My husband and I have complained twice now about an older looking blonde-ish lady that works out front with the dogs at play time. She screams at them and sprays them with water bottles and they all huddle on the porch scared. I’ve seen the other workers with the dogs and they are so sweet to them. We have a dog and have been very interested in taking her here until we realized this lady still works there with these dogs. Seeing her treat them like that completely changed my mind on ever bringing my dog to this place. We even parked our car once after leaving the food places next door and rolled the windows down to watch her actions before we called the business and we both were so upset with what we saw

Great service and helped me out when I was running a bit late. Only con is price; they’re the best price in the area based on my evaluation, but pet boarding prices in this area have gotten quite high. Can’t blame them for raising their prices to match.

Our pup dances every morning when she realizes she’s going to Bone on the Bayou! We love how tired she is when she comes home :)

I haven't used this place yet. I walked in here to check it out. I couldn't help to notice there were no people of color here. Made me a bit uncomfortable. I just moved to the Heights area and notice the subtle racism. Hopefully thats not what is happening here. Although the looks I got made me feel so.

Overall Traumatic ExperienceI’ve waited awhile to post this, but it weighs heavy on my heart to think of other pet parents in the position I have been put in. Please do not give your business to this establishment. My dog had been coming here for a few play days and overnight boarding with no problems until an incident occurred. While she was at Bone on the Bayou she was bitten by a dog who the staff described in their own words as being an incompatible playmate in play group, yet said dog was allowed to remain in group play. When her ear would not stop bleeding the staff called her emergency contact to notify her that she would need to go to the vet for stitches, and the staff would be taking her. Over an hour later they called her back to say that my dog would need to be taken by my emergency contact and recommended VEG (one of the only groups still open on a Saturday afternoon). Additionally, they never sent photos of the injury to myself or my emergency contact, after each of us requesting and telling us both they were sending them. The communication was horrible. Not once have I been contacted via phone call by management or an owner. I had to leave two voicemails before even receiving an email. Bone on the Bayou refuses to give contact information for the owner of the dog who caused the damages, despite the client agreement only waiving liability of the establishment. They also have been reluctant to help facilitate communication between the dog owner and I. At this point I don’t even know if they have contacted them at all because of all the suspicious communication. I am only seeking recoupment of the cost for the emergency vet visit, I would truly even be happy with splitting. As a responsible dog owner, I would never expect someone to come $650 out of pocket for something caused by my pet (not to mention the boarding). My dog was so traumatized from the event that she had to be put under anesthesia so that she would remain calm for stitches. On top of all of this, they still charged my card for the two nights she stayed at the facility. Do yourself a favor, find a place that you can trust and you know will make sure dog(s) are looked after closely and make things right in the case of an incident. The emergency clinic told us that typically a reputable boarder would either pay for or help facilitate resolution. I still can’t believe this happened to us, I’m now so anxious to leave my dog in “professional” care that travel has become a nightmare. Also, please note I was requested to ask her emergency contacts to remove their own reviews, which were made of their own accord (they are also pet owners and were greatly disturbed at this situation). I did no such thing, as they had to deal with this staff on my behalf while I was out of country, and they were treated with the least amount of respect.

My dog Fynn has been coming to Bone on the Bayou for about a year and boy does he love it ! He literally leaves me at the gate when I drop him off. I know he is loved and taken care of there and the staff is extremely nice! Highly recommend!

My pups have been coming here since 2010 and they love it. We moved out of town back in 2020 but this is still the only place I trust when I have to board my dogs!!

My grandparents moved here 6 month ago, and they hadn't found a groomer for their dog (Chaparro), so I decided to book here, and they did a great job. My grandparents loved it, and he turned out so cute!!We'll definitely be bringing him here again.

I have a standard poodle and a spaniel mix and my pups are excited when they get dropped off. And when picking up from boarding they’re not exhausted and stinky like other places we’ve been to. We use their daycare, grooming, and boarding services. I was super pleased with their grooming recently. I tried to take one with our spaniel mix but he was too excited to sit still.

We board our three senior dogs here and they love it. They are always excited to go and exhausted when they get back. That makes for very happy owners. Their online portal makes booking easy and the texting response is excellent.
