“The Helotes Lions Club is a great organization serving the community. Most know of the Lions Club through their work in helping people with vision testing, gaining low cost glasses, collecting glasses to be re-used with new prescription lenses, and medical research to cure blindness. But, they also have the global causes of diabetes, hunger, the environment, childhood cancer, and support local Helotes community needs. Money for such causes comes from public donations, businesses, and local club activities and events. For example, the Helotes Lions Club has a weekly bingo activity which is fun and popular with the local community, and serves to support charity. As to membership in the Helotes Lions Club, anyone can apply to join the Lions Club. It has a very low cost fee and then they too can be a leader/helper to improve their community and make a difference in people's lives. I would describe the Lions Club as a 'service above self' non-profit charity organization.”

“Lorenzo W. was a great instructor. I really learned a lot from this course. It wasn’t very expensive, and it was easy to sign up and attend class on Zoom. This program allowed me to have a positive outcome, from a seemingly hopeless situation.”

“I called in to ask if my Y membership from WA would work at this Y. Jeremy looked me up in the system and let me know that it does. He was so pleasant and didn’t make me feel bad for asking all kinds of questions about the pool and how to get my husband in that isn’t on my membership. Great customer service!”

“UPDATE: I received my Valentine's heart from Willie in the mail today. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! The photos included were so wonderful! Got everything framed and arranged on my wall by my bed so I can say good morning/goodnight to Willie. The smile in his photo just warms my heart and I embrace the love I feel for this guy! Thank you so much Brooke! Your handwritten letter/message was so sweet! I'm envious that you get to work so closely with Willie. It would be a true honor if I got the chance to meet him one day. Thank you again to everyone at PPI for your dedication to keeping these babies safe and healthy! I'll be making another donation soon so they can have a party!!!!So incredibly excited to have found this Sanctuary! As a lover of chimpanzees from the time I was very young, my love has only grown over time. I received my custom painting from Willie this week and was so filled with happiness. I immediately ordered a Valentine's heart to add with it. Willie, who I knew as Virgil growing up, was the chimp that I first fell in love with. Such a sweet face and great personality! What's not to love?! I was happy to search online to find that he is alive and doing well in the hands of his caretakers at PPI. What a great organization you have!I'm not sure if you have tours or volunteer opportunities in regards to the chimpanzees, but it would be a DREAM to be able to take time off of work to come down to your Sanctuary and pitch in to contribute to your organization. I hope to hear from you soon about possible opportunities!Thank you for everything you do for all of the animals you care for!”

“While I was sitting in the parking lot waiting for this store to open I started reading reviews. I was intrigued by one review that stated when they opened up you needed to run not walk because of the beautiful items that they have in this store. This review was really on point. I had my cart filled to the top. We are here in San Antonio visiting our baby daughter and grandson. We definitely will visit this store again”

“Goodwill is good for getting most items a family may need on a budget. It's donated goods in clean working order so inventory can be random. However I have found nearly new small cooking pots, a Ryobi Router for $14 with case valued at nearly $100 and it works perfect.

If you need to get off your feet and on a budget you can find most things. Donations of goods and resellable items go to stores and the money goes
towards opening new stores which creates .ore jobs.

They also have free employment services at some locations as well as a small school for Truck driving and nursing.

When my dad passed away, we kept what we wanted but had loads of furniture and household items in great shape so donated it all. I hope it helps a family in need. Good Job! Goodwill.”
