storage unit is decent, but the area to move in and out of with truck and trailer is pretty difficult. the staff are friendly and helpful.

I would recommend this storage company for their costumers services but definitely not to storage your valuables. I have spoken to several different people about the infestation of the rats in my storage unit. I will say that each person that I’ve spoken to seems very nice and nobody has ever had an attitude or said anything disrespectful, but nobody is trying to do anything about my things and my mother’s things that are completely ruined by rats urinating, defecting, and eating on our things. This issue is very sensitive because my siblings and I lost our mother to COVID-19 in 2021. I expressed my concerns with the people I spoke to about things that could be changed at the storage company like trash dumpsters, the storage doors on the units, and just simply cleaning up the area because rats love trash, small holes and dark spaces. I was told that the company was purchased by a different person and they planned to do all of that. The storage company hired a company to replace the storage doors. I was told that the company would not be removing or move anything from the unit they would only be taking off the old doors and putting new doors up. I expressed my concerns about there being a lot of stuff in our unit and I was told that nothing would be in the way. I was also told that the entire thing would be recorded because of possible thefts. I gave my permission because even I knew the doors needed to be replaced. After the replacement of the doors I went to look at the storage unit, and boxes were opened, crushed, moved, smashed, and piled up in a way that was not neat like we placed them in the unit. I expressed my frustration that day about the company that replaced the doors. I asked to speak with a manager so I could review the recording. I’ve never seen the recording to this day and I was told that I couldn’t speak to anybody at the actually company because they didn’t speak English. The company they hired not only removed things from the storage unit without my permission they piled everything up like trash in the unit. Boxes that have fragile written on them are underneath storage containers that have heavy things in them like pots and pans. Probably the most unfortunate thing that has been said to me is you take of the inside of the unit and we will take of the outside of the unit. My thoughts to that were surly you don’t believe I brought rats with me when I put our thing's in this storage unit. If you taking care of the outside then our storage unit should not be infested with rats to be begin with. This company wants me to go thought this storage unit that is full of rat feces and urine. I researched possible effects side of humans breathing in rat feces and urine. My research stated that humans can get a deadly virus called Hantavirus disease, which is a lung disease that can be fatal even if it is treated properly. I do have insurance with this company for the storage that will only offer up to 2,000 dollars in damages. That really is a joke it’s a 4 bedroom 2 bathroom house in this storage unit and each room was full furnished. Two living room suits, two refrigerators, a washer and dryer, among other things. I am writing this review because I’m frustrated, and I would hate for anybody to be paying their hard earned money to this storage company to storage their valuables to just get it ruined by rats and door companies that miss handle property.

Do not go to this place they go up at least once every year, all I have seen in upgrades is some new paint and an app to use to get you in the door. It was way better when Tristar owned and ran it. Promise you will be sorry if you stay here longer than a year.

Not all heroes wear capes. Michael W., the maintenance man, was our hero the other night when we came by our unit with full cars hoping to unload and realized the tenant hours closed 13 minutes earlier! After we gave the main number a call, their maintenance man agreed to come after hours to help us out and open the gate so we could unload our vehicles which were packed FULL. Thank you, Michael!

Definitely recommend Tri star Hewitt, Texas. Management was very helpful and professional. Andrew was very proficient with answering all my question. I highly recommend this place, will continue to use them for my self storage needs.
