Firstly, I give 5 star rating to Juan Gonzalez for the exceptional customer service he provided to me and my parents when we added 2 extra lines to my account a week ago. He was very patient and walked us through every step of the process until completion. Mind you, my parents are elderly (they look young but they are almost 80) and didn’t even remember their email accounts nor are tech savvy and we had to work all those details out. Juan was very professional and polite and above all understanding. He didn’t make my parents feel like they were a nuisance for not knowing.
Fast forward a week, today 3/24, my parents needed help with two tasks on their phones since the new phones are not exactly the same. I am not in town and could not help them. They felt comfortable with the prior service provided that they decided to go ask at the store. The customer service rep that tried to help them was a lady and I don’t have her name. However, I will say that my parents left the store feeling embarrassed and without the help they needed. In short, they were told that a $30 fee would be charged for teaching them how to use the phone if it was unrelated to a purchase or phone problem. The service rep briefly (for free) show how to do one task before she told them about the fee but she did it so fast they couldn’t even tell what she pressed. My mom felt so bad that she didn’t even want to ask her one question. They both left the store and do not want to go back.
Two simple questions: 1) attach photo to a text (not the same process as old phone) 2) screen capture is not working when the two buttons are pressed. It just doesn’t work.
Yes, it may sound simple to us but it is not for them. They were used to their 5 year old phones and this new phone is a huge change and a bit of understanding from the representative would have gone a long way. They were not asking for a whole class on how to use a phone. Yes, they could have paid the fee to be taught in depth material but not after the treatment they received.

My grandpa went in trying to get a hotspot device for the house, but the sales person took it upon himself to suggest a phone upgrade instead. Now my grandpa has no internet for his tv and an increased bill due to the new phone. I don’t recommend speaking with these sales reps. (Fernando was the Rep helping him)

If you have Verizon in the valley, then you already know the service is terrible. It’s a shame that the customer service here has to be also. Employees are solely interested in getting their commission and nothing else. Nearly every experience here has been a negative one. Employees are rude, incompetent, and will tell you pretty much anything to get you to buy terrible products so they can get their cut. Only had Verizon in the first place because I moved here from out of state where they have more than one tower. Don’t bother with the service or this awful location.
