I have never met a more friendly group of people from the staff behind the counter to the mail carriers that bring my packages

Every time I have been into this place the staff greets me with a smile and is always super friendly. Every mail carrier I've had has been super awesome. I apologize for so many packages they say that's what keeps us in business mam. I super love them all.

Went in to check on my wife’s Shutterfly book that she created. Although I know UPS doesn’t generally drop off packages, their tracking update showed “no receptacle to leave parcel, left at local post office”. My wife was like ok that’s weird can you just stop by there after picking up my daughter from school. No problem, right? So I stop by and there’s some girl counting money not even in uniform counting her drawer. I question her and without even bother to look at me she says “we don’t deal with that”. Ok so first of all can I explain why I’m here. I’m not dumb I’ve worked both as a carrier and a clerk for the post office. It’s a simple quick look for a package that should be kept on a shelf alphabetically by last name. At least that’s how we did it. She flat out refused to even look. COULD NOT BE BOTHERED. Finally I knew I was getting nowhere and asked the gentleman close by. At first he said “No she says it’s not here” but then decides hey I’ll be a decent person and at least look. Then the girl says “I’m locking you in here”. Now we’ve arrived at the crux of the issue. She was upset I was strolling in at 4 and I guess they were trying to close. I’ve dealt with that very issue working the window and people want to come in last minute with a stack of certified letters with return receipts or something like it. But here’s the difference. I did it without making the customer feel like a bother. I’ve been the one working on Saturdays and getting the bell rang by someone just trying to find a parcel. Or someone with only a tracking number wanting information regarding the location of an important Amazon order. It used to be people helped others without making them feel like you’re a huge inconvenience. Since my family have set foot in this town of Hallettsville I’ve seen an overwhelming majority of rude, unhelpful and downright disrespectful people working at nearly every business I’ve had the displeasure of frequenting. This was just one more on a long list of reasons why Hallettsville will only be a place I’ve resided but never called home.

This place won’t deliver packages because of dogs. Yes my dogs are doing there job and protecting the house but that doesn’t give you the right to kick them constantly. All you have to do is be nice to animals and they will be nice back. My dogs are rescues so they don’t do well with violence. They are the sweetest dog but you have to be nice back. They have no problem with other delivery people cause they are actually nice to the dogs. I have had two packages now that they won’t even attempt to deliver even though there is spot for them to put packages so they don’t have to go near the dogs anymore!!!! We have done everything to prevent the dogs from getting them and now they are saying it is to unsafe to back out or the driveway!! Laziest person ever

The Most terrible post office in this world, they delivered over $100 worth of packages to the wrong address and keep giving me the run around!!! They are saying they aren’t responsible even though they delivered to the wrong address!!! This post office is a joke!!

They will not deliver on Sunday even if you pay extra for Sunday delivery. They list the package as undeliverable, and deliver it on Monday. The laziest post office I have ever dealt with. Not a one time occurance... it has happened three times to me.I spoke to the postmaster herself and she told me she refuses to deliver to my home. I asked for her supervisors name and location and she refused and told me to get out of her building.I have called and tried to complain to the courthouse and newspaper with no avail.

This post office steals holiday cards that have money in them. Anything of value that you have shipped will not make it to your mailbox.
