DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM HERE!! My mom rented a car from here. She returned the vehicle with a full tank of gas, and she received an email receipt stating the gas tank was not full on return. So she was charged 45.95. A call to the company was wasteful.

It took us a pretty long time (about an hour) to get our car on the day before Thanksgiving even though the line was not very long. Once we got it, everything went smoothly and drop off was a breeze. We had a Chrysler Pacifica, and it was in great shape and worked really well for our family of four plus luggage.

Reserved a vehicle for 24 hours, one way from Houston to Arlington (Tx). The original reservation was for the lowest available car, economy class, and upon arrival I was offered the option of free upgrades, of either a truck or EV. Since I already own an EV (bolt) I decided to try the Tesla Model 3 offered.I am generally happy with the friendliness of staff, but my -2 stars are related to the lack of corporate training to help prep customers on operating an EV, about charging, paying for charging, etc. No information in writing was offered, and very little information at the pickup counter. Since it was an airport location, you basically pick up your car in a designated parking spot and go.I spent at least 10 minutes just orienting myself to the car, as most features were within the large touchscreen in the center. As a 56 year old who has driven my share of different vehicles,it was still a challenge. Even what the key looked like, how to use it, unlocking/locking the vehicle, etc. A 1 page primer would have been helpful.I've met a few people who rented EVs who were frustrated by their experience as I was. There should be a questionnaire to survey customers on their experience level with EVs, and adjust the information given as needed.Have a couple of staffers drive each EV for a week, and they should know enough to pass along key points to their customers.

I would rate this place zero stars if I could. They gave me a junky worn down vehicle during holiday travels with bad engine problems. The engine sound as of it were on the verge of blowing up at any moment and it was unsafe to drive. I was only in the rental for an hour, spent another hour on the phone with customer service to explain the problem and seek help. Their roadside assistance contractor finally came and towed the death trap vehicle away 6 hours after I reported the issue.A whole entire travel day wasted with Budget Avis and my holiday plans had to be altered signficantly because of their negligence. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. Especially around the holidays or special events in the town you're traveling to. They overbook reservations and will put customers in any car they can find on their lot even if it was previously taken out of service for needing repairs.

I had a fantastic experience renting from this company. The car had a few marks on it but the company handled the issue well. The customer service was exceptional, the car was om pristine condition, and the whole process was smooth and efficient. I highly recommend this rental car company to anyone looking for a hassle-free experience.

Budget! The worst car rental experience i ever had today. Long line! First we have been told 1 hour wait time later with the second announcement by the manager lady it updated to another more than 2 hours. After waiting 1 hour my Wife and I gave up and left the location. We missed our important legal consular appointment.

I reserved a compact car with Payless at IAH. I arrived & see signs saying Payless/Budget. After waiting in line, the lady gives me a slip of paper & said go out those doors & turn right. I walk around 30 mins & only saw Avis preferred signs. Asked employee, was sent to other side, asked 2 more people. Budget & Avis preferred are the same…no signs of that effect. Finally, got to right spot. Another girl was sitting in the vehicle..WHAT! We compared paper & indeed we were both assigned the same spot. After going back inside & getting another vehicle (Gray Ford Ecosport, Fl tags), I drove an hour out. The next day while sitting in the car, it starts twice on its own. The key was not in my pocket, but was laying on the seat. I lock it & pull handle & it opens right up. OKAY! I called Budget, was told to take the vehicle back to rental place. I’m an hour away & I’m on official business. I was transferred to roadside assistance, transferred again & then guy hung up on me. Now I see why the reviews are horrible . Poor customer service! I definitely will not rent from them again!

They only had electric vehicles left. I thought it would be ok,since they provided some sites to find charging stations. WRONG! I will never rent all electric again. I'd rather uber. The only viable charging station near area, I had to get up at 6am,to get there before someone else. Charging took bout 1hr 30min. Way better than the previous station, wasted 2hrs to get only 50miles added. I suggest hybrid, atleast you get the option to use gas. Dampened part of my stay,being stressed about finding a reliable charger.

BEWARE!!DO Not Rent from BUDGETI had to wait 3 hours, once I got through the line there were no cars. I was finally given another company vehicle that was broken.They refused to offer a new car, were not helpful, and would not put me through to a supervisor. DO NOT RENT FROM BUDGET

This is an embarrassing story. While I was riding the rental car shuttle to get my car - i noticed I had no reservation in my Budget app. I panicked.Probably I didn't complete the reservation a few weeks earlier. So, I made a new reservation on the shuttle.When I arrived, not expecting my car to be ready, the FastBreak dude said yep, your intermediate SUV is not available, take whatever you want. Wow. Grateful for the upgrade. Turns out I really needed a 7 seater when I arrived at my client.Way to go you all!

The car was fine. We were able to leave the hospital a day early to return home and were not permitted a credit for returning the car a day early. This is not only unfair, but enables Budget to profit by renting the car again and receiving 2 payments for the same day. Also, the website is very user-unfriendly. We cannot update our credit care information and the former ease we had using FastBreak has now become void. And, there is no recourse since customer service will not answer. We have been customers for over 25 years and this is very poor customer service.

Based on my experienced, I would not recommend this rental company to anyone. When I rented a car at the Houston Airport, Mrs Petra told me it would be around 199.00 for one day rental. I returned the car at Midland Texas because it was on the agreement, the receiving gentleman told me that the final price was 393.00 dollars. I was shocked and surprised because it went up almost 200.00 for one day. I asked him why so high since Mrs Petra at Houston airport told us it was 199.00. the gentleman responded that it was all the hidden fees. Are you sure that just in hidden fees was 200.00 extra? I asked him. He proudly said that was the way all rental companies work. This is my first time I was charged almost 400.00 for a rental for just one day. They didnt keep their word and of course i would not recommend this company to anybody

I had a reservation, reached to the airport on time to face a very long line, and only two employees trying to accommodate more than 50 people. I waited two hours and a half to get my car. I am so sad as I missed the family brunch.
