“Great way to start off 2024! We held our staff retreat at Gathering Oaks Retreat and loved it. The property was a perfect getaway for our group and had everything we needed and more! Our group enjoyed all of the fun outdoor spaces and activities that are available on the property. We also spotted a LOT of bird species (46) on the property during our birding treks. The rooms are spacious and luxurious for a country retreat and is very peaceful and clean. The caterer, recommended to us by management, was amazing and served up delicious meals for our stay. We highly recommend Gathering Oaks Retreat and our staff post-event survey came back with flying colors! That says it all! Thank you to the GO staff...they are so responsive and took care of our every need.”

“8-20-2023 Attended the Waco card show in the Brazos ballroom. No other events held this day. There was Limited street parking. However I learned There is a parking lot near the waterfall entrance. Unloading was quick and easy, under the covered circle drive up. Escalators and elevators available to get upstairs. Room temperature was good, restrooms on first level were all closed but the upstairs facilities were clean, stocked and available. Vending machine was nearby. Lots of Waco historical information and photos like the corridor from parking lot entrance. Right across the street you can see the Waco suspension bridge.”

“Nice place. However, they had the fireplaces burning and one needs to be vented through the roof and it wasn't. Smoke was everywhere. Got our closes Smoke smelling. We were there to meet the cast of The Waltons 70's TV series. It was a good setup.”
