I can't speak to progam or most of the instructors, but I will say that the owner of this location has been extremely rude, even to go as far as to even admit it was intentional to be rude and to call me incompetent because I disagree with how he spoke to me. It was uncalled for. Frustrated or not, for him to be rude to me was unprofessional. I am not his student and I was not unkind or disrespectful toward him. I was picking up my children from school and because of the program my daughter is in, she is dismissed in the same area the after school program is dismissed to but 5 to 10 minutes prior to the end of the day. Because I have a 2 year old as well, its easier to park at the curb to have less worry of having to chase a 2 and 3 year old than the back of a parking lot. I'd have moved sooner however I asked that they dismiss my 5 year old to me as well so waited an extra couple minutes which is apparently too much of an inconvenience despite the children Not having been dismissed to them yet. If this is how I am treated visibly taking care of 3 children, I will certainly not be sending my children to him to see how he treats them.

I love the place. Great environment, amazing teachers, and an overall family friendly place. Teaches kid discipline and good values that they will keep with them and apply for the rest of their life, as well as teaching them karate and self defense to make sure they are well equipped for every situation. I have been going for almost a decade now, and let me tell you how happy I am to have decided to go here.

Terrific place for martial arts, instilling discipline, and having fun.!!With an award winning after school program as well as summer program, you can’t beat this Dojo.!Kids are rewarded for their successes and challenged to go even further.I can’t say enough how I’ve seen children come in super rowdy and without respect or self restraint and turn into respectful, future leaders.Highly recommended.!!

CTFK is an a terrific program to have your kids in. Respect and discipline are a key tool for children to become successful adults and it is first and forefront in this program. Sensei Bainton and all of the staff are very friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a fantastic summer camp or after school program check this place out!!

I love the discipline it instills in my kid, but the communication is TERRIBLE! Apparently the children are expected to be the communicator to the parents. We're on the email list, they have phone #s but our child just told us a VERY important, URGENT piece of info that we should have heard from them. They started out 100% by support, they're down to 60ish%. Raise prices, shrink availability, and other things. Getting pretty irritated.

The only place you should learn self defense and martial arts. Master Scott is the real deal. He has been doing it literally all his life. I have never had a Sensei more devoted and dedicated to his profession and his students. He can be hard on them, but that‘a only because he cares so much and wants to see everyone who comes to him succeed. And I mean REALLY succeed. One of the proudest things to me about attending the school for so long was seeing the All-American kids the students grew up to be.

This is a great place to learn Jiu-jitsu because the instructors are great. It is a good workout and the upper belts are always willing to give advice and help you get better. Central Texas Family Karate and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is also a great, fun place to work. Highly recommend this Martial Arts School!

There is only one place to learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in Waco Texas. This is that place. Black belt led classes. Good curriculum. Best place to roll in Waco.

Took my money, didn’t give him more then a week before calling me to say my son wasn’t the right fit for their program. I was never told about any issues before then. They refuse to refund any of the money. When I posted a review on Facebook the Sensei had the nerve to reply to my review disclosing private medical information going against Hyppa laws. He was very rude in person as well. Had I met him before signing my son up I would have never done it. That man should absolutely not be around any children. He is going to cause severe psychological damage. Please think before sending your child here especially if they are in any way sensitive. I feel horrible I aloud my son around him.
