We booked a room for 3 nights but got stuck overnight in a layover in Dallas due to a storm. I called the hotel and let them know that we would not be able to check in on the first day but that we would be there the following afternoon. They said they would take care of it. They then cancelled our reservation without notice and as of yet have only offered a partial refund. When attempting to rebook for the same nights, their rates suddenly skyrocketed and they refused to honor the former rate. The receptionist continually had to call her manager and blame "the system" for our woes and did not offer an apology because she had no idea how to handle this situation. Not only will I never stay in this hotel again, I don't think I will ever attempt to stay in another Marriott because this was such a terrible experience.

Residence Inn by Marriott Harlingen delivered on all expectations! Clean and well maintained rooms made for a good nights sleep and and ample well lit work space made planning and check listing a breeze! I especially enjoyed the garden court fire pit where guests mingle over a beverage and a smoking area for convenient for an after dinner cigar.

It is very cleans and spacious! Our room came with a small kitchen. I would stay there again if I came back to this town.

But for the lack of public ice machines, this place typically Marriott great.The front desk will gladly fetch you some ice from the galley.

Couldn't sleep. Upstairs room I think they kept towels and room supplies. 3 nights of living Hell. Great shower. Toilet seems like a child's potty it was so small. Room was a decent size. Food was trash.

I have to admit of the friendly staff. Though we were not able to check in our room on time because our room wasn't ready. The room itself was okay toilet holder was hanging, had a hard time getting the shower head to work because the pull know was corroded.My grandchildren were not even able to enjoy the pool as they were complaining of too much chlorine. On Sunday morning I found a huge roach kicking ? I hate roaches. Breakfast was okay ?the waffle batter was as thin as water not to mention the orange juice too.Then I booked an event room and was quoted a verbal price over the phone and was charged a different price, according to the front desk clerk a contract was to have been signed and there was no contract. I most definitely will not return here. Unhappy customer here.

From the rooms to the breakfast to the hotel staff, our stay was enjoyable. The front desk manager was amazing and knew so much about MMA, the local area, and the best way to Uber around town or to the airport. Very professional and knowledgeable. ☆☆☆☆☆Unfortunately, both courtesy van's were either old or in need of mechanical repair. The air conditioner was not working but the open windows provided a nice breeze during transport and the drivers were super awesome! ☆☆☆☆The regular maintenance of the pool was questionable due to the cloudy color, residue, amount of leaves, debris and human hair. It needs a good scrub and prompt weekly maintenance.I rated this hotel 5-stars because despite any concerns, I would make reservations to stay there again. There are absolutely no complaints and anyone residing at this hotel would be equally satisfied as well.

Super disappointed in this Bonvoy property. From the outside, it looks new, but the inside is a different story. The room I was given was an upgrade. The fridge freezer was covered in ice everywhere and began trickling down to the fridge. The room felt dirty. The cabinets and appliances seemed off as if they never were intended to match up. The fridge was too small for its space, the stove didn’t seem to belong and the lower cabinets didn’t even run to the floor. The bedroom tv was missing, the ceiling was peeling and stained and the room had cockroaches in the room and outside the area in the hall.

We just checked out and are still in the parking lot of the Residence Inn and I just have to leave a review.We were greeted with a smile the moment we walked in to the building. The lady was very nice and courteous, the place was clean and our room was clean and roomy.Breakfast was good. There were a variety of choices; however, there was only bold coffee and I can’t drink anything that dark. However, we made a pot of coffee in the room and that was good.Overall, it was a great experience!

The staff is friendly, but the facility could use some maintenance help. The air-conditioning unit was loud and would wake me up when it turned on. Additionally, there was no hot water in the morning to shower.

The fact that I’m taking the time to write this speaks volumes. I recently moved over to Marriott after being a diamond member at Hilton. I don’t remember the gentleman’s name at the front desk, however he was the friendliest, nicest, enthusiastic, most helpful hotel front desk / manager I’ve ever encountered at any hotel around the world. Will defiantly be staying here monthly on my work trips to the valley.

Room was clean, nice, updated and spaciousThe breakfast was my favorite!The spread was fantastic and the attention to detail was what made it all the more enjoyable. My husband said they were the best eggs he had ever had. Ms Dora was very nice and attentive. She made us feel very welcomed. We’ll be back
