I've lived in San Antonio all my life. I haven't been to The Alley for more than a few years . We decided to return to The Bread Box for lunch. Still great food and customer service. The menu is not extensive but the food is still top notch. You have more choices with the dessert menu and the bakery is very good. There are a few items that don't have as much sugar which is common in every dessert at other establishments.

You must visit The Alley on Bitters. There is food, chocolate, and a super cool store called Henry's. See Matthew and his son William for a friendly social event while shopping for most anything leather. A dad can always use a custom holster hand made by Mr. Henry. I happen to know you can find handcrafted items by Chapter One Soaps there, too.

Unfortunately it was a very hot afternoon so we did not stay to enjoy it. Picked up an engraving at the gift shop. Excellent engraver and craftsman. Then, picked out a chocolate at Casa.

Cutest shops, boutiques. This place has a London street feel with a spectacular restaurant called Bread Box. This is a perfect place for shopping and eating in the spring ??
