I visited this place a few times over the summer and also went to the Watermelon festival in Hempstead Texas. I must say the service at this location was great. Everyone was nice and available to answer any questions about products. The location also sales beans, greens, and homemade jams. I bought a watermelon for my friend and two for myself. My friend was in town from Dallas. When he finally tasted it he told me it's the best and sweetest watermelon he ever had in Texas. They sell other fresh fruits and vegetables. This place is must try all year around. They have a loyal customer go check them out it's definitely worth the drive.

I drive to Hempstead often to shop for produce. Diiorio farms has a well stocked market. Hempstead melons are very tasty and Diiorio always has a great variety of their own farm grown melons. The shop also offers a wide assortment of canned fruits, jams and jellies which I often enjoy. The only negative with Diiorio is their pricing. They are expensive on their melons and produce. I can find their farm grown melons often at my HEB at 2/3 their price at their market. I do recommend their market however since it carries such a variety of merchandise and will continue to shop there going forward.

6.14.23 This is my first time coming to Diiorio's. I used Yelp's info. to navigate me there. It sent me the wrong way and to an empty field. Lol. So I called them and asked where they were located. (I sent in a request to fix it on Yelp) For those who need directions-it is across from a Walmart in Hempstead on 290 business. (750 US-290 BUS, Hempstead, TX 77445) I arrived and saw they sell a huge variety of plants & flowers. You know I love plants and flowers. I bought 2 baby cacti plants & 2 lavender plants for the backyard. Keep your fingers crossed that I can keep them happy and healthy. Now onto the fruits and veggies. If you have never tried a yellow meat watermelon you are missing OUT! They are so sweet and delicious. Hempstead yellow meat watermelon are fantastic. Give them a try! They have just about every veggie you might want and then some. I have never seen a yellow zucchini before so I bought a few to try. (See photo) And for fruits - they have some great looking strawberries, watermelon (huge ones too), apples and more. I bought just a few veggies and fruits today. I did not want to over buy. There was a large selection of jams, jellies and spread. They also carry metal yard decor and ceramic pots. I even saw a really nice wood swing for a patio or backyard. Almost forgot they have a florist here too! (Flowers, candles etc...) This is a must stop. They are a family owned and operated business. So please shop the mom & pop shops. (Look at all the photos I added-you will love them)

We were on our way to Brehnam when we decided to stop by this lovely farmers market. It seems small but there is so much inside. Everything from chamoy gummy bears to fresh squash and giant pumpkins.. you can't go wrong with freshly picked veggies and fruit picked from a farm. The only downfall is you will pay the price. While you are getting fresh and farm raised items, you will be making somewhat of a dent in your wallet compared to just going to your grocery store down the street. So many items are well worth it though! Some of the best dried mango with chamoy I have ever had. And some of the LARGEST PUMPKINS I have ever seen. Until next time!:)

Always a great time at the Austin country flea market!! Gets pretty crowded on Sundays but still love the live music, good food & local vendors. You never know what you're gonna find here!

came to this place for the first time today (Sunday around 12:00pm) since it was only about a 15 minute drive from my place in north austin. Overall, it was something fun that got us out of the house for a few hours, but completely different then what I was expecting! Pros: * cheap parking. You pay $2 when you pull in and can park anywhere. Huge lot so finding a spot shouldn't be an issue. * lots of food and drink options. Margaritas $2.50, funnel cakes $5.00, turkey legs $10, sausage, tacos, elote, etc. * great atmosphere - live music when we came around 12:00 PM Cons: * not much to do/ lots of stand options- most had the same selections of items (cowboy boots/hats, gardening supplies & tools, bread/fruit) Overall giving this place a 3/5 due to the lack of stand selection, but still a fun place to spend a few hours outside and not break the bank.
