“Nice little shop. The owner is fun to talk to and is willing to answer any questions you have about what’s going on in the area. One of the few shops that were open on a Friday afternoon. Go figure.”
“Went here with my girlfriend to get our ears pierced and had a great experience! We were helped by Xene, who was so nice and very knowledgeable ☺️ We came in late without an appointment and they still fit us in before closing. My piercings had healed over multiple times in the past, or so I thought, but she told me they were actually still open!! She helped me to stretch the piercing and get some new earrings. In the end I was only charged for the earrings, not the piercing service even though she helped so much. All the other staff we talked to were friendly as well, if you want new piercings, come here!!!

Despite this being a small service item, I was met by Emily, and was treated as if I was the most important customer of the day. She was friendly, helpful, professional and arranged for the service. The watch was promised back in 3 to 5 days and it was repaired and ready in that time. At pick up, again staff was very friendly, helpful and professional. What a great feeling to go in for a small item in a high budget store and to be treated as if you were , buying the big items. I’ll be back.”

Rio explained the whole process to me in depth so I knew what was going on start to finish. He answered all my questions and concerns thoroughly with zero hesitation which made me feel so at ease with the process too! I can’t remember our nurses name but she did such an amazing job! Perfect line up of the earrings and was great with handling a nervous 6 yr old. Told and showed my daughter exactly what she was doing which made her feel at ease as much as possible too. “Hi folk, I had the perfect experience at Corey’s Fine Jewelry today before they closed at 2:00pm. I forgot to get the gentleman’s name, but he exceeded my expectations. I read that (Forbes) the Dollar General, I believe, bought everything for $0.60 then, to buy food, like we all need, they sell everything for a 40% profit for $1. So folk I went in with my gold and silver (and I kept the certification papers and gave them to this gentleman (gold paper), and I made it to where he could make a 40% return so the man could buy some food! I got food money, he got food money, a delightful experience.”

“12 Jun 2023We nearly always come here for watch battery replacements and minor jewelry repairs. We have never made a major purchase. They stock and sell rings, necklaces and watches. Big on Citizen Eco. They can be depended on to replace watch batteries while you wait for a reasonable price in almost any watch. Once they were hesitant to replace the battery in one of my Tags, because the battery had to be ordered. I've had a gold necklace clasp changed to a lobster-style clasp. They did a nice job, not damaging the necklace. Give them a try.”

“The ice maker on my KitchenAid refrigerator stopped working, so I gave Hugo Ortega a call. I was asked to send photos of the refrigerator model number, the face of the fridge, and of the ice maker itself. The text I received indicated that yes, Mr. Ortega does work on that unit, and a service call was scheduled two days hence. As it turns out, Hugo Ortega did not appear for the service call, but rather his son Tim. It seems that the father, Hugo, tends to work primarily on washer/dryer, and Tim deals with refrigerators and dishwashers. (They are both able to work on any of the appliances, but they have their particular interests, according to Tim). Personable and polite, Tim went through his diagnostics, explaining as he proceeded, and determined that the problem was the ice maker's motor. And.. he has a Kitchenaid ice maker on his truck. But here is where it gets a bit interesting. It seems that the icemakers on this brand can be different: some sit on the side of the freezer, some sit in the center of the freezer...and one is not an exact "bolt In" for the other. He stocked the side fitting unit, and I have the centrally sitting unit. So what Tim did was dismantle his unit, and used the parts to fit on the chassis of my unit. As he nimbly disassembled and reassembled the units, I was reminded of a scene in "The Good, The Bad and the Ugly", in which Tuco takes apart several revolvers, and knew which parts would fit the chassis of his new revolver. WOW. DOUBLE WOW! With the unit now working as new...which essentially it was...I realized this young man definitely knows his refrigerators!! But the story gets better. I asked if he works on Jennair Downdraft glass stove tops, as one of my burners was not working. He doesn't really service these units, but he went through an online parts manual, and given the symptoms I described, he told of three possible defects...and he listed the parts numbers and the suggested prices for the parts. I was pretty impressed with his efforts for an appliance he doesn't work on! So can I recommend the Ortegas for appliance repair? Definitely! They are my "go to" repairmen now!! Good Luck Yelpers”
