I recently stayed at the this American Inn and here is my review. I like traveling cheap and motels are my go to when I'm out of town. Well I decided to stop and check in at this motel for a weekend. Now don't get me wrong I am fully aware of where this motel is located, but $65 a night for the condition the room was is a bit mind blowing. When I first entered the room, I could tell it was not properly cleaned. The floor was still dirty, the sofa was dirty, the tub walls still had soap scum on it, and hair in the tub. The bed and sheets are pretty soft, but the cigarette burns all over the very thin comforter is a complete turn off. When I pulled the sheets back, there was hair on the sheets under a made up bed. Now surprisingly there was no bed bugs! The room looked like it was worn down. Dirty walls, dirty doors, and windows. Dirty furniture full of cigarette burn stains. I guess the last person who rented the room was a dealer because 2 junkies knocked on my door after 12am. On the flip side the bed slept pretty good and I did have a key card. Ice machine is outside and kinda dirty. Honestly don't think it was worth $65 a night. This place looked like it had locals permanently living there.Not really a good place for travelers

The the employees was friendly. But the facilities need more attention. The cleaning of the common areas needs to be taken care of. Like the carpets in the rooms. The reception area was not suitable for receiving guests. They must have a storage area to store construction materials.

Room was dirty cigarette ashes all over the cover and sheets pulled back sheets and it was ashes and a cigarette butt in the bed.! Couch had green stuff all over it refrigerator didn’t work .!

Rooms are very very dirty. Bedsheets are dirty, as well as the whole room in general. Smoke detector was hanging by LITERAL wires. DO NOT STAY HERE. (only stay here if you want to look for something cheap.) horrible experience VERY DIRTY.

Honestly, just stayed at the Best Western and had guest and was still working. Came here today because it's closer to Memorial Hermann which I've been working remotely, and had a guest come over to complete some paperwork and received the most inhuman call to my room asking rudely how many people in the room. Of course, I said three because I didn't see the problem but nor did she explain neither. Screaming through the phone put them out and off course I did because I respect policies and procedures but I will not be back at all. Other than that room is average but for $65 in this area and with that customer service demeanor of the young lady in the office really needs a lot of work. About to finish my work and check out tomorrow and find a better place to reside closer to the hospital.
