I love animals but unfortunately I can't have one of my own. I volunteered over there for one month. The staff were really nice, but the owner was mean and bitter which makes me quite.... Other then that it's a residential place. Beverly lives there with all the cats in her house it's pretty dirty and messy but the staff takes good care of the cats there.

These guys are amazing! They need help though. They’re in desperate need of donations or they’ll be closing soon.

The worst place to come just walking in the place is so weird and scary looking and the people in there don’t make you feel welcomed at all. Telling me oh no you don’t need a cat! ?

My 90 yr old mom adopted a cat from the county that was too young and too rambunctious for her. I was actually allowed to do a “cat swap” here, so now mom has the most lovable, gentle sweetheart as a companion! The owner was so helpful and concerned that mom got a cat that was a good fit for her, so Keanu is now Mom’s “favorite child” and Darryl had the chance to be adopted by the owner he so deserved. I am beyond grateful to Adopt A Cat, Inc. for working with mom and me, and I remain impressed by the level of care and love they show to their cats. If your world gets difficult and hard, you should go there and pet some kitty cats, consider leaving a donation for them, and WHO KNOWS, maybe fall in feline love.

Oh My Goodness the people at this place are AMAZING!!! We went to Harris County Shelter (not a great experience there), Montgomery County Shelter (they didn't have any cats), Conroe Shelter (they only had 4), then tried here (they had SO MANY!) And what was so great was you could tell how loved & well taken care of these cats are!!! They were expecting pets & rubs, the keepers knew their personalities & told us about each one & how or why they had their name. We just showed up between 10am-2pm. You go to the back door, there is a sign on the front door telling you to. Shut the gate before you enter to ensure all kitties won't escape ? Then you will be in kitty wonderland, to hopefully find your bestest new fur baby friend!!!

I adopted two Siamese twins yesterday! The person who showed my roommate and I around was so kind! As was Miss Beverly, the owner. Absolutely loving my time with my new kitties :)

This is the most horrible rescue. The owner, Beverly, definitely means well, but, in my opinion, she is not equipped to run this rescue. Her voicemail is full, so you can't leave a message. And when you do call, there is an automatic response of "please text me." And if she texts you back, you are lucky. But this is my story... About 3 weeks ago, Beverly graciously took on a 4-week old kitten I found with the agreement I would pay for all the medical expenses. I paid for an initial vet visit to reassure Beverly the kitten didn't have anything contagious and wasn't sick before taking him to her. I tried contacting Beverly for a solid week with no response, to set up the kitten's first set of shots. She finally returned my text and told me what times and days would be best for her to schedule the vet appointment, and that I would let her know when the appointment was. Meanwhile, there had been a few times where I would text to check on the kitten and she would not respond, or when she finally did, she was confused about what kitten I was referring to, giving me wrong information. I scheduled the appointment for tomorrow, July 20. On Sunday, July 16th, I attempted to contact Beverly again to notify her of the appointment and to acknowledge receipt of the information. She responded with "I got the message. You adopted him so the decision is yours to make." I then responded frantically with advising I didn't adopt him, explaining which kitten I was referring to, and questioned whether he was still there or not. I was in an absolute panic and never did receive a response. I then went to the rescue yesterday with the intent of taking him back and paying the adoption fee. When I got there, Beverly was not there, but a few volunteers were. The one I spoke with had no idea who I was talking about, showed her the texts confirming the appointment, etc. She then went to talk with another volunteer to see if she knew anything about the kitten. The original volunteer came back to me to tell me the kitten died 2 weeks ago, that one evening they noticed he had labored breathing, then when they checked on him the next morning, he was dead. They didn't try to get him help and let him suffocate to death. So, the volunteer that knew this information didn't come tell me and offer condolences, Beverly never contacted me to tell me he was having issues and could I take him to the emergency vet, which I absolutely would have done, because that was what I committed to. I am absolutely heartbroken that I trusted this "rescue" to care for a tiny baby, and in the end, they not only let him die, they didn't contact me to let me know. If you can't answer your voicemails to the point your voicemail is full and customers can't leave a message, then send an automatic response of "please text me" and not return texts in a timely manner, or at all, you don't need to be running a business, in my opinion. And if the cats in your care have fleas and you aren't able to provide emergency care to them when needed, you ABSOLUTELY don't need to be running a "rescue."
