I purchased hair treatment that was 1 year expired. I didn’t realize until a week after I purchased. How is this even possible? A year? Very disappointed.

I went in looking for a new foundation. Someone asked if had any questions so I explained what I needed and which brands I wanted to try. She handed me off to another clerk who was an "expert" in a specific line (not what I requested). The clerk asked me nothing about my skin, my needs or my goals. She opened a jar, put some on my face and said this is the best color for you. Didn't even take off my current makeup! I worked in cosmetics for 6 years and this is not how you help a customer find a product! I made an excuse and left.

Great experience with Stephanie today. She is very knowledgeable about the products and able to explain each item to me. I really like that when going to a high end skincare store. This was my first time visiting and I will definitely be back to see Stephanie again. :-)

First time there today and both employees were very nice and helpful to me. They let me try samples of the products I was interested in before spending so much money incase it didn't work for me. Would 100% come again.

This is the most uncomfortable shopping experience ever. The first time I went in, I wasn’t greeted nor helped so I walked out. Came back again yesterday on a rainy Friday around 4-5 pm to look for a gift for someone. This first girl was aggressive when she swatch some blush on me and was rushing me to pick something. Was getting impatient when I couldn’t make up my mind. Felt peer pressure. I said I didn’t like any of them. Then she proceeded to walked away from me. Then I asked a different lady with glasses for sheet mask and she showed me 2 different ones. She got disgusted when I was honest “I will choose that one because the other one looks yucky” which it is. Why would I spend money on dusty icky fuzz all over the product? Sorry y’all don’t clean. All the employees would just rather get back to their conversation. At the end, didn’t buy anything. This store doesn’t carry any brands I was looking for. This is worse than Ulta.

I love that BM carries my favorite luxury hair product! I won't tell you what it is because it was SOLD OUT everywhere!!!! One of their staff ordered my product from the different state and had it ship to their store to send to me! I never got around to stopping at the store to pick up my items! Free shipping! Yay! The faster way is to get the store they sought it from to ship it out of that specific store! Great sales strategy on their part! Luckily, I wasn't in a rush to get the products to me. Don't mind that approach so much... Don't shop online because points do not count the same way. They are super generous with their samples!!! They put so much of the same brand products in my shipment!! I appreciate that so much!!!! Just more ways to make me LOVE more of the brand!!

This was my first experience going into Bluemercury because they are the only physical store that seems to sell the brand that I was looking for. It is safe to say that I will not be visiting this store again. Thank god they have other stores in the Houston area. The employees at this store are utterly rude, and it seems as though I was not the only person left with this impression. When I was in the store alone, it was fine as they asked me if I was doing alright... that all ended when a white woman entered the store looking at more expensive products than myself. In the middle of me asking a worker a question, she left me standing to go follow the other woman to help instead (even though she showed no sign of needing assistance while I had to go up for help). I was absolutely baffled by this interaction. I guess the other worker in the store noticed I still had a question that had yet to be answered and helped me instead (she was trying to help, but it seemed like she would rather be doing something else). On top of this experience, the exact item I was looking for wasn't in the store so I had to spend even more money to get the larger size. I am disappointed that I had to pay double the price to a store that was this awful. Overall, Bluemercury as a company has many brands for you to select from that I liked to see... however you can catch me at another store enjoying the only facet of the store that I liked.

omg the best place to start or re start with your skin care. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable and they have a wide selection of products! Like a mini Sephora but better! I go here for all my skin/make up needs!

Luxury goods right next to whole foods! They carry Lune + Aster, Chantecaille, Jane Ardel, Dr. Barbra Strum, Augustinus Bader, and ReVive just to name a few. They even carry Oribe hair products and others in the same rage of quality. The service is friendly and and the beauty experts are so knowledgeable of the products! I usually have to go to the mall or my hair salon to find my shampoo, Not anymore! And do not like having to go to the mall just fo pick up mascara or an eye cream. So glad to have them in the neighborhood.

I have been a big fan of Bluemercury since I first visited a store in DC. The customer service has always been exceptional and the staff is always extremely knowledgeable, compared to other beauty stores. I'm in Houston for a few weeks and decided to visit the Bluemercury at Rice Village where I had a disappointing experience. I called this location instead and had the pleasure of meeting Amanda. The difference was night and day. If you're in Houston and need to get skincare, haircare or body products, please do yourself a favor, visit this location and ask for Amanda.

I love this store and the products- but the staff is so rude! They aren't helpful and they are mean to customers. Ownership should really look to find new staff.

im the only customer in the store with two sales associates they were talking about my purchase made rude and unwanted comments. i was there two years ago and still no changes in their attitude

This store is awesome lots of good products but the people they hire at this store are rude and unhappy not very helpful and encourage u not to buy the products in the store I suggest they hire all new STAFF
