This place is amazing. They are always there when you need them and they do whatever they can do in their power to be able to work with you. If you are a good customer and a frequent or returning customer And if you don't lose your items with them normally and stay up on your payments these people will literally do whatever they have to do to help you. They have always cared about what I have to say they have always cared about my situation and they have always stepped up to the plate when I needed someone's help. I have always enjoyed the entire staff but I will tell you there is one that stands out above the rest for me and that is Cassandra. She is kind and compassionate and on her job. Even though this is a chain store the people they have hired make it feel like a small family owned business. And it seems like they actually care about their community When someone comes in needing help. Thanks again guys keep up the good work!

I manage the smoke shop next door and will tell everyone who walks through to avoid this place. I can see why they have 3 stars. Upcharge literally every item. And offer you dirt for anything you want to sell. It's a pawnshop... It's supposed to have second hand good for cheap. Not have 720p TVs from 2010 for $100 lmaooo

I've been doing business with this location for over a year. I recently acquired an item I had my eye on for a while. Spoke with Manager Amanda who is very nice and we negotiated a price. Easy to get along with, and under her management seems to have a better selection of items on hand. Very professional and looks to really want to earn your business.It's nice to see that Cash America has management like her who keeps all parties happy, and everybody wins. She really cares about the customers. Looking forward to continue shopping at this location. Great job Amanda.

Been a regular customer at this location for years. Just had a terrible experience. Since this new store has a new manager, his name is Eric. He is a terrible manager. Brought me n very high-end omega vintage watch, Of course I know the real value -his attitude was like , why am I having to walk to the counter and talk with you, he could care less. His ridiculously low offer was laughable. Also, today this happened, in to pay for a week extension, A very obviously high person who had been outside looking at bicycles when I pulled up in the parking lot, Aggressively starts yelling and telling me I cut in line, which I definitely did not, This personally was clearly trying to create a situation and force attention on himself, the same manager Eric refused to do anything about this aggressive person inside a store. Scaring my 10-year-old son and putting me in a precarious defense mode situation.

One of the people working here was extremely rude to me while I was attempting to pay down what I owed on what I had pawned and extend the due date.Talked down to me because I didn't know it was a cash only business, then told me he was going to keep my items because I wouldn't have time to get back that day and it was the last day I could pay on the pawn ticket, and if I wanted to get my items back later I could buy them back at a mark up. While walking out I flipped him off (I shouldn't have done that) and ran to a atm as fast as I could. When I got back I was able to pay them most of the money I owed on the ticket and when I was done paying the manager came and told me I was banned from the building for "threatening a employee".So now I'm out a bunch of money and several hundred dollars in tools that where just stolen from me by this business.

I've only ever bought from this pawn shop, I've never sold anything to them, so I can't speak on how much they pay for stuff. When I'm in the area I tend to stop in and check out what they got, decent selection but from their pricing they must think their stuff is made of gold. Sometimes you catch a good deal, but for example a 4K Blu Ray Player might be $150 new, they'll have a used one there for $149. The whole point of buying from a pawn shop is to get a good deal, where here the pricing is so close to retail you might as well buy whatever brand new. The staff is usually cool, but the pricing and the awkwardly dangerous parking lot isn't the best.

This place always has good items and I’ve bought a lot of stuff from here and have brought items as well they give you good deals and they work with youFound my favorite Gucci shoes and they were like brand new I recommend this please not getting at all. Like other ones having crack heads lingering around lol

You think you know somebody and then they show their true colors. I've been coming to this Cash America for the past 6 years they usually have decent stuff and people seem nice enough. I deal in jewelry and high end accessories and have always been helpful in showing them what to watch out for and steered them away from bogus stuff. So I come in to get a pawn loan on $1000 LumiNox watch, I have the original box paperwork warranty card. The girl at the counter has an I don't give a damn mentality. She sees what the watch is worth and scurries to the manager and literally says I think we can steal this watch from him. I've known the manager for a couple years, she wouldn't even look at me. The girl comes back and tells me she can loan me 75 or I could sell it for 100. I advise if you are in the area avoid this place at all costs. Go to the EZ Pawn down N Shepherd you can trust the people over there. As far as Cash America on Durham- they can rot in hell I hope none of them ever need anything from me, I'd let them drown.

I needed at least 100 bucks for a couple of bills so I took my 42 inch smart TV to Cash America. The TV is less than a year old. In top condition and they said they could only let me borrow 60 bucks. The people behind the counter were rude. When I complained about the offer the girl told me "You can take it or you can always take it some where else". I do not have a car and walked 3 blocks from my house and needed the money really badly so I took it. But I will NEVER EVER go to Cash America again!!!!
