Although the business selection is good, parking can be a nightmare. The garages and spaces are hard to find and street parking costs and meters are not clearly marked.
I parked in front of a spot where there was a meter, so I paid for the parking fee and for the extra fee to pay for the parking (yes, double whammy). I was a little late returning and got a ticket that (I believe) is larger than the full-day fee as if I had not paid at all. I cannot confirm this because after four emails to the parking vendor, I still have no reply.
A friend, who did not see that there was a charge for parking and parked for free a few cars down, didn't have someone rush to car when her time was up, so she parked without consequence because there was nothing to alert them to run to her car and give a ticket.
So, in total, I paid to park, paid to pay to park, got a ticket for being a little late back to my car (yes, my fault), and will pay to pay for my ticket - all of which is well above the cost taking your chances and not paying at all. Rip off? Yeah. For sure.
