Decided to tell us we are only allowed to buy 4 fish until we bring in a water sample to prove our tank is atleast 3 days old. How can they tell how old the water is? They told me to just take a sample in a regular tuperware....Not to mention they sold us things without making sure we had everything we needed to actually use those items... We called other locations and found out we just got completely BS'd Very upset.I will drive farther to go to a more reliable location.

Disappointed honestly I came into petco just recently and I asked where is a certain item that I know that they had. The lady that I had asked was specifically in the fish area was very very rude, she didn't give me an answer she paused and said no without explanation honestly was looking at me like I was bothering her or interrupting her.

Went here with family to look around for some stuff and it is so sad to see how poor the hygiene is for these animals. Do better Petco.

The employees were nice and helpful. Good location and in the same shopping plaza someone may frequent to make it a one stop shopping day. I've seen bigger locations, but it seems to have what I need.

Brought my Koda here for the first time, and loved the customer service and Sarah was absolutely amazing!!! She did a great job grooming (Teddy Bear) my Mini Golden-doodle

They canceled my appointment I had three weeks in advance an hour before the appointment time. No reasons given. I’ve seen other reviews about the same issue, I’d take your business elsewhere unless you want to be canceled on last minute.

Today I shopped there for my GS. The 30 minutes I was there I kept hearing this poor dog crying. Very loud. A horrible cry. It just hurt my heart. It was somewhere in the back by grooming probably locked up in a cage. It was horrible. None of these workers were giving it attention or checking on it. I would never take my dog there. I said something to the cashier and all she replied "yeah, someone misses their mommy". Really? This business does not care about the well being of animals, only money!!. I only take my dog to self wash. Ill do it myself. There is no way I will let any groomer touch my pet. 30 minutes of crying out loud like it was in pain....no way I could allow a pet to be in agony and not check on it. Horrible people working there with no empathy, sympathy nor a conscience.

There are a few people who work here who are helpful and kind, and I commend all of you for such high quality customer service. It is very unfortunate that I have to write this review. Today at around 5:00pm my husband came in to buy gold fish and mollies. The lady who was working the fish section (we can't remember her name but she was a little heavy set, pale skinned with black hair down to her shoulders) was EXTREMELY rude and short with him when inquiring about fish and other aquarium supplies. It was very upsetting to receive such attitude because we actually come here a lot since moving to Killeen. I really hope this lady can get some customer service lessons.

I would never recommend this place for grooming at all !!! took my dog in friday the 11th at 10 am to be shaved off because he was matted (mind you i have taken him to other groomers in the past he was worst than that day so i knew the process was going to take all day and i didn't mind paying extra because i knew it was a lot ) so it was our first time here took all of his paperwork regarding shots and rabies and spoke with the grooming she seemed nice told her i was him to get to holiday spa and i knew it was gonna be a lot for my dog so a nice spa/pamper would be great for his skin and because his birthday is coming up soon (december 26th ) i wanted to treat him right! she said of course ill make sure of it and i did tell her that he had an ear infection that was clearing up to remove hair in his ear so it would be better she had me initial and told ok look around 118 but could be more i was fine with that and she will call me when he's ready ... around 4-5 i get a call saying my dog was ready went to go pick him up and saw him so nervous i figured cause he missed me so he wanted to go , grooming told me he was good and all ready to go ended up paying 120 something completely fine groomers gave me a 20% off as a sorry for taking all day which was really nice for her but i was the one saying sorry for the work she did i like to keep my golden doodle shaved off but the process of moving to another state and finding a good grooming place that woulnt charged me a ridiculous amount because of his breed was hard to find... so we went home he was no anxious and he went straight to his crate in my mind i was like ok... well i guess goodnight Oso ... next morning went to take him out so he can go pee hw was all curled up didn't want to get out of him crate had to force him up he wouldn't stop shaking that when i notice the blood my dog is of light fur so any little thing you can notice ... MY DOG HAD BLOOD DRIPPING FROM THE BOTTOM OF HIS TWO EARS ON THE TOP OF HIS HEAD, NECK , BODY AND PRIVATE PARTS !! tried calling the store the store no answer tried calling on sunday no answer so i called corporate told the person everything that had happened took my information himself said he was trying to called the store with no answer as well so he told me i would get a call regarding my experience and the store manager would call me later today ... he ended up calling the next day . THIS MANAGER WAS COMPLETELY RUDE answering the call pretty much like so i got a call from corporate saying you had an issue with your grooming last friday sorry this is the first time I'm hearing about regarding last friday (like it was a long time ago ) so i told him yes last friday like 2 days ago friday and been trying to call the store saturday & sunday with no answer so i called corporate... then he goes ok... was the issue so i began telling him everything and then he stops me and goes on with wellll i heard my groomers side and that's the reason why your dog is bleeding from his ear because of the ear infection ... so i stopped him and told him excuse but how is an ear infection is the reason why my dog is bleeding from the bottom of his ear the top of his head neck body pretty much everywhere I TOLD HIM I HAVE PICTURES IF HE WANTED TO SEE OR IF HE WANTED ME TO GO IN but he goes i don't need pictures ill take your word (but yet is cocky/rude talk was like I'm making all of this up) he was like oh well if you are not satisfied with the grooming next time you can have the head groomer groomed him , stop him and told him no I WILL NOT COME BACK AT ALL and i told him the groomer seemed nice and if it was something she couldn't of handle then she shouldve told me from the begging or hey just take him somewhere else , (never have i had a groomer cut him up this much actually at all ) so he goes if you wanna take him to the vet we would cover it , (yeah but you don't cover the walking fee the antibiotics ) i ended up buying ointment for his cuts and the vet had no opening but she did see him and was like

I made an appointment to get my dog vaccinated. I drove out there only to find that staff wasn't coming in today. I wasn't called or notified in some way. I work a busy schedule and so trying to re-schedule something last min was very stressful.

We were looking for a cockatiel to replace our daughter's cockatiel that died in November (I had had him since 2003 as a capture in a friend of a friend's barn so we had no idea how old he was!), PetCo was the only place that had a cockatiel at the time. The cockatiel our daughter picked out we were told, had been returned 2x! She was up on a perch huddling by herself. This cockatiel never chirped, never seemed interested in much. Other than that, she seems fine except she rarely left her perch. Her beak grew exponentially early last month pretty much over night and we could not do anything to save her! It was too late to return her as they have a 30-day policy. We are now convinced they sold us a sick bird. The food they suggested we feed her was bad. This is not the first negative review I've posted about this PetCo. We gave them a second chance ... they failed! How is this place still in business with people working there who, although they love animals, know nothing about them?

Today i was really upset with a condition of a snake. I watched as this $800 snake struggled to pass a bowel movement. It was clearly and severely dehydrated and malnourished. The young lady told me theyve had it for over a month. The poor thing had stuck shed all over it. Couldnt take a simple dump and was so skinny you could see literally eveything on it. I offered 100 to take it. I was laughed at and was told that they would soak this snake and tell their manager or whomever once they were back from vacation. This isnt an over night fix. A "soak" isnt going to plump her back up. I was absolutely in shock an awe. Poor snake. Probably just going to die there or euthanized.
