I have been awaiting answers from my HOA for months. The president of the association stonewalls me and the management company, Hill Country, does the same.
The pictured email was sent after I’ve had a question outstanding with them for 2 months.
In an HOA Board meeting, I asked the president what was the rationale the BOD used to overrule an ARC denial of something clearly not allowed by our CCRs.
The president appeared to not down a note and said they’d have to get back to me by email later.
Weeks went by and I didn’t hear a word.
Then the Association sent me a violation notice that was wrong on many levels, including that it threatened a fine for something the Association can’t fine me for.
I replied and again demanded to know why they made the decision they did and I let them know that irrespective of the decision, it was made in violation of TPC 209.0051 because the BOD voted in a secret meeting not announced to the Members.
After 2 weeks of daily emails, I finally received a response asking what was my question that the president noted down and said they would get back to me.
I decided to wait until the next board meeting to talk since everyone is stonewalling me.
I asked my question again. Hill Country says they don’t have records about why the decision was made (WHAT!?!? aren’t they the record keepers??) and I’d have to ask the BOD. The president claimed he couldn’t remember.
I replied to the email saying I wanted answers and every issue I’d raised to be addressed.
They sent this email.
They’ve had MONTHS to consider. It shouldn’t take this long.
Hill Country Homeowners Association Management is incompetent.
If zero stars were an option, that’s what they’ve earned.
Don’t waste your time or money with these people who live like leaches on the fact that every community in San Antonio has an HOA.
These people are bottom feeders who have found a way to make money while adding no value to society.

Very nit picking, especially on vets. Yet everyone that's involved in the HOA group can do whatever they like, like overgrown bushes and exc.

They send notices for every micro misdeed that you can think of. If your grass is an inch too long they will send a notice and a fine. If you have a roll of tape in your driveway that you forgot to pickup they will send a notice and fine for that as well. It's laughable to see people that don't have much to do with their lives try to micromanage and control people they don't know. It's a power game.

Zero accountability from this organization. Payment was made to group of lots owned by multiple owners in one family. 2023 HOA assessments were paid in the same manner in which they'd been paid for nearly two decades, they were paid on time and in full. This time, for one reason or another, a lot number didn't appear in the memo line. We as property owners assumed no issues as our $X.XX check had posted and cleared our bank. Since the intended balance was for 5 properties, the mgmt. company applied it 4, leaving on property with a positive balance and one with a negative balance. Seems innocent enough of a clerical error. Unfortunately we were NEVER TOLD THERE WAS A POSITIVE OR NEGATIVE BALANCE.Nope, they applied arbitrarily to one individual lot. This becomes an issue when they then send your assessment to collections, never ever notifying the owner of the lot (me) that payment didn't get applied to it. They waited 8 months instead, still didn't make any effort to contact me or any of the owners of the lots at any time we had any balance related concerns. The collections company notified me for the first time I was in arrears. Upon providing a simple explanation of what seems to be a clerical mistake and a request for some compassion (since they did have my money already, just in the wrong spot) per the Hill Country Homeowners Association Management, "The original creditor stands by their decision to pursue collections. You are due the balance for the property and the associated collection fees". Thanks @ Hill Country Homeowners Association for never contacting me to tell me I still owed you money, even though I'd paid it already. Thanks for not operating as human beings, thanks for operating without any shared accountability, it truly provides me with zero confidence that your organization is responsible for the wellbeing of a neighborhood in which I own property.*in response to the owners original response: Thank you for resounding. I acknowledge the mistake regarding the lots numbers. You didnt do anything illegal as it goes for business practice, let me clarify that (to my knowledge). My review is simply for the fact that your practices of doing business don't align with a self proclaimed family run company. You're right, you couldn't have known, but a simple bit of research after the fact could have cleared up the scenario. Ive paid in full to your collections company. I'm no longer disputing that, you already notified me of your decision. My review is for the fact you decided to penalize me and continue with collections when this could have simply been resolved with correspondence. There is zero record of any correspondence that you cited "You were notified on multiple occasions via mail, email and certified letter". This is where my real issues is, you did not and you cannot or will not provide proof*

This company is absolute garbage, just like many other people have mentioned! I am pretty sure they just get our money as they are also increasing the amount every year! I have contacted them more than 10 times about the parking violations happening in our neighborhood! They do NOTHING! Just like so many people have said!

I must say, the HOA is exceptional! The agents go above and beyond to provide assistance in any situation. I've had multiple dealings with them in the past, but my recent interaction with Sierra Valdez left a lasting impact, prompting me to write this review. As a resident of Mustang Valley, I encountered an issue with one of my neighbors, and Ms. Valdez displayed incredible kindness and support, addressing my concerns with great care and effectiveness. I truly appreciate her outstanding service and the dedication of the entire HOA team.

Been trying to get a hold of Michael or Jennifer... It's been months and not a return phone call or email. As an HOA Board Member not getting a hold of them, I can imagine what a homeowner has to go thru.

Worst HOA in San Antonio. I made a payment of $100 four weeks ago to pay for the hoa and called today to make sure they got the payment; even though I have a copy of the money order showing that I paid they wanted me to pay again through the phone. This is outrageous. This company will keep adding extra charges to your regular bill without even give you an in time notice. Screw you.

Bad management. They never send me a notice of HOA fee on my e-mail, but sent my HOA bill to collections. Then when I request proof of notification, they told me that they send the notices to my husbands e-mail that has been death for over two years, but constantly sends insignificant e-mail to my e-mail account.

The worst HOA in San Antonio! Jessica Perez and her assistant are the worst and the most arrogant people I encountered. Including the Angela from Mac Arthur townhomes which has no life other than bit(#in for everything but nor the HOA or her fix the hood all dirty, no signs, people fixing cars for weeks in the visitors area and bullets everywhere.

UPDATE: I called as instructed in the comment. They did give me 20 days to sod the area. The thing is we are in a historic draught. Everyone has dead patches unless the violated SAWS water resteictions. Also they did not have an answer to how to grow sod in the middle of a historic draught. Absolutely ridiculous because they can't even give a solution to the issue except sod your yard. Literally just a cash grab! Lawyers should get involved.Original: They fine for things that are not real to pad there own wallets. Ridiculous company. Do not buy a house in this area. Received violation for uncut grass. I then got a second warning to sod dead areas. Two completely different things... Do I have dead grass or do I need to sod? They did not have an answer.

I find your company totally unsatisfactory!! I never received an invoice for last years HOA dues - you confirmed that it was not sent to my Mailing address and then turned it over to the collection agency. The collection agency had no problem contacting me and charging outrageous charges. I did find them very helpful, but not your office. Everyone including every realtor in San Antonio seems to know my mailing address and phone # except for YOU! I have tried to establish my email account to ensure I receive this years statement and when trying to confirm - as instructed is keeps stating there is an "Accounting System Error"???? Please make sure you have my address as P O BOX 124 Port Aransas, TX 78373. Also, i agree with others that there are no services - so what are the charges for?
