educating us on our new puppy with a broken leg. Her staff was nice & offered tips for teething, etc. The clinic was clean & the prices were reasonable. We live out of town or they would definitely be our vet home!

Clear Lake City Veterinary Clinic was flexible in helping me set-up an appointment for both my dogs at the same time. Even though one of my dogs was nervous to be there, the whole staff was professional and help easy my stress. I appreciate that the vet tech came in and introduced herself and informed me what she was going to do, it’s simple but not every vet clinic does that. Also, Dr. Boppana is amazing! For the past 2 years, my dog has had an intermittent cough. Despite taking her to various vet clinics, they would dismiss my concerns. Dr. Boppana was able to give me a more definite answer and help address the issue.

We had never been to this clinic before but needed emergency care after our boy was bit by a snake. CLCVC was the only clinic near us that would take us immediately (including our normal vet clinic/hospital) and did everything they could to help us. We truly felt like Desiree and Dr. Byars were caring for our pup as they would their own pet. They gave us updates on our cost every time something was administered to make sure we were comfortable with the cost before proceeding and even called multiple vets in the Houston area to find out who had/get quotes on anti-venom which was the next step of care for us. Desiree also went above and beyond and checked in on us the next day to make sure our pup was doing okay. All in all, I most likely be using CLCVC moving forward as our main vet clinic based on our experience. We really appreciate it. Thanks, CLCVC!

They have taken care of our three dogs very well. They treat them well and go the extra step and help trim their nails. They are also reasonably priced.
