“This place is absolutely awesome!!! Ms. Kellie is always available and courteous. Commander Cortes and the DAV are amazing in their service to veterans and their families.”
“I have become partially handicapped and I can’t work. Project Mend is an amazing company and has helped me more than once. The staff was very friendly an helpful. I recommend them for anyone needing help.”
“Love the YMCAs in San Antonio! I always feel welcome at the YMCA at O.P. Schnabel and have made a lot of friends here since becoming a member about four years ago. The group exercise classes are great and the selection of youth activities is good also. Has been a wonderful place for my whole family.”
“I've never been inside the Clubhouse during operation hours. But I hear great things about it from the people I know who go there. I like the building and the stuff I see within.”
“Lorenzo W. was a great instructor. I really learned a lot from this course. It wasn’t very expensive, and it was easy to sign up and attend class on Zoom. This program allowed me to have a positive outcome, from a seemingly hopeless situation.”
“I love this place. It's so clean and the employees here are incredibly welcoming and helpful. I felt safe coming here any time as a single female . locker rooms are clean and pool area is really nice. pool does get a little crowded sometimes tho so make sure you swim at times where it's not busy. I love that they enforce a no recording policy, it makes me and other gym goers feel safe!”
“Great Lodge with fantastic members. Wednesday burger night is great as is Sunday football. Don't be fooled by the chill exterior. The interior has a recent renovation and wonderful feel. Great for weddings, receptions, family gatherings or any other community functions. I recommend and will return.”
“I can’t say enough great things about the team and families! This is an incredible organization raising funds for research and supporting families of individuals with chromosome 18 abnormalities. They are the best!”
“I always have a good to great experience with the Humane Society. What a great organization, and they have always done a great job S/N ferals or strays I bring in the clinic. No deaths, on my watch, which I appreciate. They're organized and, in my opinion, have it together and take good care. Thank you!”
“UPDATE: I received my Valentine's heart from Willie in the mail today. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! The photos included were so wonderful! Got everything framed and arranged on my wall by my bed so I can say good morning/goodnight to Willie. The smile in his photo just warms my heart and I embrace the love I feel for this guy! Thank you so much Brooke! Your handwritten letter/message was so sweet! I'm envious that you get to work so closely with Willie. It would be a true honor if I got the chance to meet him one day. Thank you again to everyone at PPI for your dedication to keeping these babies safe and healthy! I'll be making another donation soon so they can have a party!!!!So incredibly excited to have found this Sanctuary! As a lover of chimpanzees from the time I was very young, my love has only grown over time. I received my custom painting from Willie this week and was so filled with happiness. I immediately ordered a Valentine's heart to add with it. Willie, who I knew as Virgil growing up, was the chimp that I first fell in love with. Such a sweet face and great personality! What's not to love?! I was happy to search online to find that he is alive and doing well in the hands of his caretakers at PPI. What a great organization you have!I'm not sure if you have tours or volunteer opportunities in regards to the chimpanzees, but it would be a DREAM to be able to take time off of work to come down to your Sanctuary and pitch in to contribute to your organization. I hope to hear from you soon about possible opportunities!Thank you for everything you do for all of the animals you care for!”
“The whole crew and staff are amazing. Everyone went above and beyond to support us and care for us from food to laundry to toiletries. Everything was extremely a blessing what I could ever imagine!!”
“CyberTexas has significantly impacted my transition from healthcare to the cybersecurity industry. I truly appreciate and admire the invaluable work they do within our community.”
“As an Active duty Soldier, I love that Paws for purple hearts have trainings that involve us. I love being able to go and learn how to train service dogs and also feel relief by doing it. The staff are all amazing. I had a chance to meet Dani, Jenny, Erica, and Bella and they are so amazing to do such a talented job and share the experience with the Soldiers. Thank you”
“Love this goodwill location! I was taking my in-laws here today and Janie helped me at the register, she was so lovely and made my experience there better. She made a good representation of San Antonio.”

“I came here to donate some clothes accidentally threw my soccer coach shirt in there came back an hour later and told Seth about it he went through all the bins of clothes until we found it. THATS GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!”
“Ms. Mendiola is the best. This program was unfortunate to have to take, but I learned a lot even though it was a lot to take in. I needed to hear everything and learn what I learned and the environment made it a safe place to do so.”
“It was such a pleasure having my experience for the first time here at this location. The staff is very welcoming and knowledgeable and you can tell there's a lot of love for all the fur babies. Thank you all for what you do!”
“Goodwill is good for getting most items a family may need on a budget. It's donated goods in clean working order so inventory can be random. However I have found nearly new small cooking pots, a Ryobi Router for $14 with case valued at nearly $100 and it works perfect.
If you need to get off your feet and on a budget you can find most things. Donations of goods and resellable items go to stores and the money goes
towards opening new stores which creates .ore jobs.
They also have free employment services at some locations as well as a small school for Truck driving and nursing.
When my dad passed away, we kept what we wanted but had loads of furniture and household items in great shape so donated it all. I hope it helps a family in need. Good Job! Goodwill.”
“I usually have a good time whenever I go to this goodwill. There’s always so many cool things the people are always friendly except for Carmen C today. She not only made it uncomfortable and annoying while checking out she made unnecessary comments while scanning items. She kept scanning the same items over and over again making it seem like we were trying to hide the items she had already scanned??? She then proceeded to ask her manager to check the item that it wasn’t scanning since she already SCANNED THE ITEM I even told her it’s the same item she scanned on the screen. She literally told us in the beginning you CANT scan an item twice she then said never mind to the manager I’m assuming and proceeded to ask us if we wanted the item? Like hello? Isn’t that why we are buying it? She was just unpleasant overall. She made it seem like we stole an item we payed for. It’s a literal goodwill why would I steal something from GOODWILL. Besides that it’s always a fun goodwill they just act like they’re a actual store and put outrageous prices on things when it’s literally donated. Like who’s going to pay $50 for some busted shoes?”
“The Helotes Lions Club is a great organization serving the community. Most know of the Lions Club through their work in helping people with vision testing, gaining low cost glasses, collecting glasses to be re-used with new prescription lenses, and medical research to cure blindness. But, they also have the global causes of diabetes, hunger, the environment, childhood cancer, and support local Helotes community needs. Money for such causes comes from public donations, businesses, and local club activities and events. For example, the Helotes Lions Club has a weekly bingo activity which is fun and popular with the local community, and serves to support charity. As to membership in the Helotes Lions Club, anyone can apply to join the Lions Club. It has a very low cost fee and then they too can be a leader/helper to improve their community and make a difference in people's lives. I would describe the Lions Club as a 'service above self' non-profit charity organization.”
