“I recently purchased several pieces of glass from this art store, and I’m extremely pleased with the quality. The glass is not only beautifully crafted but also perfectly clear, making it ideal for various art projects. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and went out of their way to ensure I had the best experience. I highly recommend this store for anyone looking for top-quality art supplies.”

“I've never done anything with Virtual Reality before. This is one of the coolest things I've ever done!
You're given a quick lesson on how VR works and made sure you can see what you are supposed to see.
Then you start walking. Which, for me, was weird because I was anticipating I was going to trip, even though we were told it's all flat surfaces.
You touch a floating orb, and you are transported into the International Space Station. Or outside the ISS and watching Earth below; recognizing countries you are traveling over. Seeing sunrises/sunsets from space. Seeing 'people' in the ISS, and they are explaining how things work. You continue walking and touching orbs that transport you to different areas.
You then sit down and watch two astronauts go outside the ISS to repair something, and you feel like you are right there with them.
I would love to do more VR stuff now!”
“This spot always has something neat to look at. I find a lot of my stocking stuffers for my adult children here. I can always find something here. I love seeing people's art”
“We always enjoy visiting the Silos Sawyer Yards studios. It’s an excellent place to find original art and meet the artist, share thoughts about their individual artistic passion. I went this last Saturday which was a special event. There was a lot of buzz around the galleries. There were several offering snacks, wine and even live music. I encourage all art lovers to visit the Silos at Sawyer Yards. It’s a great place to pass the time with friends, family, lovers etc. You will surely find something you’ll love.”
“Great art space with a lot of studios. Blue dog ceramics was great and has an awesome date night package. Both 4th wall theater and Coneman running theater put on fantastic shows!”
“Sawyer Yards is open every second Saturday of each month, and artists throughout the galleries open their doors to talk with those in attendance and sell their art. It's free to walk through and the gallery is extensive. Wonderful art on display of every kind imaginable.”
“I'm a Mason and these are some of the best people you will ever know. My wife and I were going home I told her I wish more black were as professional as them.”
“I recently had the privilege of visiting the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft, and I can confidently say that it was a mind-blowing, life-changing experience. As someone who previously had a limited understanding of craft, I was utterly amazed by the sheer diversity and creativity on display.
From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was captivated by the mesmerizing artwork that adorned the galleries. The conceptual pieces, in particular, left a profound impact, challenging my perceptions and igniting a newfound appreciation for the art form.
But beyond the breathtaking displays, the true highlight of my visit was the people-watching experience. The attendees were adorned in the most unique and avant-garde fashion choices, completely shattering any preconceived notions I had about the craft community. It was an inspiring and eye-opening revelation, reminding me that creativity and self-expression know no bounds.
I left the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft feeling deeply inspired and profoundly grateful for the opportunity to witness such a remarkable celebration of craft. This experience has undoubtedly transformed my perspective, and I cannot wait to return and immerse myself in the ever-evolving world of contemporary craft.
If you're seeking a truly transformative and unforgettable art experience, I cannot recommend the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft highly enough. It is a must-visit destination for anyone with a passion for creativity, innovation, and the boundless potential of the human spirit.”
“Carla was amazing to work with! We had a celebratory work event at her Gallery. It. was super easy to pay and the event ran smoothly. The bar section was an added plus, and it's gorgeous inside. Highly recommend booking for your next event.”
“Love this store! They have a wonderful selection of gifts for yourself or others. Goods include jewelry, candles and bath, pottery, cards, baby, stickers, art and much more. This is also a great spot to bring out of town guests for quality, locally made Houston or Texas mementoes. Highly recommend!”
“My adult daughter and I both love art and visited the gallery while in Houston for the day. We were greeted at the door by Mauricio who explained the layout and artists represented at the gallery. It was my daughter's birthday which happened to be the same day as Mauricio's so they began talking a bit. Mauricio is very personable and took an interest in learning more about my daughter's artwork and directed her to some pieces of similar media. We spent a few hours in the gallery and conversed with the staff about the different art on display and learned a lot about the artists from them. This was the best art gallery I have been to yet. The building and display of the artwork is beautiful with a peaceful inviting atmosphere. We were informed about the next exhibit and are planning to come back for it. This is a first class gallery in every way. Thank you again for a great experience.”
“Such a great company. I came in last minute needing a work framed and Greg was extremely kind and helpful. This place is a gem - prices are very reasonable and everything is great quality”

