Recently I was displaced by Hurricane Beryl. Juanita coordinated with an Americas Best in Austin where I was indefinitely to ensure my order of contacts was in stock and available for pick up! Thanks Juanita!

The staff was VERY unprofessional. The sales associate was without knowledge of the proper glasses or what the specifications of my prescription were. She also LIED about my paying for glasses. A HORRIBLE HORRIBLE experience. I would not do business with this company with a 100% discount. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!! ***UPDATE—-23SEP24, I am compelled to add this follow-up to my previous post; I went into the storefront on 20SEP24 to request a refund. Although I met the criteria according to store policy, the sales associate •informed” me he would only send a refund check to my home. My response was that I should receive a refund in the method of payment I provided. He said no and crossed his arms in the universal “standing my ground” position. I went back to the storefront on 23SEP24 to speak with a more senior and reasonable staff member. The reception and solution based response I received was “Night and Day” to my previous two visit, which compels me to share with the greater community that it is my opinion that the breakdown I received on the first two visits is clearly not the culture that on-site management/leadership hopes to foster with its customer-patients. Most likely the employees are unresponsive to the training they have received. Having a great HR partner on-site might be helpful, shoutout to my own HR partner at The University Of Texas, who has been pivotal in our recruiting, training and culture. While it’s difficult to “right a wrong”, a willingness to understand and address a breakdown are definitely hallmarks of a business worth giving a second chance or in my case a fourth chance. Thanks Ms. B.

I had a very pleasant experience.. Jessica was very nice and helpful at the front desk the doctor was understanding to my eye situation ashley also was helpful. The only bad part was the tech who finshed my glasses chose to deter from my prescription after going back and forth with him about frames and me being adamant on what i needed and wanted plus doctors orders for bifocals which is not his job..my glasses still came bck wrong and i will have to wait AGAIN! Overall i had a good experience!!

Absolutely enjoyed my experience. Olga was absolutely fantastic in helping me with a year supply of contacts through my insurance. The entire process of walking in, setting up an appointment, eye exam, contact lens fitting and eye glass selection was great as well. The entire staff made you feel like a valued customer in my opinion.

The only reason why I even gave them 3 stars is because I have been helped in the past by an awesome young lady named Jessica. Super helpful and nice. Today, I called because I needed to purchase my contacts and get temporaries. I called them before going and they told me they weren’t able to give me temporaries because the doctor wasn’t in. I explained that had no contacts and if I was to purchase my contacts from them I needed temporaries as I can’t see. She still said no and that it was their policy. I called a different location (the one on Silber) and they advised me they didn’t have a doctor either but there was no problem and I could come in to order the contacts and get temporaries. When I called them back and explained that the other location said they can do it, they told me every location is different. Even though the Silber location was further from me, I went there and they were so nice. Every single person was great. I will be going there from now on. If it wasn’t for them, I would have grabbed my prescription and ordered from a different place completely.

I just left America best, they are scam thieves, the glasses broke before the month, the treatment is terrible, they do not explain the procedure well to the users, it is the worst thing I have seen since I have been in this country, I do not recommend it to anyone with lucio pay honey and I don't have glasses ?????????

Thank you to Berchelle for her unwavering professionalism. She is the only reason I will not drive to any other America's Best even though there is one close to my home. She is always smiling anne, extremely knowledgeable about the company and helpful. People like her make customers like me loyal.

I handled this matter with the manager already, but I wanted to share my experience to keep from anyone else having to go through with it.If the technician in the prescreening process (BEFORE you see the doctor) tells you that any imagery or additional exam is required before seeing the doctor (that the doctor has NOT already explicitly asked for from you) those services are NOT REQUIRED. It is circular, but if the doctor needs something- you will go back to the prescreening tech and take the exam there and then go back to the doctor. I'm not sure if they are on commission or just lazy, but the tech had said that an additional $20 exam was required to proceed to get my prescription. This was a lie. I couldn't believe the phone call I received from the tech after I complained and asked for a refund- where she tried to convince me that I happily agreed to the terms and I was clearly not understanding the situation. Such a condescending response from an inquiry of why this service was presented as a requirement. Berchelle was the only polite and professional person (minus the eyeglass floor member who helped me with pick up- she was very nice) and refunded me. But this was not about the money. It was because the tech LIED. And I am very hesitant to call people liars because I think it speaks more on their character but clearly, she has none. Lying is an unethical business practice, and neither I nor my family will be returning to any of these establishments. Again, the matter was settled, but buyer beware!
