Loved this place. The beer was awesome, the vibes were immaculate. Really chill place. I'd love to come back and have a nice beer sitting on the swings again.

Great place to listen to music. There are nights with live music. Pizza from next door is great but there are also food trucks.

Always a chill vibe nice place to have outdoor picnic. The mangonada is my go to and when Frank & Richard’s food truck is there count on having the best creole creations in Houston. ???
Axelrad, located off Alabama St, is about celebrating Houston, enjoying outdoors, and relaxing. Beer, cocktails, hammocks, music. Happy hour every day. Conceived as a gathering place for the community offering beer, wine, drinks, Luigi's pizza, live music, and a grove of hammocks, a nice place for couples & friends, axelrad aims to be a place for all. The bar is housed within a 100-year-old renovated building, originally a small grocery store built by David and Gertrude Axelrad. Adding to the historic interior are artist-made tap handles by Venezuelan-based Maria Rangel, seating by New Living's HTX Made, and textiles by Austin-based Nido.