241 W 19th St, Houston“Walking into Casa Ramirez is like a blast from my past. If you are of Mexicano/Tejano heritage, you will definitely find something in here that relates to your childhood. Your abuelita and your parents definitely had some of these items floating around their house. I love to visit this place for the memories it brings but also to support a local business paying homage to authentic Mexicano/Tejano culture.
There is a vast selection of items from art work, cookware, home items, clothing, games and books. The service is good. They will mostly leave you alone to peruse the items but will occasionally make conversation with you and answer any questions you have.
Even if you are not familiar with Mexicano/Tejano culture, do not let that deter you from visiting this quaint gift shop. You may find exactly what you’re looking for.”

“I love the Reeves; coolest museum in downtown. They're always having an exhibition or some sort of event where people can come and not only look at and buy art, but also to meet the artists; like how neat is that?? There's nothing more heartwarming and clarifying than listening to the creator explain what their piece really means. The Reeves is such a special art gallery with pieces rotating every month. It's great to come by and look, buy art, and maybe even make a friend!”
“The Hub for high-end decor. Everything from rugs to furniture, lighting, and more. This space is also used as a venue. You can host events for over 300 guests here”
“Love to see moribund churches being repurposed into something beneficial to the community!!! When a friend had a play here, we jumped at the chance to come and show support! The place is still very much looking like a church on the outside (the sign is just a banner for now), but the space is very large and there are numerous bathrooms, which are both huge pluses! Our event had a bar and food for sale. The sound system was awesome! There were many volunteers to help, but getting in and getting tickets needed a bit of work. Overall we had a great time here & recommend the space for all sorts of events!”
“We saw their advertisement on Instagram and decided to go check out the gallery. I'm really glad that we went by because it was absolutely amazing. I'm shocked that we never heard about this place before. It made for a really good date night. We checked out the main attraction that we saw on Instagram but we also check out all of the other galleries as well. At least the ones that were open. The artist at the galleries were very friendly, and willing to tell us about their set up and everything they do. I had no idea this place has been here since the 1960s. We will definitely come back here in the future to check out more exhibits. I'm shocked and it's only $700 a month to rent a space. That's a really good deal. However, there's a five year waiting list which is quite long. So good luck with that.”
“Lee has been framing pictures for us since the 90's. He is professional, meticulous, and reasonable. You will love his attention to detail. Thank you Lee for your service!”

4411 Montrose Blvd UNIT 600, Houston“On my recent trip to Houston I visited several galleries to get an idea of what's happening in art there. In this gallery I had the great pleasure of meeting both the curator of their summer show and the gallery owner herself. In New York, gallerists and gallery workers ccannot typically be bothered with a visitor unless they have mountains of cash to spend on the art. My experience in the Barbara Davis gallery was very much the opposite. They were engaging and interesting and it resulted in a wandering conversation that touched on a number of things about both the art on view and collecting in general. If you're in Houston to see art, don't forget this stop. The work on the walls made an excellent case for Houston's art scene and, if you choose, you'll likely have some good discussion.”
“I came to the gallery to enquire about consigning a piece of artwork for a future auction. Mr. Simpson and his staff were most helpful and pleasant to deal with, very professional in every aspect. I feel confident in leaving my artwork there.”
“Forget the old "stand and stare" museum... this was an informative and INTERACTIVE museum! Especially enjoyed the "ride" on the bullet train with the sights I could see out the "windows"! And the Houston Honey tea was memorable!”
“I recently visited Off the Wall Gallery and it was an amazing experience. The art they had displayed were unique and intriguing. The staff was friendly and courteous. They stayed with our group to give us a brief history of some of the art and artists we were interested in. I highly recommend looking into this gallery if you are in the market”
“The Best experience I had trying to do different stuff beside clubs or bars all the time. I bought a art piece I swear I felt some kind of special ? ✨️ ☺️ Thanks for having me”
