I had a frustrating experience at Build-A-Bear recently. While the concept is fun, the service left much to be desired. One employee, who I believe was disabled, seemed overwhelmed and unable to assist effectively. While I appreciate that everyone deserves a chance to work, it felt like the lack of support impacted the experience. There was a long wait, and my questions went unanswered. I hope the store provides better training and support for all able employees in the future.

Visited the store yesterday with my 6 year old. As expected the store was super busy. So as we waited in line to get the bear stuffed, I noticed 2 employees at the register talking, I continue to wait and noticed those two employees move to the front of the store and continued to talk. Because it was such a long line I went up and asked if either could help support the young lady stuffing the bears to bring the line down. One of the employees named Lee mentioned that the lady would be with me shortly and continued talking. Now I am in ear shot of the conversation I realized it was leisurely. As I continued to wait, the other employees stopped and said let me see what I can do and began to help with the line. Instead of supporting the line Lee then went to the back of the store. From a customer service perspective this was super disappointing inconsiderate and highly offensive. I would have left the store but I didn’t want to punish my 6 year old.

Weird to say that they have very rude eployees at this location since other locations ive been to is quite the opposite.

Today I was disappointed going into build a bear today. I was getting a bear for my niece and I seen that they had a deal 2 bears for 45 but it only was for the ones that had a red sign saying 2 for 45. So I got a T-Rex and oogie boogie because both had the red sign next to it. After building everything with sounds and all I went to pay and the lady at the cashier said the oogie boogie was not two for 45. She even went to look and saw the red sign saying it was and then asked someone if it was 2 for 45 and they said no and then took the red sign off and told me it's not. The cashier didn't offer for me to get another to do the 2 for 45 she just charged me for the one bear and packed it. But made me think they can just move the red sign anytime they want to say it not 2 for 45 once someone is up paying. I was very disappointed today.

The people that work there are very nice. They do their upmost to give you a wonderful experience. The store is clean.

Do not pay for expedited shipping. They will not ensure it's timely delivery or adequately address their failures with the delivery services they contract with. Guest services was no help.

Horrible experience in 09/09/24 We waiting for more than hour. The employees was very, very slow and pretty rude with the costumers.
I'm very religious and the lady force me to did the "ritual" when I said her "no", she told me, if you don't do it I can't sale to you the bear.

Totally Unnecessary!!!
It’s been maybe 5-10 yrs since I’ve visited last…so what happened to the kid friendly atmosphere?!?!
As we’re checking out, I gave the employee the tags to my nephew’s dinosaur. The employee said she still had to check him but I warned her not to take the dinosaur from him. She totally didn’t listen to me as the 2 yo screamed for his new dinosaur to be given back to him!!! Again, totally unnecessary…
*The employee could have asked one of us to lift him or move him as she checked we didn’t take anything else!!!
We had already patiently waited 45 min for the “bears” to be stuff… sadly, it’s already a miserable experience for all of us except for the 1 out of the 2 children.
Build a bear… keep the younger staff bc they were amazing, professional, & friendly!!! The two older staff sucked & apparently can’t handle the stress of the “rush hour”!!!

My eldest walked straight in this store and lectured me on all the latest cool stuffed animals available here. Great advertising!
The store was clean and organized. There was a steady stream of parents coming in with kids and kids walking away with new stuffies.
They have Sanrio Hello Kitty but not the Cinnamoroll that my daughter was looking for. They also have a nice Axolotl as well.

Usually the employees here are very nice and friendly. I went to get a birthday bear for my daughter and was getting her an axolotl we also got the birthday promo bear and unfortunately that was a mistake. There is a woman there who has the worst attitude ever, I don’t even know how she’s even at build a bear a place where there is kids and parents and I believe kindness and patience is crucial . We kept getting skipped and we’re getting skipped for the 3rd time and when I told her she got mad rolled her eyes and was completely nice and her attitude changed when she was helping a lady who was Caucasian like her . I always like to give people the benefit of doubt but you could clearly see the change from when she was interacting with me and the other lady….

This used to be our favorite place, but the angry bear-ista made it horrible for my kids. When kids (8&9 yrs olds), ask, "why is she so angry?" Then that means she's not even trying to hide her feelings, even with so many kids around! She was the most angry and unfriendly worker we have ever met at ANY Build-a-Bear! We will NEVER recommend going to this store again! We would rather take our business elsewhere rather than endure that mess again!

Horrible customer service...Jacqueline treated us with the worst attitude... it was our first time coming to the store and off course we don’t know much about the process , I explained to her that but she made fun of us while she explained the steps ☹️ she made the worst BIRTHDAY EXPERIENCE for my 14 yr old... whenever I ask her a question she keeps responding its only $14 however we ended up paying $30!! She failed to inform us that its extra cost for the sound and the smell , I wanted to cancel the whole thing so badly but didn’t want to ruin the day for my daughter.
If you don't like your job please leave this place for another kids friendly employee , you ruined the day for us and I hope you get treated the same way you treated us today!! Very disappointed, our first and last time visiting this store....
