I had a deeply disappointing and frustrating experience at this PNC Bank branch. Over the course of five separate visits, I was met with what I believe to be discriminatory treatment based on my nationality.
1. During my first visit, I was told that they needed to do verification before I could open an account.
2. On my second visit, they informed me that the colleague who handled verifications wasn’t available, so I’d have to go through the process all over again.
3. I made an appointment to try to resolve this, but the bank canceled it without notifying me. I only found out when I showed up and was told that the person I was supposed to meet wasn’t there.
4. I scheduled yet another appointment, only for it to be canceled without notice once again.
5. When I finally visited for the last time, it became clear that the delays and excuses were not legitimate but were discriminatory in nature.
This experience was not just inconvenient but also insulting. I feel strongly that I was treated differently because of my nationality, which is unacceptable. I would advise others to be cautious if they’re considering banking at this location.

The Branch Manager, Alfonso Velasquez, at this location is rude, disrespectful and hostile when challenged on the false info he spews out. I made an appointment for the afternoon. Something came up and I needed to change. I emailed my “banker”, no response. Stopped in hoping someone could help and saw 3 employees not with clients. The person I had appointment was busy which I understand, I showed up early. Was told to wait, should be 10 minutes. Was told by Alfonso, not asked, multiple times to have a seat because of “traffic”. I was out of the way and literally no one came in for 15 minutes. I had to leave and told Alfonso to let my banker know I would be back. Before leaving I asked if anyone else could’ve helped me with what I needed and was told yes but “they were all busy”. I looked around, no clients in the bank and asked “busy with who cause no one has come in for 15 minutes”. I asked if he as a branch manager could help and was told yes but he was busy. Alfonso tried to lecture me that they work on appointments, they were all busy and it was my fault for showing up early. I told Alfonso that “while I showed up early, no one was in the bank for 15 minutes so don’t lie to me and tell me people are busy when there is a client standing right in front of you that needs help”. As a manager if you can help someone that needs help and you have no one in front of you, just help…whatever project you think needed your attention was not that important since you had time to tell me to sit multiple times. Find a new manager for this place quick.

I went in to open a new business account in the Galleria location and while waiting there was a manager named Alfonso that was verbally abusing his employee (woman) so badly and unnecessarily disrespectfully that I left. It was clearly across any line of any business. I'm prior military so in no way am I bashful in command or giving orders in leadership positions but even there there is a point where someone crosses the line into clear abuse of power. After the exchange the PNC employee was left in tears. It was absolutely the worst most low disgusting abuse of power I've ever seen in a business setting and I'm so glad I did not give them my business. Alfonso needs to be careful he is flirting with lawsuit work place abuse territory and it would be wise to remove him before PNC has to deal with the fall out. You know it has to be bad when a potential customer complains about how an employee is being treated. Yes it was that bad.

The worst bank in the world. I have two business and a personal account with them. I just closed them all after over 30 years with Compass/BBVS?PNC. They have the worst service, a web interface from the early 90s that is completely unusable. Not to mention they bought BBVA and locked me out of all my accounts for months. Calling their customer service is the most horrible experience. The employees at the branch I have to say have been great, but the bank itself is the worst ever.
